I have never been to Tunisia (except some 40 years ago as a student "en passage" on the way to Libya. Actually I was refused to enter Libya by land at the Tunisian / Libyan border, however having a valid visa written, and my passport translated into Arabic letters. I stayed a week in Tunis, downtown, not far from the Cathedral. I arrived at night from a flight from Casablanca and the taxi dropped me in a dark dirty lane, a young punk junky was agonizing, throeing in front of me on the road and I quickly tried to find the entrance to my apartment. I would suggest make two bookings separately for the same flight and appt / hotel, but make sure one reservation is fully cancelable and refundable.

Hi Fellow mongerers, we (Three Indian guys) are planning a year end trip to Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. As per wikipedia, prostitution is legal in Tunisia. But also as per internet news, current situation is complicated. We read many brothels are closed and some extremist activities also.

We have 3 agenda:

Tunisia among the Maghreb nations is certainly the most tolerant and sex is seen as a normal aspect of life. Keep in mind that I speak of the tourist coastal area.
