Spare us the broad generalizations ("all", "any one(sic)"). Not only are you quite wrong with your assesment of women in Morocco but you're giving bad advice. Definitely not all women in Morocco are pro's. Not even all the sexy, outgoing, fun, liberated women you might happen upon in the streets, bars or clubs; especially not in Casablanca! And Casablanca is NOT a good/easy place to monger (it's probably the worst if you're just visiting). Marrakech or Agadir would be much better places.

The true "logistical" problems directly linked to the Belguel affair only lasted a couple of weeks at best.

Everything has been back to normal for quite a while now.. with the usual police crackdown every now and then in Marrakech and Agadir because "people" are not paying their dues (read: 'bakshish') or some dignitary is about to come to the city on official business, etc.

There is ample quality supply and prices are just the same (..if you must insist on paying!) as before Belguel ran into trouble for not being able to keep his artistic endeavours to himself. The only difference now is that you will not be able to take a picture of a girl, even for lots of extra cash. 'Makes sense if you ask me.

As of today, the sole casualties left from the Belguel affair are certainly not the few mongers pathetically complaining about how Morocco has ' dramatically' changed with regards to their intended travel purposes but maybe - just maybe- the fifteen women who are still in jail. IMHO

Belguel was a darling a year ago. He seems to have become a villian now. Let us give the man his due. He was a mongerer, who scored well and told it good. Perhaps too good. And that is why he got into a mess. Morroco as a country has a latent underbelly which apes and is influenced by Spain and France.

Impovrishment has meant that all that is Europe is the utopia. Its permissiveness included. Its proximity to it can be a heady mixture for a community for the young Girls and Boys and the old.

I have been to morroco and for the reason stated above, was a good destination for mongering.

So lets leave Belguel alone. He has gone through a bad patch. Mongering will again pick up so donot dispair.
