Abuja Trip
Going to be taking a trip down to Abuja at the end of the month. Going to be a quick 4 day trip but I should still be able to get something nice. I think I'll splurge out for this trip. One or two very very top ladies.

Never use credit cards in Nigeria.

Money withdrawal from ATMs is easy but you will get only the official bank exchange rate which is "quite bad" - better bring cash (USD or EUR) and exchange.
It either in on the "black market" or e. G. In the Four Points. Just an example:
1 EUR via ATM - 331 NGN, via Four Points - 384 NGN and via black market - 410 NGN.
Many times even my Master and Visa Card didn't work ("transaction declined") . So better bring enough cash to exchange..
Never take credits cards to Nigeria, get prepaid reload able cards!
Nigeria is a hot bed of credit card fraud, so use pre paid cards if you must, even ATMs are rigged with number skimming devices and by the time you get home your credit card will be maxed out.
Last time I visited the only place I used my pre paid card was an ATM.
My card was cloned and used to make a booking for a hotel in Texas.
Thank god I had taken out all I put on the card.

Limited time in Nigeria!
I'll have about three days to disappear and it could very well be Nigeria. Best place to visit. A few pointers would be appreciated. First time to the continent. If you want any info on Asia please feel free to PM. I've got a few gems all over the world.

Thanks very much. Any suggestions as to which visa agency I should use?

How difficult is it to get a visa? It looks like I need an invitation from someone or sponsor in Nigeria.

Beautiful report.
Cleared my doubts.

Nice report DV.
As already mentioned earlier, Taxify is a pretty good alternative to Uber at a fraction of the price.
For bars, Troys has a great selection of 9 & 10's.
There's also pretty decent selection of street walkers on Admiralty Way in Lekki phase 1.
Afrointroductions.com is also a pretty good site for girls.
Hope this helps.

Uber:
It works and it is safe, the drivers were friendly and polite and drove decently.
However, there are sometimes not so many cars available. Especially at late night when you maybe want to head back from a club to your hotel with..

Afterwards, she showers and gets dressed. I give her transport money. She then says I need to pay her for sex. I say we only discussed transport money. She refused to leave my room. She demanded 300 usd. I give her some more money and she refuses to budge. Starts texting someone and says her driver is in the lobby. I better pay what she asks for or she will create a fuss and even call the police and complain about me.
I ended up paying her that money to get rid of her. In hindsight, should I have called hotel security to get rid of her? Not sure, if they entertain such requests. In all fairness, she did say she didn't think she'd be having sex as all I said was that I wanted to have fun in the bedroom. But obviously, she she ripped me off.
This is exactly what happened to me 2 years ago and left a very bad taste in my mouth, at that moment in time my head was racing and I didn't want to deal with potential headache on the day of my flight, and yes, in hindsight, probably calling their bluff was better but what was the potential downside is something you need to think about too.
A difference in my story is that I wasnt in an international hotel, so the possibility of hotel looking out for me was way less.

The hotel will never allow and the wouldn't dare. Scam artists like her try their luck and get emboldened by success. Jeez.
Aww man, reading this is ridiculous, you should have called security and had them come take her out immediately. Especially at Radisson of all places. She would have been out very quickly.

1 - Had you been in say Port Harcourt where there's a lot of Oil and Gas work and therefore foreign expats then you wouldn't stand out. Warri is another example.
2 - The main cities that foreigners visit are Lagos and Abuja primarily. Port Harcourt as well.
Glad you had fun though.

Benin City isn't necessarily high on the list of cities for foreigners to visit in Nigeria.

I have never seen a city so easy to be visited walking around along the six or seven roads departing from the Ring.
Do not wait for the night to go out: the city has no public lights almost every nights and walking in the dark is extremely dangerous.
Walking in Benin you will notice that a lot of girls just greet you, if you are a white. It's their way to approach you. Be ready to answer with a sentence like: "Good morning, where are you going?" They will certainly request a contact and the thing starts up.
For those that in the night are still alone.
Just with a little money take a cab to one of the following spots. For bars and pubs the best road is Sapkonba Rd.
Subway: 37, Airport Rd. Great club bar restaurant on three levels.
Time Out: Iyama Rd.
Two or three venues in Ikpokpan Rd.
Cee Why African: 57, Sapkonba Rd. Outdoor club and bar. Another one at the number 61.
Efosa: Sakponba Rd (not far from Ring) with live music sometime.
Expectation of girls is 10000 N if pro, 7000 N if regular.
Keep us posted!
Glad you had a good time. For those that may or may not know. One of Benin City's biggest exports is 'working' girls quite frankly, especially overseas. Often times when you see girls in Italy, Spain, France 'working' and are from Nigeria, they tend to be from Benin City or Edo.
I don't know why Benin City in particular but it's well known that there are a lot of working girls there. Sure, there are a lot in Port Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos and the rest, but Benin City has always had a large draw.
