Now I know a bit more about the trip.

I will stay in Lagos one night, then travel 200 km outside to visit a company.

My main concern right now is how to make a phone call??

My provider told me the coverage from his partner is poor.

Any information if its possible where to buy a prepaid phone card for WiFi access?

    Thanks a lot.

I do not know the answer to your question but maybe one of the other board members can help you. The days of being able to buy a new sim card at the side of the road in Nigeria ended a few years ago. Nowadays network providers require that you register and have your finger prints recorded in order to get a new sim card. The only other option that I know of would be to buy an already registered sim card from somebody here. As I said, maybe another board member knows more.

Transport is organized, / Phone calls?

For a white person, you'the have to tread a tad bit more careful regardless of where you're staying. For a black person, whether from the US or Brazil or Kenya, it'the be easier to blend into the native population.

For Lagos, most places, especially on the island (Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island) are a safe bet if you have a person you're traveling with or a trustworthy travel aid. Best advice is to hire a personal taxi person that can take you around all the spots and will act as a point of reference and will ensure you don't go anywhere unsafe.

Lagos mainland (Ikeja, Surulere, etc) is a bit more rugged, still relatively safe if common sense is employed.

Abuja is another expat hotspot. Abuja is by far the safest and easier to access for foreigners. Again, hiring a personal travel aid should not be too problematic. What I love about Nigeria is the versatility of labour and the hustle mentality of people. A taxi man can quickly turn into a personal travel aid for the right price and he will be eager to barter his services. In the West there's a lot of due process to get people to sell their labour very quickly, I digress.

Apart from Abuja and Lagos as expat hotspots, there's also Port Harcourt as the 3rd place for expats. Port Harcourt (PH) is a very different story. Here you'll really want to keep your wits about you and ensure you move with a driver and aid. If you are looking for ladies I'the suggest go to an upscale club and recruit from there. Stray away from street action (although the same girls in the club are the ones in the street).

In Lagos and Abuja you can definitely check out the street action yourself.

I confirm above as I have driven through to check it out myself. But it is too low for zero. I do not expect anybody on this forum to patronize as I understand that there are some rough guys there. The girls' and general hygiene is also suspect. They only charge N1000-2000 ($6-12) for locals. Maybe a bit more for expats. My verdict. Don't go there, rather look elsewhere!
This place no longer exists as the authorities demolished the whole area at the weekend. All that is left is a few smouldering piles of wood. No idea where the girls and the bars will move to.

Based upon your report I started to use WeChat. Lots of contact from local girls as soon as I uploaded a photo and I hooked up with a young teacher from Ghana and had a great evening with her. So thanks for the tip.

    Akwa ibom

    Hi,

Soon I will be visiting Nigeria, Akwa Ibom, Uyo, Anyone can give a clue on girl friendly hotel and what is the hookup seen there.

    Peek,

Will you be in Lagos? If so, will it be around Victoria Island? If yes, then no real concerns about personal security provided that you use your common sense. Hotel taxis are usually OK to use but are not the cheapest taxi option.

    Hi,

I don't know where you will be, but my last time there I was in Sheraton Lagos and it was not allowed to go out after 6, in the morning its OK and most people are friendly, the risk is always at night especially if you are white.

Another thing don't open the door or answer the intercom for strangers never.

Overall you should be OK and enjoy your time.

I managed several hookups from Wechat, all incalls. Seems to be more "normal" girls looking for cash on the side. Or perhaps most girls are like that in Nigeria?

One 22 yo girl came to my room, ate some chocolate, and fucked off. Zero hanky panky. She was keen to return for more chocolate though.

Another insisted that she was not coming for sex, because she is not a prostitute. After an hour of chit chat, we were smooching with her hand on my dick. No fucking because it was red letter day. So she gave an amateurish BJ. Sometimes an inexpert BJ beats a pro one, if its done with sincerity. That was the case here. After a long, long session I eventually gushed a cupful into her mouth. She took it like a champ, swallowing and coming back for seconds. Fucking brill. She didn't ask for money, but accepted the 10 k taxi money in the morning.

I also tried Tagged. No luck there.
