lol, 1500? That would be like a 2 or a 3. The ones you see begging, they would go for that. I'm afraid nowadays that would be at least 3000 in the smaller communities. Lagos I've had a couple who wouldn't leave without 10.000 in their pocket. An exception more then rule, but it indicates the evolution.

But I never had locals arrange anything for me. Maybe that helps some.

    Lagos hot spots

A quick review of the bar scene in Victoria Island, downtown Lagos.

    Trick's Music Bar

Tarzan Boat Jetty, Lekki Expressway, 1/2 way between ExxonMobil HQ and Palms Shopping Mall

Expat managed. Open-air bush bar with around 20 large tables and covered by a canopy. Inside there are more tables and 2 pool tables. Flatscreen TV's and WiFi access. Food is plentiful and reasonably priced but service a little slow on the food. Open 24/7. Live music on Weds, Fri and Sunday. Sunday evening is the busiest day and you need to get there early to get a table. House rules for the WG's who are in abundance most evenings. The girls are generally well behaved.

    Y-Not

Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, next to Globe Motors.

Bar / Pool hall / Nightclub open 24/7. Lebanese managed. Downstairs is a zoo, with very aggressive, hustling WG's. There is a dancefloor and several pool tables downstairs. Outside there is another bar and open air tables. Limited food menu. Upstairs is a VIP room which is limited to a selection of girls who are less aggressive. Don't bother paying the 500 Naira entry fee.

    News Cafe

By entrance 2, Palms Shopping Mall, off Lekki Expressway.

Upmarket bar/cafe with around 15 tables. Decent menu if a little pricey. WiFi access. Pleasant for an afternoon G&T. Open from 10am to late 7 days. Live music Saturday eveings. Frequented by higher class hookers and runs girls (part timers) in the evenings, especially Friday and Saturday.

    Step Inn

Plot 262, Sinari Daranijo Street, Victoria Island, behind Zenith Bank HQ English style pub/guest house. Around 10 tables. Recently opened and managed by the same Expat guys who ran the Outside Inn. Located on a quiet street in a converted duplex and offering a good menu and reasonably priced drinks. Open from lunchtime to late 7 days. The Full English Breakfast (available all day) is highly recommended. Excellent WiFi access. WG's are not encouraged but there are always a few hanging around outside most nights.

    Michael's Bar

Adetokunbo Ademola Street, opposite Ocean View restaurant, Victoria Island Bar / restaurant. Lebanese managed. Good food menu with good size portions. Open from lunchtime to late 7 days. Live band on Saturday evenings. WG's in abundance most evenings, generally well behaved.

    Pat's Bar

Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, close to Victoria Crown Plaza hotel. English style pub / guesthouse. Expat management. Open 7 days mid morning to late 7 days. WiFi access. Good pub grub menu and generally good service. Live band Thursday evening, high school style disco Saturday evening. Plenty WG's around most evenings especially Friday & Saturday.

Sigh, 10k!!! Last time I took one from pats it cost me 5.000 and 500 taxi. A very happy girl and and I had a great service. If one wont leave the room before she gets 10k I will know how to curse at.

Well, Pat's Bar is still a good place to go. I actually like the place for a decent dinner at a reasonable price (for Lagos). They serve a nice Sheppard's Pie.

A friend hooked up with a non-pro, while plain in appearance, actually quite friendly, cute, and free. I took home a good looking girl named Betty. She would not discuss pricing, so I took my chances. A full service gal, and eager for more the next morning, I gave her 10,000 Naira and sent her off.

I still have her number if anyone wants it (via PM)

    Asian Babes

Not in the China town. In fact none of the asian girls who are domiciled in Lagos are available. But if you go to the bar at the Sheraton, you will find chinese girls who have been brought and allowed to mingle as FL's but are actually planted there by an agent. These girls are brought from China for a hefty fee, which is paid in advance there in China. They then have to earn the money and give it to the agent and clear the debt with interest and some profit too before they get back to China. Some stunningly good looking ones around.

    "Sex workers 'targeted' in Nigeria

Islamic authorities in the Nigerian city of Bauchi have reportedly launched a crackdown on sex workers identified by the Red Cross in a census.

The BBC's Shehu Saulawa in Bauchi says that the local Sharia commission has begun rounding the women up.

But a commissioner said no arrests had been made and authorities were merely "supervising" against illicit acts.

The Red Cross carried out the census amid efforts to tackle the spread of HIV in the north-eastern state.

Muslim majority Bauchi is governed by the Islamic Sharia law.

After the census had identified 320 women, the local Sharia commission ordered that they be rounded up, our correspondent reports from Bauchi.

He says the Sharia commission seems to have been prompted to act by the perception that it was unable to enforce a ban on commercial sex workers in the state.

The Red Cross identified sex workers amid efforts to tackle HIV

The Sharia commission normally liaises with the police, he says, but this time they acted directly, using their own security force to raid hotels housing an unknown number of sex workers.

Mustapha Babe, a member of the Sharia commission in Bauchi, denied that any women had been detained, saying the committee responsible for law and order was only supervising parts of the city.

"In every nook and corner and cranny, illegal acts were being committed contrary to Sharia law," he said.

"As a result of this, we sent them to supervise the areas where something has happened."

Between 75 and 100 of the 320 women have so far tested positive for HIV.

Several of Nigeria's Muslim majority northern states introduced Sharia law starting in 2000, despite opposition from Christians, sparking clashes and riots between rival groups.

The new laws reintroduced some of the harsher Islamic penalties which had been removed under colonial rule."

    Yours, C.
You can use the services of companies like starcomms, visafone, reltel. They charge an initial fee between 10,000-15,000 naira. Thats between $85-$120. Then there is the monthly fee of bout $60-80 depending on the company. They all have PCMIA cards you can slot into your laptop. Service is quite ok. You can check out the websites of these companies for more details.

    Ahhhh, Lovely Lagos!

returned to lagos for the first time in a year, and not much has changed. went to check in to the eko hotel, and found out they were overbooked by 25. a delegation decided not to check out even though i had a confirmed reservation! luckily, i had other accomodations for that evening, and was finally able to get in the next night. they are continuing the renovations here, and the new rooms in the mail hotel are quite nice. from the standpoint of a safe accomodation for a white westerner, this is still the only real place in town.

two days ago, i hung out by the bar at the pool. little or no action. a few looked available, but plus-sized. not my type. i like them built for speed, not for comfort. the bar was quite crowded. someone told me that they have made a concerted effort to keep the girls out.

last night, went out with the entourage. started at pat's bar. it was crowded, but mostly guys. a few pros inside hanging at the door. they looked a little long in the tooth for my tastes, and only about 3-4, but it was early, about 9 pm. out front, also about 3-4 girls were trolling around, who didn't want to pay to get in. maybe 5s on a 10 scale.

left and headed to ynot. yes, it was early. but, the place still had plenty of girls. 20 or so were in the entry courtyard, perhaps 50 in the downstairs bar, but only a handful upstairs in the nicer lounge. the girls upstairs were pretty hot, perhaps a 8 or 9 on a 10 scale. a little too much body odor for my liking. the girls were pretty aggressive, both upstairs and down. my friends decided that since we were about the only guys there, that we needed to move on as it was like dangling fresh meat in front of crocodiles.

so, of we went to michael's, which used to be havanna. packed with the expat crowd along with the girls, but here, more evenly matched. had a very aggressive girl with close cropped hair attach herself to me. again, this one was not my speed, but she couldn't take a hint to leave, so finally, i had to be rather blunt. however, about 25% of the girls i would consider hot, and the rest i would have passed on.

finally, i spotted a wallflower that rated in my book a solid 8. not aggressive. thin, with a few blemishes but no tattoos. accent was a little hard, but her english was quite good. took her for the evening. she had a delightful smile, and was definitely a pro. her name is stephany. i didn't ask, but she looked like she was in her mid to late 20s.

got back to the hotel. she was definitely clean, good hygiene, and no odor. after washing up, she gave me a nice massage, followed by a bbbj. moved on to a little daty, followed by two can chew (69). she wasn't into anal, but covered sex was in. let her finish up bbbj. next morning, folllowed a similar repertiore, finishing with a nigerian cowgirl. gave her a croaker (usd$100), which she was happy to have (i probably overpaid, but that was the smallest i had), and n$500 cab fare. she was cute and sweet, and would definitely recommend her services.

overall, for the hobbyist, there is no shortage of resources here. just watch the streets. came out of a restaurant the other day with a colleague after eating lunch, only to watch a confrontation in the street. the "area boys" (local thugs) were getting into it with the police over a car towing. the police drew their weapons and fired in the air, the about 1000 people rep001tered as we watched. we were standing next to a drainage ditch, and this guy comes over during all of this, drops his pants, and proceeds to take s dump right in front of us. welcome to lagos!

    cheers all!

    frank
