Nothing has changed down here. Except for a new government, but that also doesn't make a change.

The girls are still out, the beach is still pristine, and the water blue like always.

My contract finishes at the end of the year, and considering the holiday I have left over I am outta here very soon.

If you read all the articles you have your guide, just follow it.

Do not rely on the beach boys to show you around. Find any decent local, for example one who drives HIS OWN car and he should be ahppy to go mongering with you. You pay for beers and girls, he shows you around.

There is a possibillity to cash money with CC at the Rokel Bank, but it is time consuming and very expensive. I would take cash and change on the black market (current exchange USD 1 = 3000 Leones, EURO 1 = 3600).

Alternatively, if you stay longer, talk to the Lebanese owners of supermarkets. They all have European or US bank accounts to which you can transfer money via online banking from your home bank account and then they will pay you out in cash with the black market rate. That saves you about 20 Dollars per 100 compared to local banks or Western Union.

It is the most convinient and economical solution. Talk to the owner of Freetown Supermarket, for example. He is very reliable.

As stated before in reports...it is extremely easy to score regular girls here..They litterally throw themselves at you....As for the working girls...Some try to lure you into some dodgy diamond deals or use other scams so beware... The people are very friendly and as stated before...it is not Africa for the beginner...but out of the 5 West African countries i visited on this trip..Sierra Leone was the most rewarding....

A cheap guesthouse will be around 10-15$ per night. I would invest a bit more...

Decent Guest houses are Diana's or Jay's, not too far from all the action which takes place in Aberdeen. I don't know the price but you can check www. visitsierraleone.org, they have a list with all the guesthouses with telephone numbers.

A very cheap one that has been recommended on the board for short visits is Dr. Bendu's/Sweet Mother'S Guesthouse on the Beach Road, also convenient location. But I would not leave my valuables behind reception...

For better comfort try Possehs or Korea Guesthouse.

A Beck's will set you back about 2$ in a nightclub, a local brand 1$.

If you charter a taxi, it is about 5$ per hour or the same for any reasonable distance you will need to cover. If you live in the same neighborhood as the nightclubs a ride home should be 3$.

If you enter as a normal passenger (make sure the driver understands you dont want to charter!), a ride is about 20 cents for a shorter distance (<3km). They drive along fixed routes. You can also take minibusses (Poda Podas) which cover longer distances.

I promised some more insights into my daily job. I was even p-mailed about wether I recommend NGO or business work in order to be able to live down here.

Well, I dont know much about NGO work life, but I can tell you that my routine here is pretty boring: All this paperwork! It makes me crazy. Thank God I have a secretary who knows how to deal with that.

Well, I made the dive Friday. Took a friend from my housekeeper with me, just so that the only white face is not goofing around too obviously. Even though in this place you are sticking out anyway, no matter how many artificial mates you bring along. Must say that i didn't feel to comfy, but the result was alright. Very willing and with a body to die for. Cushioned at all the right places. Damage was about 8$ plus guesthouse (plus 3 cents for a condom, that some people on this board don't seem to be willing to afford (see Kenya thread for more on this issue)).

She was so good that I told her to come back the next day. Efremofs shooting-during-the-day has some advantages. Here are some results:
