Beware of anyone who tells you its okay to try and bring girls to your Airbnb without explicitly cosigning with the owner on that matter. People beware, a French expat rented an apartment in muneera downtown back in 2017 and a few months later hosted his girlfriend who came visiting from abroad, word got out the same night, door was kicked down and they got attacked by thugs and got their belongings stolen because the landlord was so mad thinking that the tenant is turning it into a brothel. The guy changed accommodation and learned his lesson the hard way. He posted a rant on facebook and it went viral.

It is not worth it. There are furnished apartments in certain areas in Giza that is known for being rented to gulf tourists in which late night parties, alcohol and hosting ladies of the night is well tolerated. Search for those and only those.

No much experience with actually reserving through Airbnb, but almost all ads there state clearly and explicitly that marriage certificate should be shown if any of the couple is Egyptian nationality, but no problem if both the couple are non-Egyptians. So I think they would relax if at least the main tenant is foreigner, but not sure how they would actually react if Egyptian tenant.

Maybe there are some few exceptions here or there that can be found by extensive searching on Airbnb? I will update here if I found something.

As a landlord myself renting out units there is no such thing as requiring tenants to provide marriage certificate whether they are foreigners or locals or mixed, this is pure bullshit.

However, as I said in my previous posts, they are simply taking advantage of naive foreigners who don't really understand the Law and would rarely challenge the made up rules.

Fact of the matter is as long as it is not a hotel there is nothing to stop you from bringing in a sharmoota (except envious sexually frustrated neighbors or the poorly-paid doorman who is jealous a sharmoota makes more than what he makes an entire month in just an hour and will do whatever it takes to make your life miserable. Let's face it this is the reality of us Egyptians and I am not afraid to admit it).

I have had good luck with Seeking Arrangement. There are fewer scammers and gold diggers in Egypt than there are on that site in America. One common technique that I noticed happening repeatedly in a clear pattern is that many of them on first or second contact and after some chat start to tell stories about immediate hardship they face (stuff like they have no money to eat or get medication etc.).

And of course it sounds fake as it makes no sense at all the coincidence between this hardship and one's 1st /2nd contact, as if it's the very famous plot of "damsel in distress" and wow (what a coincidence!) You are the hero who just came in time to save her!

Only God knows how much money these WGs make in real and how much they hide.

My advice for you is to take care and think carefully about how fake are these stories, and in general don't show admiration words for any WG because most of them for sorrow will abuse you more when they hear it. Monitor your personal finance and budget continuously, be reasonable in your expenses. Mongering doesn't mean to go bankrupt.

Dear mongers,

I'm looking to book an Airbnb apartment in Maadi to bring guests. However, most of the hosts either ask for marriage certificates or say that guests are not allowed. Any pointers to where I can find a place to rent to host girls?

Legally there is no Law in Egypt that says you are not allowed to bring a single woman into your private apartment whether rented or owned (and yes that includes Airbnbs). They are just taking advantage of your naivety as a foreigner. As long as the rules of the Airbnb listing itself don't state clearly guests aren't allowed, then go ahead and bring the sharmoota without a single worry.

If the doorman harasses you on your way up with a sharmoota, give him a pack of cigarettes or tip him LE 100. If that doesn't work, tell him politely to fuck off, and that you understand the Law very well and that he is very well welcome to call the cops (which he wouldn't anyway, but it would convince him you are confident and know what you are doing).

They may tell you it is socially and religiously unacceptable to bring a woman into your place etc. , but the truth is they are just secretly envious you are banging some pussy and they aren't. Simple as that really, but just goes to the show the ridiculous and hypocrite personality of us Egyptians.

Worst comes to worst just threaten the host by leaving a negative review or even making a formal complaint to Airbnb requesting a refund (again, as long as the host didn't state in his listing that guests not allowed, you are not doing anything wrong, they are just using scare tactics against you).
