I searched the thread for "prices" and I think this post by "Egy Monger New" (many thanks) explains a lot of supply / demand factors (which determine the prices at the end). I can see now that max should be 2500 at any time and that 3000 is a ripoff whatever the look / shape of the girl.

There is a cunning practice that happens in many things here in Egypt and I think worldwide too, in which the providers of services change the price according to "how much they perceive / estimate about your possible personal budget for the service". So, if they think you are a high budget guy because of your nationality or your career or your "bragging", they would ask you for considerably higher prices than their usual rates for the exact same service.

Other than the obvious 100% jump in prices, after the Saudis and Kuwaitis were allowed back in the classic old dirty habits returned:

- not answering calls and delayed answers of WhatsApp messages.

- agreeing on a specified time then disappearing.

- during a meeting always an excuse for trying to cut time short and leave early.

Sounds harsh, but I wish we go into lockdown and borders would close again.

I am not a legal expert. But according to Egyptian law you did nothing wrong. The penalty in the prostitution law falls on the lady and her pimp, not on the pleasure-seeker who pays money in exchange for sex.

Absolutely correct during the lockdown period when borders were closed sharmootas that now ask LE 2000 or 2500 were going for 1500 and sometimes even lower (check back my reports from the time).

If prices go any higher than they currently are (and they will as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia begin to operate more flights), I will give up mongering in Egypt and monger overseas only.

Think of it like hotel rooms prices. Many hotels price exact same room for tourists in much higher numbers than when the guest is Egyptian. Because it's generally perceived that tourists budget for hotel rooms is much higher.

The penalty may fall on the lady, but the humiliation of being dragged out with them to the police station is more than enough, even if you don't face formal charges.

I visited a Russian girl in a hotel and when I came to her room the security called so I ran down stairs and found one of the hotel's security waiting for me. He took a copy of my ID and made sign a paper that I didn't know that its not allowed to make room visits.
