I don't know why many of you seem to think there is a 'sign' outside the building. You are either Egyptian and living in a stone or pretending to be one. And if you are just a one week visitor who might be Egyptian but living abroad there is no way you can find this apartment without the help of someone who went there before. Forget about taxis or asking around, because this is not a clever idea. This isn't Maadi or Zamalek you know, it's Maryuteya.

I will get around to reading the rest of those PMs (believe me there are many, and some people still think it is ok to ask for the number when they have contributed nothing at all to the Egypt forum) and see who I could trust with this number...

You are right buddy, I used to know a similar one in Ain Shams area but unforunatly it is now closed because someone got the phone number and. Yo know the rest of the story.

The best way to find a similar place is either through a real trusted friend or through a street walker who can help you with.

I was calling some telephone numbers for massage parlors from an old copy of Al Waseet advertising newspaper, just on a whim hoping that not all of the places had actually closed down. I had never looked much at Giza anyway but expected to be in the neighborhood this last weekend so gave it a shot. Many numbers were indeed out of service, but one turned out to be for the Siag hotel's front desk (33860112), which forwarded me to the health center where they confirmed they had massage. So I headed there, kind of worried that it would just be a legit hotel health club with sport massage (and probably by a guy).

But once I saw the Siag I was reassured. It is one of these deteriorating, ugly, depressing, 40 year old hotels that seems to just barely be holding on, like the Sherazade in Agouza where I had nice times at a similar "health club" a long time ago. (The hotel is on Maryutia Road by the canal, turn left on Maryutia Road off Pyramids Road heading toward the pyramids).
