Anyway, plenty of action to be found in Maadi around El Laselky Street and El Nasr Street after 8 PM (esp. Thursdays and Fridays). Keep circling around and you'll find a mix of Egyptian and Sudanese streetwalkers (some real gems to be found and some not-so-good). 'Hot spot' area seems to be in front of 'Gracias' bar/restaurant at the moment. They do have a tendency to respond to foreigners as opposed to locals, so use that to your advantage. A 'big' or 'expensive' car may be necessary.

the hyatt has good massage facilities, but only if you are looking for a decent massage. the first two times i inquired, there was only the male therapists available so i did not bother to book at all. at the third try, i was able to book a female therapist for massage, and she was a big muscular lady who took her job very seriously. nice massage though, during which i did not even bother to think anything else than the massage itself.

It's kind of hard to find some of the MPs for the first time if you don't have time to hunt and without Arabic. With a day or two, from where you are staying, Sherry Nile in the Ramses Hilton near Tahrir Square would be one good option (I've never been, though). It is on the swimming pool floor of the Ramses (not Nile) Hilton near the barber shop. Follow the signs for the health club.

The Hyatt is on the same island, Manial, as Nile Gym (Hyatt is on the northern tip, Nile Gym in the middle). Get a taxi driver to take you to "Kubri Gamaa" (University Bridge), but don't cross the bridge, just get out before. There will be a large mosque here. Across the street is an apartment building and there is a sign for Nile Gym which is on the first floor up.

Was in Cairo for two nights a month ago, and stayed at the Grand Hyatt. Very nice hotel, although the security precautions were scary and disturbing! Could see easily at least 20 men (in hotel uniforms) wandering around, and following me with their eyes at all times, which I thought would make it completely impossible to bring in a short-term girlfriend. My return flight was scheduled only around noon next day, therefore I wanted to check the local scene after the business dinner with clients, but had no idea where to start from. I checked few taxis in front of the hotel seeking an english-speaking young driver. Was not that hard to find! Told him I wanted to go to a night club. And he took me to an upscale, cabaret sort of place with egyptian belly dancing and singers. No thanks! He gave it one last try to a similar place before he hit the road to the infamous Africana!

It was almost 1am when we were there, and the place was only half full with many men and only a few girls! However the ratio completely reversed in less than an hour, and it became almost packed! Girls mostly from Sudan, Cameron, Ethiopia as they claimed. I chatted with a few girls, and the going rate was 100-200 USD.

Decided on a 20-year old beauty from Cameron for 150 USD. I wanted to take her to my hotel, but she insisted we go to her place saying her passport is at home and she can't go to a hotel. Then we agreed to pass by her place to pick her passport up and then move to the hotel. Half an hour drive to her place. She asked me to wait. I was still in the same taxi from the hotel and two egyptian guys approached the driver claiming they are the police and started asking questions. I was frightened like hell and sweating. Then they asked few questions to me in a broken english. I wasn't sure whether they were asking for money, or whether they saw the girl leave the taxi, or whether they were sent by the girl. Well I have no bloody idea! I think the taxi driver was also totally frightened although he denied it later on. Few more questions and they then let us go without any hassle. No money to the girl, no bahshish/tip to the guys!

I ofcourse asked the driver to drive back to Africana! Another half an hour drive back mostly in small side streets in a very undeveloped area! What an adventure at 3:30am in the morning! I was already very tired and mentally exhausted so immediately went to a girl who looked OK and started chatting. Almost perfect English for a girl from Sudan! She told me she is not working that night, but could offer her sister for 150 USD. The only problem was that the sister spoke no single word of english! I asked to see the sister. Back to hotel. Passed the security at the gate. Walk of shame to the elevator. Two security men followed us but we were able to get in before them, however he openned the door before the elevator moved! He got in, greeted us with a good morning. Then I started talking non-stop on how great Cairo is, how much I enjoyed the city, the pyramids, the food. Bla bla bla. He probably was not expecting this and just listened us with few nods in between. Then we were at our floor and he followed us to my room from 3-4 meters behind, probably to check which room I am in. We managed to get into the room without any hassle. Big relief.

Her name was something like Reka, but I am not sure I got it correct. She was quite good in bed. BBBJ and DFK was no issue, and she complied with my request for massage, but her ass was too tight anyway even for my finger. She wanted sex without the condom, but ofcourse I declined.

I paid a few visits to a few of the massage parlors in November, and noticed that the scene has changed a lot lately.

Things at Dream were especially disappointing. First, I was surprised to learn that M**a, whom I had been seeing regularly, no longer works there, nor does petite M***r. (M**a in particular was a gem – flirty, sassy, with an amazing body. I’ll never forget the way she enticed me the first time I saw here, lying on the table with her bra on but panties off, or how she would give me a sexy wink as we made it in missionary. At Dream I saw one of the women whom I had previously seen on my visits to the International Center for Chinese Medicine in Giza. She’s nice and there’s a pleasantness to her face but I wouldn’t consider her very good looking. So I wondered if ICCM had gotten a new crop of more attractive girls. It turned out to be wishful thinking, because when I went down to Giza to check things our I discovered that ICCM had closed! The signs had been removed from the building lobby and from outside the flat where it had been located. Another big disappointment. I’ll miss ICCM, although my sessions there had varied widely in quality. I wonder where the attractive girls who had worked there have moved on to.

At Bella Donna’s Lebanon Square location in Mohandiseen I had another massage without extras, since I wasn’t getting the sense from my masseuse (who commutes daily from Tanta in the Delta to Cairo! ) that a happy ending was in store. A couple of massages at Nile Gym did result in nice HJs, but nothing more was available. The girls were friendly, and Nile is still the cleanest (if a bit sterile) MP of the lot. But I can’t figure the attitude of the management. Coach K (not the one from Duke) and the woman there are sometimes friendly and other times grumpy, and give me a somewhat strange vibe. But Nile does offer Moroccan hammam treatments as well as massage, at the same price (LE150 for an hour).

I didn’t get to Dana Center in November, and despite the drawbacks with its facilities it may be the best MP option going these days. Epicurien2, to find Dana don’t worry about the address. On Ahmed Urabi Street heading in the direction of Sudan Street, just a few blocks before Sudan, look on your right for Al Andalus and Fanawees cafes. After Fanawees there is a one-story white building. Go through the alley between Fanawees and the white building and you will be on a small side street with Dana in front of you a little bit to your right. It has a sign for "Coiffeur; " just enter the hallway to the left of Dana and ring the bell of the first door you see, or knock on the glass on the street entrance.

Things appear to be very fluid these days in the world of Cairo massage parlors. Let’s keep our eyes open for new places to replace the ones that have closed or where standards have dropped. The good providers and nice looking girls must have gone somewhere, right?

Russians in Naama Bay are mostly working with the russian mafia for High-price clients (casino clients, affluent Arab tourists) there are the odd freelance russian tourist that decides ro stay and works solo you can find them in night clubs like Little Budddha or Black house.

There is a new chinese massage place opposite to the old market that just opened. I heard it offers extra services. I will trying in out and report shortly.
