    Clitoritectomy

This is interesting because I was also acquainted with a girl from Burkina Faso who had been "cut" at birth. She was also dynamite in bed. She even pestered me to the point of quarrel in bed when I only wanted to sleep while she needed release. She was the closest to a clinical nympho I ever came.

As I explained in a previous post, I'm convinced the theory that clitoritectomy renders girls frigid is wrong. I think it does quite the reverse. Because they can no longer masturbate and need strong vaginal pounding to attain orgasm, cut women are more often than not the type who can't get enough.

Think of the logic from the man's point of view: why would a (male-dominated?) society want to make girls frigid? Depriving women of their wanking button, however, makes perfect sense: no cock = no orgasm, there!

I also suspect that if the mutilation occurs early enough in life, preferably at birth, nerve endings will redistribute and regrow throughout the vaginal area, where male stimulation during intercourse is at its most efficient. This would deserve some serious medical research but it is one which is not likely to be carried out any time soon since the presently accepted, simplistic theory (male cruelty to women bla-bla-bloody-bla ...) fits in so well with the prevailing party line.

Detecting clitoritectomy is not always easy unless you have a prolonged relationship with a girl. But next time you get a nympho in bed in a country where sexual mutilations are know to happen, pay attention to her genitalia. Sometimes it's hard to see anything but you can feel with your tongue that "something is missing". And pound her like there's to be no tomorrow because that's the treatment the poor creature needs if she's to come anywhere near orgasm.

    missing photo

Sorry it did not attach. Trying again. I chickened out at the last minute and hid her face - I will be back and I would hate to create problems for her. Take it from me she is gorgeous.

    recent Addis trip

Just back from Addis. I had a not very good experience for the second time with a girl in the Ghion lobby and will give up on those in future. The Dome was as ever a happy hunting ground althugh even here it can be hit and miss. It seems to me that the ones looking for a boyfriend and maybe a way out are usually the more adventurous in bed. The out and out hookers less so. Attached is a pic of one who looked stunning on the dance floor and naked but sex was mediocre to say the least. No bj of any kind and no reverse oral - very much wham bam thank you for the birr.

Whilst in the Dome I got talking to a guy (Afro American) who apparently ran a club called Kingston where according to him al sorts of things went on - it sounded like a kind of lap dancing club where anything goes. Anyway the tel number he gave me did not work and after asking several taxi drivers I found one who knew of the place but advised strongly against going there as he said it was real rip off place - the kind where you get stung 80 bucks for just talking to a girl. However chatting to an ex pat it did seem that there are some good strip-type clubs in Addis. Next time perhaps. In the meantime a stunner from the Dome.

    About Ethiopian Consulate in Dubai

    PhD Fares,

Yes, it's possible there may be one there now. At the time of my first trip in December of '02 I did internet research and found out that the nearest one was in Saudi.

Also on arrival at Addis airport on that trip the immigration people there told me that there is no Ethiopian diplomatic office in the UAE.

I could never understand why they wouldn't have anything here. A trip to the York bar or the Garage is evidence enough of the Ethiopian presence here.

But anyway it's great if they have one now. Dubai is going gangbusters with tourists and other business so every country in the world should have a consulate here. The Philippines also just opened a new one here this year.

UAE does have Ethiopian Consulate in Dubai

    Paradise

Well, gentleman, in my eyes Ethiopia is paradise.

I like the historical sights but mostly I like it because the girls.

I was able to find easily girls in any town (Addis, Lalibela, Gondar, Bahar Dar, Butadjira, Debre Zeit, Ambo, Dire Dawa, Harar).

I always went evenings in some bar. I newer had any problem to take any girl in the hotel with. I newer had any problem in any hotel. No one asked for some special payment to bring girl with.

Price was usually 10 to 15 USD per night. Usually they refuse to stay shorter then the whole night, because they do not like to walk in night alone in the streets.
The girls were usually not so much in oral sex (quite often the first reaction was laugh), but some get used to it after some time.

I like anal sex and I was quite successful to have it in Ethiopia. Roughly in 50% of cases I was successful. I was polite. In the bed (usually after the first “round”) I asked for anal sex. Firstly they were surprised, but some 25% agreed instantly and another 25% of them agreed when I paid them 5 to 10 USD more.

    Sex was often quite good.

I will go back for sure.

    Clytorectomy

In spite of never being in Africa, I have a large experience in African women here in Roma (Italy),where a plenty of African expats live.

The so called FGM (female genital mutilation) is a typical tradition of the tribal Africa and has no direct connection with the religons (apart the animism).
The kind of mutilation changes from country to country and can change even in the same country from tribe to tribe.

In Somalia and some countries around it,the clytorectomy is accompanied by the total cutting of the external lips and the surgery of the whole vulve.A secondary verginity is so created. It is called infibulation or locally 'sunna'.

Otherwhere, such as in West Africa, they are used to cut totally or partially the clytoris, wich is common in almost every subsaharian countries.
But it has nothing to do with Islam, on the contrary it is more usual in the christian-animist regions.
I report a table - see attachement - with the % ratio of mutilated women in the several Nigerian states. As you notize, states as Katsina,Sokoto,Kaduna,Kano - wich are muslim - present a much lower % then other christian ones.(But don't enjoy about it:in Katsina they stone adulterous women!).

So don't be amazed if a Christian - Orthodox country as Ethiopia (the religion is the same of Greece and Russia) practisize the clytorectomy and the polygamy like any other subsaharian land.

    Visa on arrival

I was able to get a visa on arrival twice, most recently in April of this year. This may have been because I'm resident in a country (UAE) that doesn't have an Ethiopian embassy or consulate. But I seem to remember people from places in Europe that would figure to have Ethiopian embassies also getting their visas on arrival.

It does involve waiting around for half an hour or more, so for that reason it may be worth getting a visa in advance.

The cost was something like $10 worth of birr. Again the fact of coming from somewhere with no Ethiopian diplomats moderated the price.

    Visa requirements

Good Enough did not mention when he was last in Addis Ababa but I think the visa process has changed since he was. My experience relates to last month.

If you are from somewhere like the USA, Canada and most countries of the European Union (including Germany) you can now get a visit visa at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa. The cost is 20 U.S. dollars. Be sure to have U.S. notes because they do not accept other currencies (by the way, you will also need to pay 20 dollars on departure).

Visas are issued in the arrivals area before passport control. There are two windows: first go to the window on the right and hand in your passport, then pay your 20 bucks at the other window. Finally, return to the first window to collect your passport. You are now finished and do not need to get in line for passport control checks.

The visa issuing process can be slow if there are a lot of people arriving. Request a seat near the front of the aircraft so you can get ahead of the posse on arrival.
You can check up-to-date visa information by calling the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Addis Ababa. They speak English and are very helpful. Your hotel or other contact in Addis should be able to get the number.

Nowadays it is possible to receive a Visa at the Bole airport. It is even cheaper as if you apply for one in your country. You have to pay in Birr, but it is no problem, since you can change at the airport even in the middle of the night. The whole process does not take very much time, you have to wait for your baggage anyhow.
As for infibulation, it is even common amongst orthodox Ethiopians, here, "Good Enough" is wrong. I am surprised he never explored dduring 2 years time. There are different degrees, i am sure you will find out by yourself.

I guess our experiences are just different. I spent two years in Ethiopia, was based in Addis, and travelled reasonably extensively in the country. As I said before, in all of that time, I only met one woman who had a clitorectomy, and she turned out to be dynamite in bed. I did not realize that the Orthodox Christians engaged in this type of barbarous practice, but thanks for letting me know. It somehow changes my perspective a bit, and I guess my respect for them has diminished somewhat as a result.

Like you, I found the sex readily available, but pretty basic. Though I must admit that a couple of girlfriends that I had while there responded very well to patient tutoring in the oral sex department. I never did know of a single guy who was able to achieve anal sex in Ethiopia however. Strangely enough, I found the Eritreans in and around Asmara less inhibited than the Ethiopian girls. Maybe that's a result of being in the Army and fighting, with the men, in the trenches against the Ethiopians.

Thank you for the Visa GoodEnough. I guess I will have to be happy just with vaginal and oral sex in Addis. But, after a few weeks in Saudi I will not more have such sophisticated wishes, like Analsex.

    cut clits in Ethiopia

I spent 2 years in Addis and 20 years in Africa. While cliterectomies are often associated with Muslim practice in many parts of Africa, in Ethiopia it is common to both Christians and Muslims, although less so with urbanized, educated girls. I encountered it often among Orthodox Christian Ethiopian women, unfortunately. As far as how behavior in bed is concerned, it depends on how extensive the cutting is. There is a whole range of practices, some of them are quite severe and debilitating, unfortunately. In general, I found that Ethiopian women like sex, but prefer to keep it basic. Oral sex, for example, was usually not on offer, except from pros. It is definitely not necessary to go the pro route.

You will need to get a visa before you go, and you can get one in a day from any Ethiopian Embassy. As a rule, you cannot get a visa in the airport unless it's arranged beforehand by an Ethiopian contact, and even with that, it's a large hassle.

The cutting is reserved for Muslims, and the Orthodox Christians do not practice it. In all the time I was there, I only met one girl who had been cut, and she was actually from Somalia. As to anal sex, I was never able to convince any of the women I was with to try it, and neither could any of my friends in Addis. It is not common practice in Ethiopia and unless you get really lucky, I doubt you will find it.
