I wish I could come back there soon unfortunately not until about 5 months at least.

As for Ethiopian women being cold I will say I have met many who are about business but if you hook one they are very affectionate and the people in general very kind. All in all you can't lose there though so keep humpin!

Great Info! I'm planning a trip in September and I'll make sure I stay at the Sheraton. This will be my first, but not my last trip to Afrika. Unfortunately, there aren't too many Ethiopian women in the Midwest. The ones in the city are Americanized and play too many games.

Just an addendum to a previous post. I have gotten a few PMs recently from guys who have heard that Ethiopian girls are wary of oral sex. I do not remember this being the case at all, and I was there for a long time and with alot of women including of course Ethiopians, but also from other Abyssinian countries such as Somalia and Djibouti. Anal sex however, was completely taboo, and I never even got close.

I have brought lots of girls to the Sheraton, and never had a problem. Like everywhere else in Africa, a little kindness toward the ladies goes a long way. Never discuss price beforehand, and pay her whatever you think is fair. Most of the time, I gave the ladies between $5 and $10 for "cab fare." Also, remember that the Sheraton is by far the ritziest place in town, and girls love to stay there. It gives them bragging rights. If you really want to make an impression take a girl you like to the Italian Restaurant (the French is too expensive) and treat her as if you enjoy being there with her. You will never thereafter have a problem regarding money with her.

There are plenty of women in the streets and in the coffee houses along Bole Road with whom you can chat during the day and make arrangements for the evening. If you strike out there, try Memos (pronounced Meemos) disco about 10:30 or 11:00. You don't even really have to go inside. Just hang around the coffee area outside the entrance and start chatting with the girls who sit around during one of the endless coffee ceremonies. If you strike out there, the Capital, which is only about 5 minutes away by taxi, is always jammed from 11:30 or so onward, and is a can't miss place.

In terms of women and culture, Addis is, in my opinion, the best city in Africa and the women are among the most beautiful in the world. I am in the Philippines, where finding beautiful, willing women is not exactly a major problem, but reading Mookie's posts really made me miss Addis.

Great information in here (and some mouth watering photos), but I do have one question as I am planning a visit to Addis Ababa later this year.

What sort of price should I be paying for a lady in the Sheraton? Or is it more a case of some taxi money the morning after?

you guys make nailing a women in addis sound like hard work! on my last trip there i just got a taxi to drive me round took my pick. yupee i was in i didn't want all night stuff i was only after an hour or two i paid between 50 and 100birr plenty of quick bang hotels for less than a 100birr. great nation with fantastic pedigree treat them with respect and you'll be ok and please, please protect yourselves gents aids/hiv is rife i recommend durex extra safes. safe by name safe by nature.

No - I stayed at the Global, which was ok!

Maybe next time I'll try the Concorde.

Does anyone have any reviews of the Concorde as a hotel ?

I payed 300Birr, which is about 100 over the going rate!

Here follows some notes from a recent trip to Addis !

Concorde still rules!

Don't get there before 11:30pm - unless it's your first time in Addis and then you can enjoy the local folklore music and dance.

It's worth seeing at least once - but the real action at the Dome club only starts at 11:30 - when the real floor show starts!

Then the lovely ladies start parading in to the tunes of the disco music.

Just watching what goes on is quite entertaining !

I met Hana - a petite lady - who had no problems in accepting a quick drink & then back to the hotel room.

I did take some pics of here - with the intention of posting here - but I was stupid when reviewing them to delete the disk - so sorry guys - I'll make up for it next time !
She was quite obliging - but as with most Ethiopian ladies - need to be coaxed into oral - but once there she performed ok!

Another night - just cruising the Sheraton - worth the visit to see this Vegas style hotel in the heart of Addis - I was hello'd by a beautiful lady - who was a 10 by any standards - but not having a room at the Sheraton and not enough time before a meeting - I had to decline!

I can't count the number of "hellos" I got walking around various places in Addis - just wish that I had more time to check 'em all out!

A place to check out is the sauna & massage at the Glocal hotel.

The massage for 60Birr ($7 !!) was excellent !

Given by a cute lady called Fabtush (I think) - she massaged every inch, and I mean every inch!

Just make sure that you go early - as she only works till 7pm!

As can be appreciated - I look forward to my next trip to Addis !

I have worked in 15 countries all over Africa, and Ethiopia is by far the best place in which I've worked there. The ladies are spectacular, available and fun, and the Abyssinian culture is the most interesting on the entire continent in my opinion. I had great luck driving on Saturday afternoons along Bole Road, going slowly, and offering the first lady who appealed to me a ride. I did not always score, but the hit rate was high, and the girls were a little more refined and educated than those I met in the clubs. Also met some reasonably normal women at Memo's several times. Often, I did not even have to go into the club, but sat around drinking coffee in the outdoor coffee area and met some chicks there.

I am now in SE Asia, and women are not difficult to find, but I often think of Ethiopia and wish that I were back there. Without doubt, the country has the most stunning women I have ever seen. As to the "sagging breasts" theory described by The E, it's unconfirmed by my experience in country. I have spent a lot of time in Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti, and found the women to be superb.
