First thanks Biffa for the very helpful advice.

After a very slow visa and passport service at the airport (1.5hrs) got to the hotel at 11pm.

Stayed at the Hilton, Addis. High end hotel and no working girls in the lobby / bar.

Took hotel driver and headed to Chechenya, plenty of street girls on the drive, checked out H2O night club (cost 50Birr) to get in but it was empty, checked out a few other bars and the street options but nothing really appealed. As Biffa said lower end but still some cute ones.

Driver suggested going to Concorde hotel that has a basement club, so we headed over. Quality was much better, some very cute girls but much more expensive $100-$150usd. I met a student who pays her way through school by coming every few weeks (good level of English). Took her back to Hilton. Security asked for her I'd but had no problems or need for extra payments. Service was good CBJ and FS.

Tough choices. You won't get out of the airport for a solid hour I'd guess. You'll be close to the Yoly Night club as well, don't know if its jumping on Sunday.

If you're unfamiliar with Addis Mongering and want a more controlled environment one of the big name hotels would do, there all pretty much girl friendly, although as mentioned on this thrread you may have to grease the wheels with the security guys in the Sheraton etc. There may be a couple of upmarket semi-proc's drifting around the big name hotels, but its not guaranteed and you've only a few short hours and you may find yourself spending time in taxi's.

I'm not sure what kind of service provider you're looking for, but there will be plenty on the street, in bars etc, whereever you feel comfortable. There's no out call services that I know of to hotels (not formal ones anyway.) and I personally wouldn't bother with massage places given your short time scale.

Another option may be the Dreamliner, (hard beds!) there are several bars nearby and there's a few street girls wandering around, but Meskel's a bit quieter overall.

I have recently returned from a trip to West Africa and enjoyed the Addis scene. I know some of you complain about the girls, but I have to say that I really enjoyed it.
