    Tractor Boy.

Hi Tractor Boy - Karibu Kenya.

Welcome to Kenya - Karibu Kenya.

1.. At Dusk and After Dark always use a taxi. They are safe. Never, never walk. Not even 20 metres.

    2. 5-12 pm. Simmers Bar for pussy.( Ask Taxi Driver )

    3. 11 pm til dawn. New Florida Disco. Best pussy selection in the world.

    4. You will not pick up much at Panafric unfortunately.

    5. If you need a cheap hotel for fucking ladies try Terminal Hotel in Town ( 15 euro) or Salama Annex Hotel/Annie Oakleys Bar.....3 mins by taxi from PanAfric

Take Care and have a great time.

    Hotel Advice

After many months of enjoying reading all your reports, comments & advice, I would welcome some for myself.

I will be in Nairobi early December for a weeks work & am booked in to the Sarova Panafric hotel. As I am on my own & concrned about going out after dark, will there be a choice of willing ladies in & around the hotel / pool / bar areas.

The hotel also seems offers a massage service - any comments whether this can include "extras".

Please help an a "newbie" to Africa.

    Midweek in Nairobi

Absolutely! better to spend weekends in Mombasa as this is when the nightlife is fully functional. And yes, the pace is very slow on the coast compared to Nairobi. This may take a few days getting used to depending on where you coming from.

Still remember my first time in Mombasa, being a Londoner, i found the first two days i was exceedingly restless, had the "want the fuck out of here" feeling. Was just great after a few days, had to de-stress. Of course then the nightlife is really fantastic with the outdoor clubs, the chicks, dance and booze, least i forget the fucking.

You will find Nairobi best from Sunday through Thursday. Don`t forget "rock night" at Carnivore restaurant, Wednesday evenings, starts 9pm - you must eat there of course. I stand to be corrected but i think ladies night on Thursday. Pm myself if you have anymore questions.

Thx Noddy but as this is my first time traveling to Africa I decided to travel to Mombasa first from what i've read it has more of a relaxed atmosphere.

    Wolfy81 re:visa

    Mate,

Visa is issued on arrival, US$50 - i presume you are travelling with British passport - as you transgress passport control. A process of no longer than 40 min or so, most times much less, depending where you are in the queue.

Engage top gear upon leaving the aircraft, if time really is an issue, never fear, approach an official, they will do the necessary.

You are not spending a few nights in Nairobi? i`m horrified and disappointed for you. A fun town it is, i rate Nairobi a better experience than Mombasa.

Perhaps you have rushed into your trip planning? How much thought have you put into it? This is not a criticism just an observation.

    Visa

I've just check my itenerey and may have disovered a problem with my flight times. Will I have to get a visa at Naiobi or is this also possible at Mombassa airport as well. 2 hours isn't a long time to get visa clear customs and catch my next flight.

I've been through Nairobi airport dozens of times & never once had my camera checked !
So wouldn't get paranoid about that !

But ... as a precaution that no-one else will browse my camera files -
like workmates, wife, kids etc .. I always transfer to another storage medium!

    Budget concerns

Mate, your budget is way over the top, i am also a thirsty monger. This should cover myself for three trips(10 days each) - flights, accommodation and food, not to mention the honey as well. Food is of a poor standard in Kenya, staying in a five star hotel will solve this issue though. Do not pay over the going rates for the chickies, take care, they will soon grasp that you have gold in abundance and go to work on you.

My comments are below each point

Location is very good ; have never been inside but looks a bit crummy from the outside .

    2. Have read many report's on prices such accommodation Ladies and beer but what are the general prices on spirits/wines and food also I have a budget of £3500 for 19 days and iam a heavy drinker do you think this will cover me.

For that kind of money ,not only can you get plastered every night but you can buy many rounds for a bevy of hangers-on as well ( trust me, there will be many , once they notice what's going on ).

Beer is around 1Stg everywhere for a 500ml bottle , most mixed drinks are around 1.50 (if you stay with locally distilled stuff - quite acceptable quality and the brands are the same as in the UK ) , wines in resto's are around 10-15 per bottle , and half that if you buy them in a supermarket. Food in general is cheaper ( and better qlty ) than in the UK .

    3. I just bought myself a sony 8.1 megapixel cybershot camera and wanted to post alot of photo's on this forum but read that pornography is illegal how dose other bm work around this problem.

Have never heard of anybody having had his camera or computer inspected by Customs or Police.

    4. How dose the smoking ban affect tourists are there smoking areas in bars restaurants beaches and airports.

People seem to smoke everywhere , in all bars and restos , in cars and out on the streets . The public smoking ban seems to have been totally forgotten already .....

Thx for taking the time to read my post and if any bm are traveling in April and want to meet up for some drinks and a laugh pm me.
    Have fun!

    Wolfy81:

    1. Sai Rock is very nice and very quiet. I was paying about US$80/night for a single. They will not hassle you about guests but you will have to pay extra at the desk. If you're planning to have a guest every night, get a double room. There's nothing going on at the hotel, but you can walk next door to Big Tree or Cheers for action and cheaper drinks.

    2. £3500 for 19 days should be okay. Beer is cheap but liquor at bars and clubs is expensive.

    3. If I'm not mistaken the sony cybershot has a bit of internal memory. Take a few photos around town and keep them on the internal memory for show. Put your 'personal' photos on a removable memory chip and remove the chip when you go through customs.

    4. I found the smoking ban is pretty casual in Mombasa. Just don't smoke in the street, it would give an excuse for the police to ask for a gratuity.

    I hope this helps. Enjoy!

    Mongering

So if I understand correctly from the posts here, they have gotten rid of the girls that made themselves available for the white men and have started a scare campaign against tourists that wants some kenyan booty.
