True, I have never carried my passport with me after immigration check in. Highly risky to carry it with you. Not only in Kenya but elsewhere in the world.

You are supposed to carry your passport at all time.

How else do they want to check if you are legally in the country.

Arrogance towards policemen can be very costly in Kenya.
I don't recommend to carry passport with you, it can be easily stolen or lost. Too valuable document to be carried with you, carry a copy and try to deal with police somehow if they start harassing you.

Customs already checked my passport." He looked disappointed, then he checked my shopping bags, gave me a look up and down and then left. I checked online and Kenya doesn't have a law that requires anyone to carry ID. And you only have to identify yourself if a crime has been committed, just like the US. Of course the cops are dirty and they could just rob me if they wanted, but I'm not going to volunteer to be robbed. Those guys are looking for easy targets so when I made it difficult, they just moved on to the next victim.

In actual fact the law I believe states you would have to go to the local Police station within 24 hrs and produce ID to clear this. It happens in Nbi now and again but I have only heard of it once in Msa.

    Airbnb in kilimani

If anybody is interested. I found this airbnb in kilimani, Nairobi that was perfect. It had a large king bed with springs. And it had an AC which is almost impossible to find in this town. Its cool at night and in the morning but during the day it gets hot especially if your fucking. Another cool feature was that there was LED lighting everywhere and I could change the colors to set the mood. Like I could make it all blue or all red for a sexy atmosphere. The owner was really cool and he asked me to promote his place so ill put it here for anybody interested. He has 2 units exactly the same.

    Nairobi trip

So I just got back after a month in nairobi. Its my third time and I never have a lonely night there. I rented a studio apartment in kilimani off airbnb. I liked kilimani. Its safe to walk around and everything is in walking distance. I mostly scored thru tinder and afrointroductions, collecting contacts the week before my trip. I also cold approached a few girls out on the street and the mall. I only went after non-pros or semis. Noone directly asked for pay, but some asked for help. I only paid for the uber ride to my place and 2-3 k for transport home. I tried a massage place called paradise spa two blocks from my airbnb. I walked in and paid the mama san 3 k for an hour massage. Then she took me to a room with a bed and a sofa. She told me to sit on the sofa and then one at a time, girls would come in and introduce themselves. At the end the mama san comes and asks who you choose. You have to remember the name of the girl you like. Luckily for me the last girl was the hottest and I was able to remember her name. She came in and got naked right away. I removed my clothes and got on the bed. She proceeded to give me a pretty weak massage with baby oil. After 10 min I got bored with it and said I want a blow job. She asked for another 3 k. I agreed and then she went to work. Deep throat, ball licking, sloppy and wet like I like it. She took the CIM like a champ. I asked her if she's available outside of work and she said only Tuesdays. I guess that's her only day off. I got her number but never called. I gave the extra 3 k to the mamasan when I was leaving. The girl asked for an additional tip, but I didn't give any. Mostly because I was confused about where the money was going at the end. I thought the 3 k at the end went straight to her but she said it doesn't. I don't believe that but maybe its not a bad idea to tip an extra 1 k. I wanted to go again for a double blow job but I was busy with other dates.

All in all, I had a blast. Probably one of my favorite destinations, up there with the phillipines. Affordable, girls are cool with bb, English is spoken everywhere, and they treat foreigners like VIPs. Of course they are after your money but they treat you well.

There is no parking near the FOREX. I tell the taxi to let me out then drive around the block and pick me up when he see's me standing at a predetermined spot out of site of the FOREX. I notice a police and another plain clothed man lingering outside the FOREX as I exit the taxi. I assume the police is guarding the FOREX. I finish but the taxi is waiting in the street in front of the FOREX, not near my designated spot. I exit the FOREX and jump into my taxi front seat. Immediately, the plain clothe man comes up to my window, identifies himself as a KRA agent and asks me if I own the car. I look at him and say nothing. The guy keeps talking then shouts. I look straight ahead; I refuse to listening to him. The taxi driver begins to talk to the guy for a few minutes. It turns to yelling and I tell the guy to go yell on the other side of the vehicle. The driver eventually exits the vehicle and the two go behind the vehicle. The taxi remains right there in the street The driver returns and we drive off. The driver claims he paid the KRA agent 2 k for illegally parking. The driver wants me to add the same amount to my fare. I tell him the KRA has no jurisdiction. He says the police was in on it and would've arrested him if he refused to pay. I get to my destination and give him the original agreed on price then tell him I plan on telling the hotel that I won't be using him anymore.
The driver may of paid him something but that bill has nothing to do with you, you rightly told him so. Everything is a scam and a con in Kenya, they just can't help themselves, the greediest money hungry worshipping people I've ever known. I am surprised the uniformed policeman did not try the lets see your passport on you.

I always carry a copy of my passport, with a nice shining cover with also a copy of the latest entry stamp.

However in all those years I was never asked to show it.

I also have a copy of my driving licence that I showed once at a roadblock, the cop asked me why I did not carry the original licence, but I told him I never carry that one to the. Beach and I got away with it.

However it seems I am lucky most of the time. Once a police stopped me with the car because I had crossed the line while overtaking. He gave me stern warning but then he told me, I let you go, because you are a Mzee.

Also during lockdown I had a few narrow escapes. But that was also because the lady who was with me did a lot of talking. They took her instead, but I had 1000 delivered to the police station and then they let her go. It helped also the cop who took her was of the same tribe.

They try it with the passport and law is on their side. I even have been asked for the yellow fever certificate in the Uhuru park of Nairobi.

That is good to know that 24 hour rule. I never carry passport by myself because I am losing so much stuff always, that is too valuable thing to get lost or stolen.

Once some years ago when Big Tree was still place for big events, group of police came there to "keep order". They saw me and started friendly talk and asked then if I am carrying passport. I did not have so they started to tell me what a crime it was and I am going to end up in jail and court. But I was a Big Tree hotel guest then, and even hotel manager happened to walk by just then. Disappointed policemen started to bother local people then, I did not understand what excuse they used with them since they spoke swahili.

In curfew time police managed to rob me couple of time because I did not have mask in my face, I had to pay. Talk about court, 20 or 40 kilo fine, three months in jail and deportation for ever. Second time I think it was not real police, just a guy in uniform, I realized it later.

But I also managed to escape them couple of times in the street by going to the bar and to toilet directly. And, in Greenwood I survived big raid because some friendly hotel guests hide me in their room, some musungus I know and many I did not know went to jail for 10 hours that night.
