In general good analysis. Kagame tries his best to keep the lid on the pressure cooker. But demographics work against him. No stunners. Not entirely true. You need to invest more time you'll find gems. More conservative I mentioned that already. But Uganda more easy game.

Read blog below for Hutu/Tutsi divide. Racially there is NO difference. They are ONE tribe and all speak Kinyarwanda. The belgian white fathers started that BS and the belgian government in printing it on ID cards. The Tutsi were the nobility and landowner class and owned the cattle whereas the hutu were the serfs. If a Tutsi or Watutsi lost his property he became hutu. So that divide was totally arbitrary BS which was used by politicians ever since.

Had the same impression when I was there 8 years ago. Attributed it to the trauma of the genocide. I think, the divide between the tribes of the Tutsis and the Hutus is still there. And for sure it is not helpful that the Tutsi president has instaured a very authoritarian regime and it is forbidden by law to mention the name of the tribes. The problem is that the Hutus are 90% of the population and only ca. 10% are Tutsi.

There is a perception underneath that this arrangement is not sustainable on the long run that the Tutsi are ruling. It would be the same it there would be a country named Great Britain and a Scotch regime would govern the entire country and it is forbidden to mention that there is an ethnic division between the Scotch and the English.

By the way many Tutsi ladies are real stunners but you do not see them on the streets and popular places as they frequent the universities dand upper class places. I took a splurge in Hotel 1000 collines and there were some as guests, also from the staff. Also the staff at the 3 star hotel near Remera minibus station.

The neighbourhood of Nyamirambo is more African and partially muslim. Not so desolate. But again, no stunners on the streets.

Yes it is clean, yes it is safe, it's marvelous lying on those 7 hills, BUT it's such a clinical city, I mean it does not breath the real Africa in my opinion, people moving like zombies, armed patrols everywhere, people are very friendly but with a high level of sadness on their faces.

In my opinion it's not a city that deserves the name city, a city has his positive s AND negative sides, this one tries to be perfect in every way, and that's just sad.

Well there is more run down and african parts of the city. Try Nyiamirambo. And go outside Kigali. The villages are deepest Africa. So don't worry. Its the view the government wants to impress on the world. But Kigali is probably the most european capital in central Africa. And mate. Don't forget why you are here. For pussy. And rwandan squirters are top notch. Try to find Burundian chicas even hotter. You need some french.

The country has been made further landlocked by the Rwanda Inc CEO (here the current president) who decided to stop his country people to move to Uganda since March 2019.
