You are both right. Two Gorilla hotels exist in Kigali: the older, smaller one very close to Mille Collines and the new one in Nyaraturama. Practically all hotels in Kigali are girlfriendly.

I have stayed ay the Umubano Hotel twice this year. Rooms are about $100 us. Nice rooms, reasonable bar. Its 5-6 blocks from KBC and there is a pub (can't remember the name) on the corner of the block. Has a good breakfast buffet, pool etc. Its girl friendly and puts condoms in the night table.
