Have prices increased for st and LT in dar es salaam, reading though the posts since 2016 most bm were paying around 40 k-50 k posts from 2018 everyone seems to be paying around $60-100 Mark.

Staying there for a month from the 7/5/2019, which is also Ramadan, does this have any effect on hooking up.

Yes when I was in TZ last I stayed at a "upscale" 50 buck a night hotel that didn't have internet and Only Citizen TV, and a local channel and CNN. I checked out the next day and stayed in a two bedroom house for 10 bucks with only three channels but at least they had decent wifi.

In Africa things are never what they seem what seems like a nice hotel isn't and going down a unpaved road could lead you to a literal villa. Same with girls.

Helpful information on the Doubletree, thanks. Yes, there are people whose objective is to go someplace and try to spend as little as money as possible. Can't understand the mentality, especially when it comes to Africa.

Doubletree was okay, the pool was nice, and right on the water with a scenic looking pier for some photos ops. Next door to the 'mall' - a mostly outdoor affair where you can bargain for souvenirs, and a grocery store in the basement to get affordable water / snacks.

Room service was only okay, and the croissants seemed to be made out of leather. But other than that. Great! I was just hysterically happy to have made it out of Qbar and back into the modern age of internet / comfort.

They also have plenty of taxis hanging out front if you want to hit some of the local bars. If I ever went back again (which I wouldn't) - I'd stay again.

I surely understand mongers who love to get the cheapest pussy they can, and a cheap hotel goes along with that. It seems pretty cool when you live in the west and can snag a shag for $5 or whatever. Nothing wrong with that at all. That used to be me!

But, having lived overseas for 15+ years it's not such a great thing to me anymore. I'll take value over price. A pretty girl that gives good service for 3 x the price and staying in a nice hotel room. Beats knocking a zombie in concrete cube any day.

I can understand the mentality. If you want truly upscale in Africa all you're going to do is [CodeWord140] yourself off. I almost stayed at the Hilton once but ended up getting an AirBnB because of a hassle with the front desk. The Hilton was probably more expensive than a Hilton in the states (The Hilton is my go-to business hotel stateside) while being a little less nice due to poor customer service.

Unless you're staying in a true 5 star Hotel anything under that will get you mad. It's the same with girls You can get an actual model (I did once) but If you want a true western acceptable "10 " it'll probably cost you as much as an Instagram model in the west or dubai. In fact there's a Slay Queen I met that I didn't fuck due to logistics that showed me DM's from american rappers.

In Africa there's a very tiny middle class and a tiny "mid range" option for international mongers. There's no village fathers sending their choice daughters to city brothels where you can get cut rate "western standard" beauty for the cheap because her pimp / mamasan is holding her hostage.
