There is places for 20 k. Many of these are noisy as these double as ST rooms. Depending on your comfort level. Mine is clean room no AC. Serviceable private bathroom. And preferably cold running water. And if possible relatively quiet. Just walk around Sheikilango and Mori road area. In almost every side street there are guest houses ranging from 20 k to 35 k. Take your pick.

Just returned from 18 day trip in Tz. Spent mostly in Dar but also few days in Zanzibar.

Most of my time was spent in Sinza. I stayed in king the hotel and spent a lot of time in Ambience / Corner Bar.

I payed like 25-30 k and had mostly good experience. I got to know many girls but there were not many white guys there. I saw one tall dude occasionally and short older guy once. The tall one seems to be pro as that place is kinda Shady.

I have mongered all over the world and kinda love the shady places so I felt right at home in Sinza. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it can be fun.

I also picked girls from Boardroom and also took trip to masaki where I visited the famous Q-Bar (waste of time) samaki Samaki and a club called Elementz. Honestly I did lot like those places one bit. I feel more at home in Capital pub in Kampala, Mtwapa in Mombasa, Santa Fe in Bogota and el centro in Medellín. Just as a reference point.

Very easy. QBar. You can trade them down to 35 $ for a big room. In the back its quiet. Just go down and take your pick in the bar. Lock up all your cash though. 2 mates of mine were ripped off. One for 200 euros the other one for 100 euros. Never pay more than 50 k TZS. Don't expect GFE like Kenya. Here its fuck and go. And some chicas in Samaki want 200 k. I say want. They'll never get it.
