As far as I know this city, or any city in east africa its not safe to walk alone at night better find a cab and escort you everywhere you go or etleast drop you somewhere and after you have done pick another cab in your way home.

Q-Bar about $70 or $80 a night if I remember correctly. As for Jim Jump, you really shouldn't pay more than Tsh 50, 000 a night with maybe Tsh 10, 000 thrown in for "transport". If a quickie in a back alley suits your needs or BJ in the same venue, ummm about Tsh 20,000. Enjoy

In you opinion is it better to stay (for 10 days) in town center or in peninsula (near Coco beach)? Is there more action at night in the center or in peninsula? Where are there more bars and music?

From 8pm you will find offerings sitting around the bar area. They will introduce themselves and are easy to detect. They want premium prices, others on this site may have more detailed updates on rates but they may start at 100usd if they really want to hurt your wallet. You may secure one for 100, 000 TSH. Gentlemen, any comments? You can find street offerings at the turning off Ohio Street after Serena. But if you don't have transport then don't bother. Another alternative is to find a street offering near Las Vegas Casino. I have not been impressed by these offerings. Drive down by taxi to Maisha or Qbar in Oysterbay to pick up a working girl any day of the week. Friday to Sunday seem to offer the best choice. Monday and Tuesday appears dead. Quality pick ups? 70, 000? I have recently been quoted anything fron 50, 000tsh to 100usd in Dar, far too much, so shop around and be ready to bargain hard.

    Happy hunting.
Thanks Jim jump. Will update the forum soon. Also hitting Ethiopia on Monday so watch out for that report in eth forum.

Will have a car in TZ so am easy on travel to look for pussy.
