Have been living in Arusha for quite some time now and altough I have seen the local ladies I'm still missing a proper massage parlor where one can go for a afternoon "release".

Anybody any tips/ suggestions?

I've read most of the Tanzania forum but all the info is about Zanzibar or dar.

I'll be going to Arusha for a safari and I would like a bit of info about the town and the girls situation.

Are there any working girls in arusha? Where can I find them? And what about girl friendly hotels? That are also not too expansive, like less than $40 a night?

There are always ladies at the New Arusha Hotel - either in the lounge area near reception or in the downstairs bar. The concierge can help you out as well.

If you are there on a Thursday night, go to Via Via for the live music. It's maybe a 5 minute walk from the New Arusha. Plenty of locals there - a good crowd of locals and expats, many locals wanting to meet and be rescued by a westerner.

The open roof top air bar at the Backpackers Hotel is a greaty place for a cold beer and soft sofa and possibly some locals.

Enjoy - I wish I were there.

my experience in arusha: i saw so many wonderful ladies on the street. i don't know why, but mostly with nice big ass. maybe because they are chagga (tribe). anyway, i would say, to find a guide there and he will show you nice places (working girls, .).

in the northern part of town there are several middle class hotels (new, tiled bath room, hot water, aircon etc) for $ 15. 20. in the same area there are also some cheapees for 7 to 10$. when i was there quite cold at night so hot water is an amenity. names of hotels i remember are impala and girafe. taxi driver can inform you. taxi within the town 3000 tzsh. when i was there i took one of these hotels, don't remember the name, but in that area there is the restaurant arusha pizzas, where you can eat very good big pizzas for less than 5 $. strolling in that area ca. 6 blocks there are some bigger bars but also buvettes. during the day there are single girls roaming from bar to bar. this girls are very beautiful, appearantly of arab descent. skin tone white/ivory, slim body. at night i was making a bar tour, not so interesting when i heard loud music. it was a huge bar like a disco, very local, very simple, a lot of men drinking and a few girls. one beautiful arab girl approached me and we had fun and after went to my hotel. cost 30000 tz. sh. ca. 25 $ at that time. the scene is very small but top girls. did'nt inquire prices, paid just that amount and she was happy. tanzanians are friendly people and normally there is not a hassle like mombasa. take only care at the bus stations, there are touts that try to sell tickets to you. buy at the ticket office of the bus company or from the driver. tanzanian beer is very cheap, 800 to 1000 tzsh = 70 to 80 us cents. it tastes almost like kenyan beer but for my taste i prefer kenyan beer that is a little stronger.

Hi Disaster,

Haven't been in Arusha for some time but until 6 months ago most of the red light activities took place in Kaloleni and Levolosi (2 of the most central districts of A.) Lot's of girls, the Kenian speaking better English (and having better teeth).

Around midnight we arrived to joly bar.

Only local men with a lot of girls - 3-5/10.

The girls are very pushy and jump on you once you are sitted.

My local friend took me for the second time to a uniqe indian venue.

There are least 2 places like that in daar.

Men are sitting around podiums with dancing girls (Indian).

Dressed with sexy dresses they are dancing. Not looking so happy at all.

You can get one out for 200$ after getting the OK from the manager.

Didn't see anyone doing it.

Some of the girls are 8/10 so some people can consider it if they are not looking for local girls.

Checked the bar on the 9th floor. It was reported here that you can find some up scale ladies.

Was almost empty on Tuesday night. Only local and some Chinese men.
