I was only in Stonetown for a few days, went out looking one night, I walked around until I heard somewhere lively and the only place was tatu. Has three small floors, first floor bar with pool table and balcony, one girl here, 2nd floor a closed restaurant, 3rd floor a club space, 4 girls here. This is a weekday, maybe at 10 pm. $50 dollar one month visa. Order a uber at the airport but couldn't find him so just got a taxi, they want 45 k to sinza but take 25 k.

I went Tengo told to come back with passport, came back with passport and they now said I need a national ID but went to airtel next door and they just needed the passport. 1 k for sim, 15 k for 5 g data for 1 month and 5 k for 135 min and 300 texts for 1 month.

Getting around can use bolt and uber which is much cheaper than the price of flagging one but you generally need to call them to make sure there coming and know where you are or they sometimes don't come. From Sinza to oyster bay, 5 k in tuk tuk on uber.

Ambiance in Sinza.

3 k entry and 3 k beer. Just locals around here. About midnight on a weekday it's not busy, there are 3 rooms, handfull of really poor girls in the big room with the bar that try attach to me, the next room is small with some local guys and a few more girls, most light coming from a hole in the wall with a fan so can't see much, one girl flashs her tits to me from a dark corner, and the entrance room just has three guys lying on couches watching tv. Quiet and cheaper. 20 $ would be already way over my budget. In exceptional circumstances like when I pass through Nairobi yes. But I spend 8 months on the road a year on average. If you have more budget that's a different matter. Another tip. Download maps.me . There's guest houses you'll not find on Google maps. So my main resources are maps. Me much better and offline maps. Google maps and Jumia which works well in most East african countries. Especially in out of way places like Isiolo. And lastly travel guides the best ones for Africa are the Bradt guides. Lonely planet for me crappy guides really. AirBNB might be good option as 2 BR to share with a wingman for a long term stay than it would be ok budget wise for me.

Very good advice how to find accommodations neddy. I just wonder how much you budget around per month in total including everything like girls, food, hotels, drinks and other stuff at africa. Around 8 month per year on road its a long time.
