Posts: 197Compared to Nairobi Tinder is better in Kampala. In Nairobi the majority looks for a serious relationship. The bad habit of demanding ubermoney in advance is there in both.
I got a hotel for 20 dollars (38 usd on booking.com) by talking to the manager and paying one week in advance.
Another quite good one where I have stayed in 2018 is for 80.000 Shillings. In the www it runs for 300.000.

Posts: 333HIV Tests available in Pharmacies?
Does anybody know if these quick HIV Tests are available in Kampala, like in Mombasa, where you can buy them at every Pharmacie??
And how about other things like antibiotics or sleeping pills? Are they available in pharmacies without prescription?
Will check out Uganda later this year.

Nevertheless thanks for your answer. But it doesn't quite match my question. (#2105)

Posts: 69Smoke / vape in Kampala
Hello, everyone.
I am planning my first trip to Uganda (Kampala) and I have a question. Yes, I read the old posts but I didn't find anything related to my question.
I smoked for 30 years but switched to e-cigarettes 7 years ago. That's probably why I'm still alive.
I read that e-cigarettes are banned in Uganda. But you can obviously buy them. There are shops, even with their own website (www.vapeking256.com) in Kampala. What's right now?
E-cigarettes are also banned in Thailand. There I vape in the hotel, in the car or when I'm alone. In a bar I then temporarily switch to tobacco. Is this procedure also recommended for Kampala?
Is it generally allowed to smoke (tobacco) in bars or clubs? I've read that Ugandans are a bit strict about this.
Maybe someone can help me with information. Thanks in advance.

Hello guys,
I have never been to Uganda yet but I'm considering to get there (or Ethiopia). I haven't seen many information about that here, so here's the question:
What's a chance to get good rimming in Uganda? If not much, than I would choose Tanzania instead, where 80% girls were doing it (and they do decent).
