My first report. Here’s an overview on the nightlife scene of the country where I am living since many years.

Thanks, Thunder, yours are what the best reports should be like, full of useful and specific info and with nice photos to boot. You just put Kampala on my to do list.
I just finished my first ever visit to Africa (Kenya) and will be posting my own comprehensive reports in about 2 weeks time.

The other day had a good massage with full sex at TLC Club. The cost was 20,000 for a 1.5 hour (good) massage plus I gave a tip of 40,000, which was probably too much given her expression. The masseuse was no beauty but had padding in all the right places. The place is not so discreet, however, so I would recommend making an appointment to see the girl elsewhere if you choose this option. At one point someone was repairing some pipes near windows that looked directly into the room.

Some other options for clubs include the Hideout (near Kabira Club) which also has inexpensive rooms and Basement (in the Hotel Equatoria).

Does anyone have any recent recs for cheap guest houses or lodges near downtown?

Serious punters should be aware that the new academic year at Kampala university is on. This means tons of new “freshers” in town hanging out, around and near the campus of Makerere. Funny but it seems to be a local tradition for wealthy high class Ugandans to send scouts to overview the new arrivals! Funny country uh? By the way these days it’s worth a visit to the main campus to see what’s going on. Freshers are always looking for a sponsor.

Last time I gave a brief review of clubs and discos. There are some other worth mention like Rhino at Sheraton, Steak Out, Fusion 9 and Faze 2. These clubs are mainly attended by students and ladies of the “rich Kampala”. Not many pros, apart Rhino, but it could be interesting on weekends to find trendy chicks dancing and having fun.

Also it’s good to pay a visit at The Venue at Garden City and Garden City itself in the late afternoon evening hours. Sometimes I spotted some of the less known ladies active in the business in the usual night clubs and discos.

Now some reviews. Last time gems, this time girls to avoid.

My first report. Here’s an overview on the nightlife scene of the country where I am living since many years.

Kampala.

Rock Garden aka Rock Bar: situated near Speke Hotel in city centre. Quite busy on weekends. Mainly pros. Among the best selection of girls. Lately too high men / women ratio compared to some years ago and expensive drinks. Try the dance floor too for an alternate selection of girls that seldom reach the bar area. Selection of girls from all over East Africa

Capital Pub: Historical club/pub of Kampala. Crazy nights. It comes lively after midnight and it goes up to 4am on weekends. Less classy than Rock but you can find many semi-pro and freebies too. Try your luck. Watch out on the dance floor. Usually packed with people dancing and many pickpockets too. Stay warned. Girls from Uganda mainly but lately many from Rwanda and Congo.

Al’s Bar: The last destination for many girls who didn’t find any catch before and home of many resident students that live nearby. Almost empty before 2 - 3 am. The only place in Kampala for rock music and oldies.

Bubbles (former Irish Pub): Mixed crowd. Many expats and residents mainly whites. Middle class girls and pros hang out here. Very small dance floor.

Silk Club & Angenoir : Trendy discos with middle-high class girls looking for a new rich boyfriend. Some pros. Expensive. In my opinion a little boring.

Club Rouge: Situated near the railway station. A good choice if you don’t feel too much comfortable in Rock but want to avoid the big discos. Good selection of girls.

Anywhere in town: yes anywhere in town in daytime. Uganda has among the most beautiful girls of any size-any type! Just approach any girl you might be interested and start talking. Ask phone number and a date. 99% to score the first night guaranteed. Drawback: most of time you will end with a new girlfriend who wants to be your girlfriend with the usual headaches girlfriends give. In my opinion more expensive than pros at the end of the day. Interesting experience if you live here or if you’re looking for a GFE for a while. Could be an option if you are into FFF strategy: "Find them, Fuck them, Forget them" but in the long run it will spoil the good reputations of expats living here.

Jinja

Jinja is a nice town situated on the source of the river Nile roughly 80 Km east of Kampala. Few places to have fun at night but very interesting day scene with many beautiful girls in shops, streets, markets and so on. Read above for the drawbacks! They say in Jinja there are too many girls. I think it’s true!

Amigos: Nice disco with many local girls. Few pros.
Sobreros: now closed. Should reopen soon.
Babez: small club near the former Sombreros. Few girls but you can find some gems.

Hey guys what's it all gone quiet for on the Ugandan front?

I just spent a few weeks there on business and found it as thriving as ever.
Some of the old haunts have gone quiet though. Al's bar for one was as dead as a dodo. Some girls around but they just sat there glaring into space. The Rock Gardens is still one of the best places for pick ups, mostly pros though. They are still adament they're not but you try to get them without a 'gift' being mentioned! Many of them are Rwandans, very slim and light brown.

Two of the girls I enjoyed though and can be found there on various days of the week. Angela is a tall and very dark lady from northern Uganda, wow what legs and is game for anything. Another was Christine, a light brown lady who has a beautiful arse if you like them with a bit of body on on. If you like squirters she is amazing. For those interested in daytime action, and relaxing a bit after the stress of Kampala's bumpy roads and frustrating customer service, there are a ton of massage parlors in Kampala. Most of them offer "extras, " although some offer a lot more extras than others. Here are a few of the higher-end ones; the lower-end ones are more likely to offer more extras, but at most massage parlors, the masseuses are not too attractive, so you may get what you pay for.

Kabira Club, Bukoto: The Kabira Club offers massages at 20, 000, or 15, 000 for members, with extras available. The masseuses are not the best-looking, but give good massages and are usually eager to offer a HJ for no more than 10, 000 Ushs. More extras may be available, but you may have to arrange an alternative meeting place.

Sheraton Hotel: The Sheraton offers some of the most expensive massages at 30, 000 a pop. The masseuses are much cuter than at other places, and at least some are willing to offer extras, but you will pay for those extras.

Africana Hotel: This is the worst value. The facilities are lousy and a massage costs 20, 000. Extras may be available but I wasn't in the mood when I was there.

Grand Imperial Hotel: This hotel also charges 20, 000 and the masseuses are willing to offer some extras. Facilities are so-so, and the masseuses are no beauties.

KK Health Club, Ntinda: This decidely more down-market option caters primarily to local politicians, including at one time the vice president. It is much cheaper, at 10, 000 per massage, and is a much better bet to get a wider range of extras than the above places. That said, there is very little privacy in the massage rooms, and the facilities are not too hot.

There are a lot of others, especially at the low end, so wherever you are in the city, you won't lack for choice.
