I paid 30 k + 10 k for the transport for a short time, 50 k + 10 k for the transport (shillings), for a long time, usually the entire night. Which means I was usually fuckin twice in the night, and one in the morning: 3 shots. I paid once 80 k and I regretted, because that was the worst fuck of the entire pool. In one occasion I paid what I wanted, the girl told me to give her what I wanted. In another, one girl came for free, she didn't want money. I told her I wanted to help somehow, and she told me ok, so I gave her 30 k. Both these girls didn't even check how much I gave them. I could have fucked another one for "free", but she didn't want to sleep with me straight away and the day after she got her period. Didn't have a chance. Anyway, there is a girl for every pocket. A girl I met in a restaurant asked me for 500 k per hour. Yeah, you read it right. And she wasn't willing to negotiate. There are people paying so much. Locals. A girl told me her friend got offered 1. 4 millions for a night, 400 for the transport, paid in advance. Another girl told me a friend (a local) of her paid 100 k in advance for the transport to spend the night with a girl, and the girl didn't show up. Some girls are getting spoiled by rich locals and white residents / tourists. As I said a dinner at cafe javas costs 51000 shillings. That's a lot of money. But the place is always packed. All the restaurants of the chain are packed. So the girls who go there will never accept 60 k for the night, they will ask way more. The muslim girl was from a decent family. I fucked a girl who works in a bakery. She lives with 2 cousins in a single room, they all sleep on the same bed. She makes 300 k per month. She needs to be at work at 6:30 in the morning, and she finished at 9 PM. I was there twice, we close the shop together. She works 6 days a week. They don't pay her transport or the meals. Another girl is living alone in Kampala, her father pays the university and the rent for her, but he has 8 other children. They all sleep in the same room (the dining room), except the father, who has his own. There are period they can have only one meal a day, because they do not have enough money. The father makes one million a month, which is a good salary there, but he needs to provide for 9 children.

I met in a restaurant a man who gave me a ride to my place. We spoke for a while, he works for the government, he drives a big Mercedes, he probably does 4/5 thousand dollars a month.

Anyway, I think you should all follow the advise of the veterans. If you go there, don't pay more than what has been suggested, because it is not worth it. There are no slay queens, there are just girls who have better clothes and are spoiled, because they have a good circle of clients. Avoid those girls, they are professionals. There is so much offer, you can find beautiful girls for a few dollars.

Prices are crazy. A 250 ML shower gel costs 25 k /30 k, so you can imagine how hard is for some people there. Pay what is right, not what they ask.

The airport scam

They do require a Covid test to get out of the country (if you are not vaccinated). It doesn't make any sense, it's basically a scam. I didn't know that. It costs 60 USD at the airport, but you need to be there at least a couple of hours before. Do the test in a lab in Kampala if you are not vaccinated. It doesn't matter your destination, it's required to get out of the country. I managed to get out the country without the test, and I didn't pay the 60 dollars, but it was an adventure. I always find my ways. You also need a PCR test to enter in the country, but any fake test will do. Don't throw your money away, you can fuck a lot of girls with the price of a PCR test.

I can't answer the first question. I rented an apartment on Booking.com. But there are plenty hotels for all the pockets.

For exchange USD, I suggest you, if you are still in time, to get a Wise (previously known as TransferWise) card. It works in Uganda, I checked on the website. You basically do a wire transfer to the bank account associated to your card, and you convert USD in UGX. Then you withdraw UGX from the ATM. I didn't check Revolut, since I don't have it, but it might be an alternative. You will need cash in Kampala and I don't think it's a good idea to bring cash with you. I never do when I travel.

The best mode of transportation is Uber. Remember you have to pay cash, I read they cancel the ride if you see you have card as a payment method. During the day (not at night) you can take a boda, basically you'll be a passenger on a motorcycle. I have been told there are a lot of accident, so at your risk. Some people prefer Uber. There is a lot of traffic in Kampala, roads are dirty, and motorbikes are old.

I was recently told bluntly by a foreigner who has lived in Kenya since 2010 that he's learned to "deal with Africans as if they are liars and beggars. " It sounds like angry advice but it isn't. Anyone who actually visits or lives in Africa has learned this too.

Its OK to doubt if woman in the video was ever a teacher. There is no established cost of anything including salaries so don't equate cost of living with what an African says.

If you want eggs, ask a local the costs then go with someone the first time to buy eggs. Tell the vendor you will be back the next day. Pay the same price. The vendor will be happy to have a Mazunga at their stand. When it comes to transportation, tell them what you will pay to go someplace before going. Housing varies greatly. There are no general rules.

I was very lucky. She wasn't very demanding. One word of advice. You know how hard it is once you have a live in girlfriend to get rid of her.

I paid for her food and drink. Plus occasionally I gifted her 50 k UGX to send to her family. Most girls have at least one kid to take care of. Another non negotiable item is the hair and transport expenses. Treat her to chicken meals. They usually can't afford that.
