It's safe to walk at night. Rock Garden was dead on most nights when I was at Speke. I'd never tell a taxi driver to get me a hot girl for his idea of a hot girl would be different from mine. I started taking Travada this year. It's not a just buy some pills and forget thing. You have to go in for testing every 3 months after first tests. Both HIV and Kidney function. I'm not sure the average 2 week holiday monger is up for that much effort. As for side effects, I got mild diarrhea for the first couple days. Not even 100% sure it was related. I don't look at it as a replacement for rubbers in Africa, just an added layer of protection.
