Uganda was put on lockdown status beginning tonight at 10:30 pm for next 14 days so no more dating next 2 weeks. My hotel and resto will stay open for 3 meals a day and plenty of drinks. Milienium and Shoprite should be open too. But no private cars, Ubers, etc. And president is demanding people stay home except for walking to buy food.

I prefer Africa anytime. The only drawback as a white man now is. You're the spreader of a bad virus (as least as bad as the flu LOL). Don't cough in public or you might be lynched and killed on the spot. Never mind that 1000's die of malaria starvation traffic accidents cholera every year. Never mind the Chinese are to blame. Besides that its as boring as in Europe now. All joints closed. And many might close forever. I hope Casuarina and Capital will survive. My informers tell me Cheers already closed for good.

Just curious, are supermarkets like the one at Acacia Mall still well-stocked? I suppose they have to keep them well-stocked as long as UNO staff are in town.

It was 2 days ago but I will check again later today. There is also an Indian run grocer nearby and maybe another one I didn't check plus a petrol station. I will survey again later today. Perhaps the area around Acacia Mall is the eye of the hurricane.

Ugandans seem very polite and in the places I've been, provide stellar customer service. This is a nice change from Philippines. It's also a lot quieter here. If things get really bad, I'm sure you are on your own as far as medical help is concerned so I better stay healthy.

Museveni is supposed to address the country again tonight to announce additional measures to curb virus spread. I'm sure there are not many ventilators here but at least the virus seems to thrive more in developed countries with colder climates than the third world.

In Kenya there is curfew after 7 pm. Only a question of time until Uganda follows suit. There is videos police beating up people with canes to get them off the street. Its a catastrophe. Millions are deprived of their livinghood which is small time traders. I just left Uganda on the 6th March. As far as I know Kampala is now also under lockdown. No travel. In Tamatave Pousse pousse drivers out of a job. millions will starve because of government stupidity.

I saw those clips on the news here of police forcing home vendors around downtown I think. Up to now, I've met 6 girls. One of them was a Malagasy woman from the flight who has been working here for 10 years. She told me her boss told her she doesn't have to work for next 14 days at least and that was a week ago. Another girl I met closed down her salon. The one girl I approached in Accacia Mall when she was with her friend seems to have lost interest in meeting. The rest still seem keen on meeting again. So far, nobody I've met is acting desperate by asking for help, etc. In contrast, I've gotten several desperate pleas on FB from people I know back in Philippines. Those people are on real lockdown in that many cannot even leave their houses or at least cross Barangay borders. Many here are still not wearing masks. We are so far allowed to go out at night with Uber but the clubs have been shut down since I arrived.

There is a post from 2 days ago on USA Embassy Kampala talking about possibility of special flight out for Americans to return to USA if enough express interest. But USA doesn't seem like such a safe place now so I'm not sure that's a wise option for someone like me who doesn't even have USA health insurance. Taiwan would probably be a lot better but I don't think I can get there now.

LOL all over the world drivers are out of job. In fact, 1/4 of the world population currently are not working. So what better die from economy crisis and unemployment.

Or spreading Corona to every man on earth. Full Lock down and social distancing are a must.

Because whites are not class conscious people as oppose to East Asians, Africans. Whites don't think in terms of "poor looking" or someone having a higher class status just because has a shade lighter skin or being pair curvy or looks more smart or innocent. They will ignore it as a status symbol. It's largely meaningless to them. Based on your comment you are probably East Asians and I can understand why you think that way. Whites however just don't think in terms like you do. Simply it's not there. I myself was criticized for having poor taste for dating brown ethnic looking Filipinas when I was in the Philippines. Yes other light skin Filipinas were my harshest critics. To them we "high class" whites" not suppose to date down right? I was embarrassing myself in their eyes. I was shocked the first time but that's when I learned that beauty standards and class consciousness are interlined in those countries. Whites go for what they like and will not give a shit about what locals think. Actually they may like the fact that they are not competing with the locals for the same women. Yes give me those undervalued brown slim girls!

You must take into account however, that 90% of the fair skinned East African women are bleached with chemical products. Mostly lighter natural skin colors by Muslims because of the Arab ancestry but still on the darker side. Of course also some mulattos (in East Africa named half casts), product of relations of Europeans with Africans. Many Luo stunners who have deep black skin color are bleached.

I've always most preferred tall thick curvy pear shaped women with lighter skin with a classy (as in smart looking like a uni student) and innocent looking. These girls get a lot of attention from local guys and always have.

So many of the girls I see with tourists are skinny, dark, and poor looking. Everyone has their own taste and I would be thrilled if I could get my type for the prices you quote. But if it came down to paying US $5 for all night with the type of girl I usually see tourists or white expats with VS. $75 for all night with a bona-fide tall thick light skinned 18-23 year old African stunner with no kids and low milage assuming decent attitude, it's not even a choice for me. I would rather go for quality every time. In fact, I wouldn't want the $5 girl even for free but that's just me.
