I agree with guys who is saying not much left of kabalagala and its not same as was before 3-5 years ago its nothing left except capital pub. On Friday morning checked in in acacia hotel (stayed here before 5 years ago so knew the place) the rooms prices is 60 k for smaller room and 70 k for bigger room its basic hotel but has everything you need, hor water, wifi, fan, restaurant not so much noise at night as its far from main road.

Daytime kabalagala is boring place and not mutch to do. Night time becomes a bit more action but is even near close how it was before covid time. On Friday night between 10 pm -12 am on the streets near capital pub and around is max 10 freelancers most of them was standing near atlantic supermarket in small alley as it has some guesthouse near but the quality is very low I even not take them for free. Capital pub was almost empty 23.00 pm so I comeback at midnight entrance fee was 3 k this time was much more busy probably at least 30-40 girls but just few was looking not bad you can give them 7 points from 10 ranking max I spoke with one I liked we agree the price for 60 k all night she has cute face and nice body and she told me she don't have any kids, but when I push down her blouse I saw saggy tits so I skipped her. Took the bus from Kigali to Masaka and spent 2 days and 3 nights there, breaking up the long trip to Kampala. Contrary to some reports, I found Kigali, and Rwanda generally, a horrible place to meet girls. Have been to Kampala and stayed for 6 weeks.

Here is the report:

About me: 40 Caucasian, a bit overweight.

Customs: Have yellow fever vaccination done and e-visa. Then no issues.

Language: Everyone I met spoke English, but most with a funny accent that is sometimes hard to understand.

Internet: Is still an issue. It works, but video calls break up a lot even with fiber connection.

About 10% of the girls are HIV positive. What I did was brought them to Nakasero Hospital for testing.

It's a very professional clinic with modern blood working station and very professional staff.

Its pretty common here to bring your girl for testing, so no worries no one will raise an eyebrow.

Full testing for STDs is about 25 EUR.

Accommodation: Lived next to acacia mall in a small local hotel where I got the "suite", big room no TV but a great bed.

25 EUR / Night. International Hotels are very expensive and have spoiled girls all around them.

Girls: I only did tinder and never professionals.

Its pretty easy, pretty much every girl was a match.

Chat, clearly state what you want and invite them to a cheap local restaurant or bar. (no not cafe Javas or Acacia mall).

Have a drink and then decide if you take here to testing. Never had any issues with this process.

Usually I did a girl for multiple days. Believe that's better than ONS anyway.

Got everything I wanted, really everything.

All of them wanted to go without protection, but I never allowed this to happen.

Always paid their taxi with safeboda App (0,5-2 EUR).

As a foreigner I suggest being dominant and clear about what you want, in a polite way.

Fraudsters: Had fraudsters every day. But no real issue, just be aware, take it with fun and be polite.

Travel: Always used Uber for myself (1-6 EUR), don't walk or use bodaboda its simply to dangerous, traffic wise.

In Uber, when you use your phone, keep the windows closed. Snatchers are around everywhere.

And be careful at night, you never know.

Had a great 420 dealer next door, so this was fun too.

You can find them everywhere just ask around.

Summary: Kampala is a great place for white guys who want to have a fun time.

I have been to countless countries where there is malaria and never took any medicine. Malarone has a lot of side effects destroys your stomach and doesn't prevent you to get malaria anyway. As title says, planning 3 week stay in Uganda, first time in Africa. As I understand Kabalagala is the main hunting grounds.

Good luck. I was there last month. Kabalagala is the most boring place I've ever been. And I've been around a lot. Kabalagala may have been good in the past. But now it's dead (except for the Capital Pub). Better go to Kololo. And if it's your first time in Africa, you better go to Kenya.

Taking bodas is cheap but a test of courage. Me took the risk frequently going from center to Kabalagala, Acacia and Arena. Once I was simply lucky. My knee hurt 2 days. One can lose his leg in episodes like this. It is not so much about speed which you can tell the driver to reduce. But the streets are packed with bodas that they crash into one another.
