I was having my dinner in Paradise, the outdoor resturant at Sheraton. It was Saturday evening, I was listening to the live band and planning the night. My table was just at the exit of the Rhino Pub, and suddenly three smashing beauties exited the pub, the first one with legs to the sky and killer frame. I threw a smile at her as they passed my table and sat down in a remote corner. I tried to give them a glance now and then, but suddenly they were gone.

But lo and behold: they had relocated to a table between me and the stage, unfortunately with one of them with her back at me, obscuring the view of the tall girl. I just shifted to the other side of my table, caught the eye of the tall girl, smiled and was instantly rewarded with a radiating smile back. We exchanged smiles for a while and I was wondering how to proceed when all three of them the suddenly rose from the table. I am an Indian and indeed visiting Kampala on bussiness purpose for 1 week. I wanted to stay in either Sherton or Imperial. I came to know thruogh this thread that lots of things happening in Kampala and as I am a guy for fun and pleasure, I need the contacts of girls how can really experience the fun and pleasure

Stay at the Grand Imperial and simply walk down to Rock Garden (distance of about 150m) and take your pick. You could even bring her back to the Hotel. Just be nice to the reception guy and tip him Sh. 10-15k, he will not put an extra charge!

Apply the 80/20 rule here. 80% of the men in Kabalagala's pubs don't work in "offices" or have "colleagues". Most are marginally employed (lucky to even earn 5k per day) and can be typically seen nursing one soft drink or beer for the entire evening. 80% of the prostitutes in Kabalagala come from the surrounding slums and are either unemployed or underemployed. They will and do take 5 to 10k or the equivalent in food and booze from these locals.

Ex-pats like you (presumably) , tourists, business travelers and upper scale Ugandans make up the other 20% of the male clientele in Kabalagala. 20% of the "best chicks" as you put it, are really just the ones coming from striking out at Rock Gardens, Bubbles, Iguana and some of the other places well outside of Kabalagala before going home. Most will adjust their prices downwards given the venue and time, but others seeing you and your well-to-do colleagues will still think that they can "get over on you" with this 50-80k crap. Many of the hookers that quote 100k at rock gardens at 12-1pm, will go with you for 20k at 4-5am at Capital pub, De-posh and at Al's in Kansanga.

Perhaps its changed ownership since it opened? I toured the place before it was finished, and they had a nice size kitchen built up and the intent was definitely to serve food 24/7. I haven't been in there for like 5-6 months, but when I was there they had (what looked like from a distance) a formal dining section. Maybe this is now the "rear area" that Ugandakid is referring to below?

Well, talk about price reductions, on Thursday last week I met a Rock Garden girl that I had not seen (I mean at all) for about 1. 5 years. After some negotiations, I managed to get her to drive over to my place and give me a short-time for free "to remember the old days". Unfortunately this doesn't happen very often.

As for food at Posh, I arranged to meet a girl there for supper at 8pm about 2 months ago. The waiter informed us that they had no food whatsoever, not even chicken and chips. That was at the "innermost upstairs" section.

When I was there in March, it was possible to order snacks at De Posh, having eaten spicy chicken there with my girlfriend. I wasn't aware that they were branding it as a bar and restaurant. Are we talking about the same place? If so, would agree the 'restaurant' tag may be a bit of an exaggeration.

Actually, the typical Kabalagala hooker migration is more like: De-Posh, Capital, De-Posh. Personally, I don't care for De-Posh as it's relatively small, not laid out well and the music is far too loud. Not to mention a major design flaw in the bar area resulting in an ultra low ceiling giving an almost claustrophobic effect. I suppose this is what happens when a former Kabalagala prostitute and British "John" collaborate on a pub concept. Well her concept, his money. That said, I give them credit for at least trying to do something a little different from the norm in kabalagala. It's really unfortunate that they just missed on a few of the finer details.

While Capital Pub is far from pristine and is certainly no architectural marvel, its size, layout and almost 100% hooker clientele are far more conducive for hunting and being hunted. Not to mention music played at acceptable volume levels so you can carry on the perfunctory pre-nut chit chat.

If you're a mzungu (or foreigner) stick to De-Posh or Capital. Don't bother with any of the other pubs in kabalagala.

Reference De (Le) Posh, there is a new members area at the rear. I don't know much of the detials, but it is an attempt to seperate the Muzungu's from the locals and to attract a 'higher' class of ladies. No doubt a massive 'higher' price for their services too!

As you say, the price varies a lot. I would say it's usually between 30, 000 and 200, 000.

At Capitol Pub you may be able to bargain it down to 30k, but probably more like 50-80. According to the newspaper today, you can get it for 10k per hour in the slums of Bwaise, however I can't imagine you wanting to try that out. If you put in a bit of effort, or you know someone who will connect you, there are lots of students willing to come home to you for 70k-100k all night, including the really hot ones. In Rock Garden you may pay around 50-100, though 100 is more common than 50. The chicks from Burundi and Rwanda may ask for 80-200 and there are also a few Ugandans who won't be keen to go for less than 150. At Serena Hotel you may pay double the price for the exact same girls. Cayenne is now flooded with hookers on Friday and Saturday, I'd say around 100-150k for the hottest ones. For 200k you are either poor at negotiating, or you should get a contestant in Miss Uganda competitions.

Hence, I'd say around 100k is average.

Other bars to look for a mix of pro / semi-pro / regular chicks include Latino's (particularly Friday+Saturday) , Bubbles (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday). Here you'll find anything from office girls hanging out with a group of colleagues with no interest in talking to strange men, to full-on pros. These two places are popular with foreign guys working in Kampala, and a lot of the girls there are with their boyfriends. You won't make new friends if you're hitting on girls in front of their boyfriends.
