Guys,

I have the same dilemma as you I don't have the money but the overall feeling downtown is bad.

The rats at night have the size of a cat, its dark polluted and extremely bustling. Also we will look very low class.

When we invite a lady to this area at night.

The best bet is to use afro dating or any other website, then the physical location has no meaning. You can get very nice studio room and girls will come all the way.

Upper class hotel will suck your money out of you blood cells. So we need to get away from the center.

Lonely planet hotel, (the one near nandos) , is girl friendly. No reception at the new rooms at the street level. (down the staircase)

[I have stayed downtown several times and never had any problems. Just be a bit streetwise and you will be fine. The only disadvantage is the noise, the crowds and the pollution. But I find people there much more genuine than in the more uptown areas. Just my humble opinion.

Ok, in the Night I believe you have to take care, but on the day also? I thought if you stay in city center and don't go to suburbs or in (dangerous) neighberhood, than it's a bit more save.

Yes, I read some sites e. G. Lonelyplanet, Tripadvisor, but they don't write if this or that Hotel is really Girlfriendly.

Such Information you will not find on this serious Sites.

Sure!

Many cheap hotels below kampala Road. Its called downtown or just town.

You will feel there very safe and secure assuming you are en ex-British SAS operative, US delta force or just a normal citizen from Mogadishu somalia.

If you are not one of the group above just stay away from this area and use the lonely planet recommended hotel mention previously by myself.

I'm a newbie to Uganda but I want to visit Kampala (and a bit more).

Read this Thread now from year2009 till today, I think earlier reading to get more information about Hotels is useless, because maybe they changed it meanwhile. In other information it's still ok.

It seems the prices for Hotels are "high" above 100$, I can't believe that there is no Hotel below 100$ (50$-80$) and not far from the "center" (city center (near Speke) , Kabalagala).

Read some tips, but nore sure if they up to date.

The Hotel must be Girlfriendly, should be with AC, in RoomSafe and the rooms a bit nice.

Has someone a tip for me?

Not really my type, but met this one at an Internet cafe. A Tanzanian who came all the way to Kampala for a job only to be unceremoniously sacked (along with everybody else) when Indians bought her company (I'll refrain from saying something racist here, but it's fucking hard).

Anyway, she claimed to have had a BF in the UK who was supposedly supporting her and was going to bring her to his country, marry her and blah, blah, blah.

Bottom line, this girl was wild, passionate and loved to suck and fuck. GFE, DFK, BBBJTCWS (rare to find here) , the whole fucking shooting match.

BTW, she never asked for a single shilling. I guess he had that covered.

I'm in contact with some of the girls, most of them are students or so. I can imagine that the EA-Babes-Staff goes directly to the girls to persuade them to become member instead of waiting for some frustrated chicks who want to find a muzungu over the internet.

I think that your numbers are dated. Eababes has something like 140 girls and I see more added everyday.

I agree that the photos do not look like girls. Most are done in studios and are very (badly) touched up.

JP: Afro vs eababes Either way, I'm only interested in "content" vs "style and ease of use" at this point, so Afro is out for me. I want real and verified profiles / pics and am not interested in endless hours of chat entertainment leading nowhere. You prefer Afro, fine but I've moved on. Enough said on this topic, I hope?
