Point being that you went to Nairobi once and that your success rate on Afro for that one single trip was more than likely an anomaly. Over some reasonable time line, I would expect your success rate to be well under 50.

I've been reading through the forum but was hoping to get some up-to-date advice. I'm making my first visit to Kampala next week and was looking for a good place to stay that's below the $100 / night mark. If I have to I guess I'll go above that but I was hoping someone might have some recommendations.

I've already been meeting some girls on AfroIntroductions to meet some non-pros but I will also be hitting up the bars and clubs based on all the advice on here to do some mongering. Girl-friendly places would be best.

There are many out of town motels that are cheap and clean! Like pals suites on ebb road, Durban motels, garden hotel, etc and all these you will need less than a dollar to the city center! Any way when you are in the country you can ctct me for some other recommendations. Enjoy yuor stay.

Agreed, unless sex marathon is required with medium to low class girls.

Other strategies such as meeting ladies on the street serve me well all over africa. In Uganda however, it difficult and required special skills and luck. I have manage to pull from the street (while walking in opposite direction) , a super nice lady which we are a good friends now. (hoping for more).

Some other places including the places that universities girls used to hang. (clubs and cafes inside the campus).

Try to keep in contact with many student ladies as possible, they are very good source of information and you can go out with them and get to know new ladies.

Ebabes is a very new website only exist for a few month. I got one month free subscription and I have found out that the logical structure and navigation of this website is not good as Afro. Hope they will improve the site.

Personally, I would not trust a lady from any website for serious.

Outside of the city hotels may be good but I like to stay in the center. Next time I am going to stay at New City Annex Hotel, Dewinton Street, Kampala. It is in the "lonely planet" so its means that's very popular. I saw the new room at ground floors (down from the street) , looks minimal but new and clean. Its just near Nandos.

Sure, if I had the money I would stay at one of the better hotels in town.

I will be next month again in kampala to visit my new girlfriend and to check if I can take her back to my country.

I want to be serious and to avoid other ladies while there. Unfortunately I am addicted to black babes so I will probably.

Yes, this is possible but if one comes for a week or two I wouldn't count on this approach. I don't care if you're Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt, as for the most part, you're still invisible to the majority of Ugandan females. Plus, unless they're hookers, they will not approach you.

Afro vs eababes.

This is like comparing apples to oranges. Afro (Cupid Media) is an Aussie based marriage / dating site with an addictive chat system which hooks many lonely girls who are only interested in killing time. Most, if not all of the successful hits I got from that site were from girls who were just on there for a brief time. Eababes is more of a connections site with facebook like features. Friends, photo albums, etc. Yes, Afro is easier to navigate, but if you're computer literate, eababes should not pose much of a problem for you. Either way, I'm only interested in "content" vs "style and ease of use" at this point, so Afro is out for me. I want real and verified profiles / pics and am not interested in endless hours of chat entertainment leading nowhere. You prefer Afro, fine but I've moved on. Enough said on this topic, I hope?

New City Annex Hotel.

Yes, I know the place but have never stayed there. Nor would I. Decent location but at night the area and clientele might be suspect. Room rates are from 15k shs to 150k shs (bed only) and you will be competing with the locals for the cheaper rooms. At these low end prices, I can very easily see this as a "short time" hotel. Anything less than 70k shs, and you will be in a tiny room with no TV and a shared bath. In my opinion, better options are avail in the city center, but to each their own. As for "lonely planet" recommendations, I find those very suspect as well as they contract (hire) locals to provide them with this information.

Your success rate in Ghana can hardly be attributed to Afro. Given the level of desperation in that country ANY site would have provided similar results. To a lesser extent, the same can be said about Mombasa.

So, correct me if I'm wrong but your resume in Africa is limited to:

1 trip to Accra?

1 trip to Nairobi?

1 trip to Mombasa?

I can assure you that if you make future trips to Nairobi your success rate on Afro will tank like the Japanese stock market.

For once, I agree with you. However, if one doesn't like the hardened pros available at such venues as Capital Pub, Rock Gardens and Bubbles (to name a few) then what other options do they have? I mean the normal business traveler or vacationer is typically not connected well enough to access other types of women. And this perception that Ugandans (and Kenyans for that matter) fall all over themselves for muzungus and that all you have to do is just walk down the street to get them is a huge fallacy. So some type of Internet approach, in my *opinion, is still the best strategy. If you buy that, then next question becomes OK,"which site"? Afro is out of the question for me across the board. I tried a few of the social networking sites, with even worse results. For example, there was this one girl on both Tagged and Facebook with tons of pics and hundreds of friends who chatted me up for months on end. Then, when it finally came time to meet in Kampala, she turned out to be an entirely different girl? Fuck, here we go. Afro all over again! Then after telling one of my gfs this story, she told be about a new site called eababes. She knows the guys who started it and so I checked it out. Local presence, more women than men, west African IP's blocked, verified profiles and pics. Damn, finally a site that works in Uganda!

I'm not really sure how Kampala differs that considerably from Nairobi in this respect? After all, is the Sheraton or Imperial Palace really that much different in price than the Hilton or Safari Park? I pretty much think it's a given that most high-end hotels in either city are going to be well over $100usd? Now, I think you said that you stayed (or stay) at the Astoria hotel in town? I checked out this hotel ages ago, but it didn't suit my comfort level so I hauled ass out of there immediately and consequently forgot what they charged. Anyway, when I stay in that area, I usually stay at the JBK (very close to the Astoria) for $35. 00usd. This is with A / C, TV, fridge, hot water and breakfast. Far from pristine, but a hell of a lot better and cheaper than the Kenya Comfort Hotel in Nairobi (for instance) at $65. 00usd! Or compare it to the Central park hotel in Nairobi at $45. 00usd. Of course, cheaper options exist all over the city but *a* good starting point for those interested would be the string of hotels behind the old Equatorial hotel. Outside of the city, in kabalagala, Muyenga or Kansanga, safe, quality accommodations can be found from $11. 00USD up.

Expensive?

I think kampala is expensive as far as hotels goes. 100us$ is the minimum for acceptable quality and comfort.

Kampala is not tailored for tourists but it is more Business oriented, so for better class of hotels the prices is sky high.

As I have said earlier, any dating site as good as it get should be only a part of the complete monger strategy.

Where in kampala do you want stay? The city center? Kansanga, Kabalagala, Muyenga, Kololo, etc? PM me with the info and I can make some recommendations. Plenty of quality accomodations are avail for well under $100us, depending on the location.

Have met over 30 women, ALL looked as advertised, and fucked 95 percent of them. And about 90 percent of them on the first date.
