I'm glad that you had fun in Kampala. I can't imagine that a tourist could have anything but fun here. The challenge for those of us that live here is that it's such a small city that it's difficult to be anonymous when you want to be.

I decided to take a little time to check out the Rock Garden/Speke scene last Friday night. At about 9:00 there were about thirty girls in the bar area, most of them too scrawny for my tastes. I ended up leaving with two (don't know why I chose two instead of one, regretted it later) with slightly more generous booties than the others. Even as I was driving away with them, I saw some much more juicy options on the street just outside the hotel. We went to one of their flats not too far outside downtown. The service was not too bad, not too great, and they were in a hurry to get back, since I didn't want them for the whole night. I got one of the phone numbers for daytime action in case I needed it, but I was not overwhelmed enough by the services to be too eager to take up that offer.

For those in the hunt as visiting travelers, the Rock Garden seems to be a good bet for choice and easy access, but it doesn't seem the greatest place for me as someone who's looking for more full-figured women with serious booties. Probably since the Rock Garden caters heavily for tourists and expatriates the girls tend to be on the skinnier side, not to my tastes.

P.S.--For those who are reading past posts for Uganda, the Copper Bar at the Grand Imperial Hotel, which was referred to on the board is now "closed until further notice."

Most chambermaids in Tourist Hotel were willing to offer at least HJ, I always paid 5. 000 USH and they were glad about it

As a city with some of the most beautiful girls on the planet, IMHO, Kampala has a range of places where the young and trendy go to hang out, and lots of opportunities to meet beautiful young non-pros at those places. In addition to some of the ones mentioned below on this board, including the Venue at Garden City and Club Five at Makerere, here are a few more: everywhere at Garden City Mall in the evenings; TLC, Steakout, Cheese Bar, and Faze 2 on Nakasero; Mateo's at Parliament Ave. ; Boldwins Cafe in Crested Towers; Rouge downtown; and just about anywhere in Kabalagala/Kansanga (although there are plenty of pros in K/K as well). If you are looking to pick up professionals around the city, Standard Chartered Bank and International Hospital seem to employ a disproportionate amount of hot women, but it may not be necessary to make the effort to visit these places. There are lots of beautiful women everywhere, so it shouldn't take much effort. One of the big drawbacks in Kampala is overpriced accommodation, and that doesn't seem like it will get better any time soon.

For those interested in daytime action, and relaxing a bit after the stress of Kampala's bumpy roads and frustrating customer service, there are a ton of massage parlors in Kampala. Most of them offer "extras, " although some offer a lot more extras than others. Here are a few of the higher-end ones; the lower-end ones are more likely to offer more extras, but at most massage parlors, the masseuses are not too attractive, so you may get what you pay for.

Kabira Club, Bukoto: The Kabira Club offers massages at 20, 000, or 15, 000 for members, with extras available. The masseuses are not the best-looking, but give good massages and are usually eager to offer a HJ for no more than 10, 000 Ushs. More extras may be available, but you may have to arrange an alternative meeting place.

Sheraton Hotel: The Sheraton offers some of the most expensive massages at 30, 000 a pop. The masseuses are much cuter than at other places, and at least some are willing to offer extras, but you will pay for those extras.

Africana Hotel: This is the worst value. The facilities are lousy and a massage costs 20, 000. Extras may be available but I wasn't in the mood when I was there.

Grand Imperial Hotel: This hotel also charges 20, 000 and the masseuses are willing to offer some extras. Facilities are so-so, and the masseuses are no beauties.

KK Health Club, Ntinda: This decidely more down-market option caters primarily to local politicians, including at one time the vice president. It is much cheaper, at 10, 000 per massage, and is a much better bet to get a wider range of extras than the above places. That said, there is very little privacy in the massage rooms, and the facilities are not too hot.

There are a lot of others, especially at the low end, so wherever you are in the city, you won't lack for choice.
