You usually need 40 minutes from Entebbe to reach Kampala. But if you go in the late afternoon or evening, you can spend even more than an hour and a half.

Considering a trip to Uganda as always wanted to see it apart from the PTP fun.

Looking at blogs and travel clips I'd say Entebbe is more my speed than Kampala. But is there enough fun there to last a week or so?

Also, how long does it take by taxi to reach Kampala if I go there for a couple of days?

Motorbike taxi to the "Nile View Casino" after 7pm. Told upon arrival that the casino's night-club was only open Thursday through Sunday. Room with the betting table filled with men who looked like they were all from the Middle East. Girls there were none.

A short walk from the casino, on Main Street, to a place called "Queen's Place". Many men. A couple of hardened girls of average looks, plus 3 or 4 other girls moving about, sometimes sitting with men, sometimes taking orders. Difficult to say whether the latter were customers, girls on the game or waitresses. A TV set was blaring. On the screen a preacher was performing miracles. What a dump. I gulped down my Fanta and called for the bill.

Off to SPOT6 club on Main Street. Better atmosphere than Queen's place but again, full of geezers. They had more right to be there than my white ass of course, but they were not what I was looking for. When I left to go back to the hotel at 9pm more men were trickling in.

No SWs or doable girls in the streets of Jinja as far as I could make out from the backseat of the motorbike.

Jinja is quiet during the week, especially early in the night, the action gets a little better later on in the night. Queens Palace is full over the weekend but you need to go at midnight or later, "The office" is also good but again only weekends and later in the night, same applies with the club next to the casino.

There is a club called cafe 49 (I think) that is a lot nicer than Queens Palace, but I have never seen girls obviously working there.

Kampala is better for pros and semi pros and girls in general, I tend to meet girls on Tinder, then have them travel to Jinja for the night, usually only have to give them a little transport in the morning.

At 1:30 am, today Wednesday, downtown on Main Street, 2 good-looking girls waiting for clients outside a club / disco called "Top Club" (or was it Spot Club, or Stop Club? My memory fails me). Anyway, Main Street is small. This type of daylight action is very rare in Africa.

Out of town in the touristy area around Wilson avenue, no action at all even after nightfall. Downtown Jinja easily accessible by motorbike taxi. I lecture motorbike taxis to drive slowly before I hop on.

As a NYer, done the trek to Sosua many times, the Del Rey in San Jose CR 3 or 4 times and typically try to have an African GF in NYC available.

But the party scene is really what I like too.

Dominicans really aren't to my taste, but back in the day 7-10 years ago, hanging out on the street in Sosua, watching the parade of girls head to one club or another, basically all available and then dancing with a few before making my selection is the most fun for me.

Haven't been able to find that and don't want to go to SE Asia (girls too small and not to my taste) - where can I go to a fun club with a lot of non-hardcore athletic sweet African girls? English speaking too 👍.

Are you referring to Capital Pub or all of Kampala? Correct me if wrong, but it seems like there are at least 4 categories and price points in Kampala:

1. Bwaise and similar poor areas most people don't even visit (dirt cheap, 1 k-20 k).

2. Capital Pub, Kalabagala or William Street, Centre (cheap, 20 k-50 k).

3. O'learys and all other expat bars, AcaciaAve, or Kololo bars (tourist prices).

4. The Alchemist, Monot Lounge, LiquidSilk, Guvnor, in Bugolobi or IndustrialArea (local upscale prices).

Prices in Capital pub are clear and Neddy69 just nailed it once again. I'm also well aware my self-defined price categories overlap to certain degree.

Spot on analysis. Its a market. Like there is Volkswagens and Ferrari. There is is stunners marketing themselves as Ferraris and you'll find them in the upmarket downtown places. Its a matter of your negotiating skills, time of night. i.e. late night prices go down. But they'll start with 100 usdollar baseline. If a girl quotes dollars I walk away straight from the deal. But you're looking for at least 100k to 200k ugx. The Volkswagens you can find in Capital. Out of a 80 girls probably 80% is trash. But there is always some stunners for 50.000 ugx. Be aware though that Capital is only for the hardcore africa monger who knows how to keep the skanks at bay. My friend a quite experienced africa monger had to run away recently.

90% of the girls on Tinder these days are pros. In Kigali they ask 50 or 100 Rwf. You don't get Top models in Kigali for 10 $. No way. Rwandese girls are more hypocrites than Ugandan girls about money. I asked a young educated Rwandese guy about prices. He said anything below 30 Rwf is cheap. So 3 Rwf would be trash. Businessmen pay 100 $ for topmodels and these girls on Tinder ask the same when you are white guy. So Kampala is much better than Kigali to pick up girls.

Well. Again you would be surprised that my mate shagged top models for 10.000 rwf in Kigali. I don't know what your definition of top model is anyway. Young educated rwandan. LOL. And you get Burundian Stunners as well. Refugees. And don't forget. If a girl doesn't speak english and only kirundi or kinyarwanda her market value goes way down. I agree that upper class rwandan girls are snottier obviously. But rest assured there is no shortage of stunners you can lay for 10.000 rwf or less.
