Overall not a good experience. I wanted to stay in Kampala for a week but then just caught a flight to Dar Es Salaam, Its been great here. I will post my report on Tanzania thread.

I know Kampala from two stays the recent not a year ago. I liked it there. To Dar I did not make it yet, had it on my list but from what I heard and read I had the impression it is below Kampala and Nairobi regarding to general infrastructure and girls. So your opinion and reasons would be interesting.

The problem is compounded by the fact that in Africa hotel (or AirBnB) staff who should protect you will not do so. I speak from experience and I was in a good hotel (Speke). And neither will police protect you of course. It is easy to say after the fact that you were wrong to entertain the girl after she mentioned trading. Many girls online mention fancy pursuits in order to appear high-class and fashionable. Should we eliminate all such girls? We might be left with few alternatives (street shanks?). As to the girl coming with a guy, well, many girls do although the guy usually stays invisible. He might make an unwanted appearance later though.

Anyone with an IQ above average would understand that it takes skill to trade successfully. A girl smart enough for that would have zero reason to search for old fat mzungu on tinder. XXL I remember your reports years ago and wondered where you did go, you were so positive back then and naive I guess. Many guys go to Africa and think it is paradise until they get scammed. Like Neddy writes it is not for the faint of heart. You can have a couple of good trips but then you get caught in a scam and then It will not be the same anymore. Is it a vacation when you always have to watch your back? Or would it be called desperation? Dubai is a very valid alternative. Lot's of African hookers with expired papers, very cheap, and they have zero rights there so your always in a favorable position. It's cheap to fly there from Europe and for same quality of hotel as in Africa and food you pay 1/3 and no visa fees. And it's Ugandans you will meet there anyway.

I was going to Tanzania but changed my plan at the last minute and booked for Uganda (I had a visa for both).

Accommodation:

Someone recommended an Apartment near Acacia Mall. I followed the same book in the same apartment. The location is great. It is a 5-minute walk to Acacia Mall, with access to coffee places and food joints. The apartment was big enough with basic facilities. The bed was basic and so was the washroom. It's not too bad for $40 per night.

It is within walking distance to some cool clubs H2 O, and Catwalk and forgot the name of Third.

The bad: From midnight water & power were gone. It was disgusting to pee and not able to flush. Also, the building is very deep. I mean you have to climb the mountain just to get out of the compound. The Terrace Club is right next to it, expect for some loud music.

H2 O:

Absolutely fun place, The Girls were hot, and most non-pros. Bar girls were hot AF. I pretty much spent the evening drinking and talking to one girl, She kept insisting she wasn't a pro. She said she will get laid, she liked me but I needed to treat her like a girlfriend (go for dinner, be a gentle man, etc, didn't ask for money but sure it would be expected). She refused to come on the same night.

I also got a number of my server, another hottie.

Capitol Pub:

I then head to the much-discussed Capital Pub. This is a hoe central. It was jam-packed with hoes. It was already like 3 am, I needed to fuck, So I picked one and head back to my apt.

Said no, its not needed. I don't need your brother at my place. They both said, they want to talk business but I found it quite weird. Then they insist me to get into the car to go somewhere. I said I don't feel comfortable to get into your car. We argue for a while and I told them to go away. I offered 20 K for their gas / time but just leave. The guy got angry / furious. Started screaming, banging her steering. Before thing go out of control or anything, I just ran back into the building compund. Locked the door from inside. Ran to my apt, turned off lights. Just incase they follow me.

Somehow my gut feeling said this is something bad going to happen.

I thought you were a seasoned monger when it comes to Africa. An African girl starts discussing trading and you decide it is a good idea to meet her? How many romance scams have you fallen for in your lifetime? Wake up from your dream! You should not have gotten yourself into that situation to begin with! The warning sign are all over! You must be joking when you say you didn't pay anything. If you are exempt from yellow fever vaccine you are more than 60. No fuckin way a hot Ugandan girl is giving it away for free to you King Charles. Nothing is free in Africa. I have been there, I know how it works. And for the most part I was hunting girls in the center, which is the cheapest way to get laid. Only the transport can cost a girl more than 20 k, back and forth, with a boda.
