I've been reading your posts for a while and am now ready to contribute, but first I need your help.

I've had my share of experiences traveling in Africa but haven't been to Uganda yet. I'm currently planning an Entebbe. Kampala - Mombasa. Lamu - Nairobi trip for early next year.

I will be staying a couple of days in both Entebbe and Kampala. My trips aren't all about girls, I like to explore the cities by foot and also like to stay in fairly nice or special hotels. Or at least very well located hotels. Can anyone recommend a girl friendly but also decent hotel in Entebbe? I saw K-Hotels, but that seems to be a bit far from town? Hard to judge from google maps. I'd like to spend some time at Aero Beach, and I read somewhere that the amazon pub might be worth a visit.

In Entebbe I booked Speke Hotel, not the Apartments. Am I right in believing the hotel is also girl friendly?

At one time I had about ten guys round me, when I was asked what I liked most about Uganda, I replied the women and they all roared with laughter. But obviously I did not let my guard down and always used common sense after dark. I never saw or heard a mosquito the entire time I was in Uganda including in the Bush on the Safari, so stopped taking my anti malaria tablets after I returned from the Safari. Because of my age was exempted from the yellow fever Jab so Just had that confirmed in the yellow fever booklet and this was accepted for the online Visa issue.

Before you go I suggest you read this book to get an understanding of the Uganda and tribal cultures, and why the ladies are so willing and happy to please a man. - Uganda the Essential Guide to Customs and Culture by Ian Clarke, you can get it from the online store named after a South American river, at least you can in UK.

Lastly, have a plan be in case it doesn't work out for you, mine was MassageandMoreSpa in Makindye, they have a website, I did not visit or have an out call from them no need. I was sitting in Cafe Javas across from Acacia Mall alone having lunch one day, nice looking, well dressed lady alone at next table, eye contact made, conversation started, phone number obtained easy peeze. Unfortunately did not have time to call her, but next time: and will be a next time I'm defiantly going back to Uganda.

My Airbnb sucks on so many levels and it's down a dirt road with a dirt parking lot. No clean shoes in this city. I'm switching to somewhere else and more expensive this week. Nairobi has more quality options at good prices.

Get a Revolut. I only use Revolut. Important. Use only a VISA Revolut card. Before I was ripped off by my bank and Visa Credit Card including shit Exchange rate In lost up to 30! Avoid no name ATMs like the plague. They're rip off. I had to reverse charge.

I use only Diamond Trust, Equity ATMs. Standard are ok. But they charge too. Only in case of emergency. MASH. Well. All are crap more or less. I use Modern. But delays can happen. I don't use long haul. I broke my journey. Nairobi to Kisumu. Then I took MODERN from Kisumu to Entebbe. Border. Was not a real problem. There's a one stop border shop. I didn't even have to offload luggage for inspection.

Get used to your plans thrown off. That's Africa. You can find yourself thrown in jail for no reason. Or the bus falls off a cliff. Then you're plain and simple dead. Enjoy sweet Kampala pussy. The diversity is hard to beat.
