All guest-houses are girl friendly. I have heard of one, that actually sends for hookers to visit their single male international guests. These is an abundance of Guest-houses in Lusaka. Competition is fierce. They are all girl friendly as they do not want to lose any guests over this issue. So long you keep your stay civilized (no excessive loud music, partying etc) they will mind their business and let you mind yours. I don't use guest-houses often, as I normally have private accommodation sorted for me when I visit Zambia. So difficult for me to recommend. All close to action.

A bit further out but nothing a taxi / cab couldn't fix.

Southern Sun Hotel.

Pamodzi Hotel.

Intercontinental Hotel.

If company is paying, stick to the hotels and enjoy the added luxury. Lodges would / should only come into play if you trying to save a few $'s.
