I did that at my first trip (2002) with a 19 years old superb beauty « Sakalava » (ethny) from « la brousse » around DIEGO. Fresh and simple. She gave me her ID, I put it in my passport. And she was mine during 15 superb days. Without a single whim or request to pay or buy anything. And I made clear from the beginning that it would be a slice of life with no other commitment. We both enjoyed. That’s all!

Thank you Tige de jade for the lavish oeuvres that you painted in your three comprehensive reports. They conveyed a longing to visit Madagascar and to live la belle vie for a few weeks. The closest I came to having such a girl was when in my twenties and a student in Paris, I had a girlfriend from La Réunion. Happy memories.

It would only be if my life became sufficiently simple that I could even dream of a stay in Madagascar. In the meantime I will content myself with mongering where I live, in the Middle East - and dream-on while occasionally visiting this thread.

Travelling inside the country:

1)Domestic flights AIR MAD are numerous and well maintained (no accident since 1982, notwithstanding its name! Contract Management with LUFTHANSA) however they are not cheap.

TANA being in the center of the country, if you want to go to any provincial town on sea shore (DIEGO; NOSY-BE; TULEAR; MAJUNGA; MORONDAVA; FORT DAUPHIN.) the return rate in 2007 was around 580 000 MGA (I. E. 220 Euros). TAMATAVE is closer and cheaper (157 Euros).

You have two ways to get discounts: 20% discount is offered if you book and pay 15 days in advance with a Saturday night on spot (in fact personally, I have now my travel agent in TANA who trusts me and I can order from Paris; he issues the ticket only when I am in TANA).

Another way is to come from Europe by AIR MAD: you have 40% discount on domestic flights booked and bought in Europe. But AIR MAD is often more expansive than AIR FRANCE!

2) Local standard transport « taxi-brousse is much much cheaper. Very cheap, but crowdy minibuses (without aircond. You are not in Asia! ), which are an interesting experience, but can be also pretty hard if babies are crying, heat over 30°. To spend 6 hours (TAMATAVE) or 9 hours (MAJUNGA- 18 000 MGA/ 7 E). Roads to TAMATAVE; MAJUNGA; TULEAR are tarred roads. You can even go to MANANJARY with a perfect newly tarred road.

But the road to DIEGO (I. E. Also NOSY –BE) is not yet finished to be tarred in 2007 (even if it is one of the priority of the last six years Presidency)

And it is clear that except if you are a true backpacker, it is impossible to spend 3 days in « taxi-brousse partly on unpaved roads to go to MORONDAVA or DIEGO and sleep in the minibus or flea rest houses.

3) Of course if you can afford it, and it can be an option not more expansive than plane if you travel at 2 or 3 people: private driver. You stop where and when you want. I have a very good and cheap car driver (70 000 MGA per day /27 E + gasoline); girlfriendly! To admire superb countryside, caress superb little tits of a young beauty and have a gentle private massage in the meantime, is a must!

Mongering:

The country is very friendly to mongers of all ages.

I was told (never observed) that what malagasy men cannot accept, because they become very jealous, is a malagasy man with a « white girl.

MADAGASCAR is basically a matriarcal society.

There is no prostitution with « mamasan as in Asia.

Girls are always independent: pro, semi-pro, newbies, more or less encouraged by their mother. The mothers see as an asset the possibility for a nice daughter to go with « vazahas ».

Historically,

In fact you have mostly Frenchmen over 50 who discovered this paradise and come regularly or even settle for a retirement at low cost but high sexual intensity. Some fall in love and start a new family (often after a divorce in Europe), manage a small hotel or restaurant. Of course it is the target of many girls to marry a « vazaha ». Other remain independent and enjoy several months in a city with various girls, then change their horizon to another city to enjoy new girlie environment. Some become alcoholic sponges and share their time between girls and bottles. They become sad wrecks.

Whatsoever, the environment is very tolerant.

It is clear –and it happened to me several times- that the most attractive experience is when you are the first « white man a girl fall in love with. I always observed, that after having met and share love with « vazahas », girls cannot come back to love with local malagasy boys. They will try to find other « white men; they become addicted to us and our games. Once a malagasy girl I knew well told me that malagasy men never lick them. Personally I am very fond of cunnilingus. It happened to me only twice among maybe nearly hundred girls to be told « no, I do not like it ». One was a pro (but elegant and kind, of MAJUNGA, I kept her two days, very photogenic); the other was a young mother of NOSY BE who told me: « no, I am Muslim (? )

By your reports I can said that you had a good time in Mada and are a very much experienced monger in Mada, On my last trip I only stay in Tana for 2 weeks I did mostly the Glacier and street walker, (nothing else to do in Tana except mongering)Glacier early in the afternoon and street walker at night or late evening, you are right at the Glacier you can find some gem in the rough as I did a few times especially around 6-7pm, the Indra is not too much my cup of tea, girls there are very average imho, it is true that Tana is a fairly safe place walked a lot even at night and never felt threatened even walking from Indra to Glacier about 20 minutes walk, just love to walk at night as you can see all the street walker but beware it is not for everyone! I am quite muscular wich is a turn off for the small thief lots of street walker from Indra to the area below Sakamanga The only time I had a concern with my safety was on a crowded street market where I got pickpocket and I can say that those guy work in team of a few and are very good at it, lost of about 5k to 10k Ariary, they hit the wrong pocket it was the pocket for beggar money.

On my next trip I plan to stay in Tana just a few days on arrival and a few days before my departure would like to visit Mada by renting a Motorcycle as I did when I was there for my first time shortly after the departure of former president Ratsiraka in 2002

It is advice that you should have a good supply of vitamin V or C as what you can buy in Tana is very expensive 75 Euros for 4 pill of 20mg Cialis but the clerk told me that it is less expensive than in France where it is more expensive! Well can not said if true because I am not french but in my country it is about 35 Euros for the same.

hotels/discos:

hotels are cheap –however rates are increasing with inflation- and never found an hotel which would not be girls friendly!

however, do not expect the same quality of hotel service than in se asia at comparable price.

it is a rough country: air cond is seldom of last generation when you pay mid range hotel.

even clean, the quality of towels or bathroom amenities will not be those of thailand or cambodia.

for each destination (it is a vast country with girls of various ethnies), i provide you my suggestions.

usually all hotels sticks the poster against sexual tourism distributed by the government at front desk. in line with this policy, they usually check and keep girls id, banning **** girls, especially in tana.

it is a good and relaxing practice girls are accustomed to.

for this reason, as sometimes girls have lost their id or have no id; when you take a girl from a disco or a bar in tana, always ask her if she has an id (and personally, i ask to see the id, girls accept without problem –it avoids the disappointment to be refused at front desk or to have the girl bargaining in malagasy with the caretaker to overpass his first refusal –practice that i refuse).

in tamatave, disco men of the queen’s where checking (even inside disco) id of girls they did not know (newbies). it is relaxing!

in morondava, i confess it was very louse, with access to bungalows through the beach.

antananarivo (the capital)

most girls you will meet at bars or disco are not « merina » (ethny of central madagascar –high plateaux) but stay in the capital several months or years out of their original region. the pros will do that for money of course, but you will find many semi pros who just come for a few weeks (especially from tamatave) to spend good time with friends, live at friends or relatives home, without control of their family and are keen to have love with « vazahas » (and correlative gifts to buy garments) with a freedom they do not have in their home city. on day time, you have always girls at glacier (avenue de l’indépendance) and at the bar in front of bmoi near hotel colbert (never went there by night; but the proximity of the n°1 hotel for businessmen seems to induce more « elegant » pros. but pros maybe with more money requirements –i never picked a girl there, as foolish amonts given one time to a girl change her perception. and she becomes a true *****; same for disco pandora at night nearby.) i confess that i am an addict of rough glacier or indra. i am keen to hand pick gems from mud! other might prefer to chose jewels already gauged in reputed shops.

the best time is to go to glacier between 6pm and 7 pm: you will have a wide choice of girls to talk with. and take away: pros, semi pros and if you are lucky: debutantes.

when night comes a lot of girls are in the street in the center (but never tried –often too young and usually with no id) between glacier and indra.

from 10. 30 pm indra is the hot, very hot spot. some girls leave glacier to indra; others do not like glacier (complex relations betwen girls and « official » pick up place for « vazahas ») and prefer going straight to disco indra. indra is mixed: malagasy boys coming with their girlfriend (or to find one), pros (you have immediately to refrain! ), and semi pros who are in a love mood but will say yes only to the kind of man with whom they feel attraction for bed (and « vazahas » are actively wished with a ratio of 3 girls to one man) accordingly, you are sometimes surprised to find very hot girls, who looked shy in the disco. the best are always those who were shy but opened at eyes glance. you have to start talking with. you have to be prepared to be targeted by pros (smoking and drinking) and to strongly refrain them; but also to be refused by other girls (it is freedom! ). winking at one will give you her mood. a short exchange of talks, with or without paying a drink. and in a few minutes after you can leave the place for action (i always check id in the corridor before leaving).

other discos in tana are pandora (very nice decoration and more sophisticated girls) and le bus (from friday to saturday- mostly for local bourgeois. and/or hot from 2am (too late for me, get there twice around midnight. to waste time! )

in tamatave, the disco is queen’s. there is also the night-club of hotel neptune –more sophisticated. but the most professional girls are going there after queen’s; accordingly, i never visited it and sticked to queen’s.

however on saturday and friday at some distance of the center, pandora is opened. it is a mixture of well-off local people and free girls. movement of taxis between queen’s and pandora is in action!

in majunga, everynight ravinala is opened. it is very dark in the disco; but at first floor you have the pros or semi pros playing pools and you can pick up girls from up or down.

on thursday, friday, saturday, you can go to club san antonio: very pleasant place, opened on the sea with various terraces. it is more mixed with locals coming for a nice evening and pros and non pros looking for new opportunities.

in diego: it is very hot and very dark at the nouvel hotel: you feel with your hands and bring back your reward. later in the night another club, more elegant and frequented by well-off locals and free girls (girls have to pay to come; so it is more up grade. or elegantes). for debutantes nouvel hotel will be a better opportunity. but hard to chose in the darkness!

safety:

until now, i consider that it is a safe country.

however, of course, never have a lot of money with you, or big wallet when going to disco. or walking by night or in markets.

in tana the area of marché de la petite vitesse and former zoma are well known for day thieves (but same for paris eiffel tower or montmartre area! ).

i have never been afraid to walk alone by midnight especially in provincial towns (be more careful in tana; keep small money available with you). and there are everywhere cheap taxis or pousse-pousse day and night.

the area of risk with weapons attack is the national road and touristic sites between fianarantsoa and tulear especially at sunset.

historically it is the area of « thieves of zebus » (the fiancé had to steal a zebu to demonstrate his virility to future bride). today this tradition extended to less romantic actions against visitors. (a mission of 15 travel agents was completely robbed of money and cameras, in spring 2007, at sunset at a famous nature spot –at the request of the authorities few advertisement was made to avoid to kill tourism in the country).

it is also in this area that gems mines have been discovered about ten years ago, accordingly, a lot of adventurers wander around.

sometimes, taxi-brousses are attacked, after a log be put on this part of the north-south road, so taxi-brousse are encouraged to travel in caravans in this area. better to go by plane to tulear.

I get a lot of precious information on this site, for various countries but did not bring my contribution.

I have various reasons for that: I am not a good typist, and moreover, English is not my mothertongue. If I want to be precise, I need a dictionary to communicate my true feelings.

Even if I have not been trained in secret services, I took the habbit in the past few years to carry with me a little note book, on which I immediately memorize all infos on costs, mongering experiences and feelings.

I confess, that since 2002, MADAGASCAR has become for me a must in this respect and my duty as well as my pleasure is to share my experiences.

I went there 7 times since then, visited several parts of the country to see new horizons, taste new girls of various ethnnies and discover new atmospheres.

Flights:

To be honest, the critical point for this destination –compared to Asia/Bangkok for example- is flight cost.

Usually, with AIR France or AIR MADAGASCAR, from PARIS, the standard cost is slightly below 1000 Euros. You reach the same cost with AIR MAURITIUS (via MAURITIUS) or via LA REUNION (with AIR AUSTRAL).

For those who want to avoid TANA, the plus of transit via LA REUNION is that you have, several days a week, direct flights to NOSYBe; DIEGO

(ANTSIRANANA); TAMATAVE (TOAMASINA); FORT DAUPHIN(TOLEGNARO).

CORSAIRFLY offers cheaper rates (around 750 E from Paris) than regular companies, but flights are often cancelled or changed in schedule (sometimes advanced, sometimes delayed); I never used it but I heard negative experiences of various tourists.

However, at certain period, AIR France and AIR MAD offer sudden promotions. In 2007 I get in January an AIR France flight at 630 E (with 23 kg luggage) and in May an AIR France flight at 612 E (with 46 kg luggage! ). But each time, it was with booking 45 to 60 days ahead.

AIR MAD has weekly flights from MILANO and from MARSEILLES; and also from Bangkok. For Asia mongerers wanting to discover a new horizon (but flight is not cheap! ).

Flights exist also from NAIROBI and JOBURG. (not cheap! )

However, IT IS A WORTHWHILE DESTINATION. As my forthcoming stories and photos will convince you!

Money:

Is Malagasy Ariary (MGA). But many people (taxis; girls.) still think and talk in Francs malgaches!

At the beginning it can create confusion and it is advisable to precise if you talk in Ariary or FMG when you mention a price.

1 MGA= 5 FMG

As the biggest banknote is 10 000 MGA; I. E. 50 000 FMG; the biggest bankknote is around 4 euros!

You can change cash; TC (with buying receipts) and ATM at the various banks (most affiliates of French banks). However (especially with big notes in Euros) you get better rates with black market changers (near SAKAMANGA or adjacent streets. Avoid those of the airport or avenue de l’Indépendance. They will try to cheat you between FMG and MGA! And count all the packets of notes! With those I am accustomed to, never cheating but negociating the rate! )

In fact there has been a 50% devaluation of the local currency in 2004. Accordingly everything became half price in hard currency compared to rates of 2003 and before. Including girls!

Gifts for girls and travelling with girls:

In ANTANANARIVO, the standard rate will be ST: 20 000 MGA (around 8 E) and LT 30 000 MGA (12 E) + if you are happy 5000 MGA for taxi (sometimes asked). In fact these notions ST/LT does not really exist: when a girl says yes, it means she agrees to stay with you as long as you want.

In the provincial towns (DIEGO, TAMATAVE.): never pay more than 25 000 MGA for the night (half for ST sometimes after discussion if she has not been good or active and that in fact you fire her. As in fact all girls are LT)

If you stick to these rates, you do need have to negociate beforehand.

If she is a pro and want more; just laugh, tell her you know the rate and it is enough. True pros are easy to recognise (smoke and drink).

More difficult to know at first when you are with a non pro or semi pro. Your attitude before action might be negative to you, as she will think that you treat her as stuff, when she is only thinking at mutual pleasure –your gift of course, as discreetly as possible, will of course be accepted but the girl will not be offenced. In my practice, I put the notes directly in the bag or pants pocket of girls when they leave. Usually, they kiss me without counting.

And when I am convinced through discussion that she is a true newbie, I pay nothing. Just we decide of next meeting. I shall give the gift at the end of our relationship and in that case if we spent wonderful time, I am more generous. After a wonderful night experience, you can decide to recruit the girl for the rest of your stay. If she is not blocked by a job (servant.) or studies (but even in this case, it is such a luck for her, that she will usually arrange the matter with her employer or school and take a leave); think at 20 000 MGA (8 E)/30 000 MGA (12 E) per day at the end. And she will be very happy and kiss you lavishly. I will not say that you cannot pay less. But when a girl is nice with you, you have to be nice. Do not inflate the rate, but be respectful!

If you had mutual good fuck session she will be more than happy to travel with you in the country: to enjoy siesta sessions as well as night love. No limit. Except your capacities!

From center (TANA) you can go by road (taxi –brousse or driver) to TAMATAVE; MAJUNGA; ANTSIRABE; FIANARANTSOA; MANANJARY.

But to go to the north (DIEGO or NOSY-Be) you need to go by plane. Same in fact if you consider to go extreme south (TOLIARY, TOLEGNARO or MORONDAVA).

For these destinations, find your beauty on the spot. Or it will be extremely costly. If you consider a trip in the north, arrive by plane straight at DIEGO (ANTSIRANANA). Either you go to DIEGO from TANA by domestic flight or directly from Europe via LA REUNION. Then you might go by taxi brousse/boat (1 day) to NOSY BE with your selected girl and enjoy beaches and ocean with her. I did that at my first trip (2002) with a 19 years old superb beauty « Sakalava » (ethny) from « la brousse » around DIEGO. Fresh and simple. She gave me her ID, I put it in my passport. Of course it is a matter of luck to find such gems!

And I am 60!

To please to all man’s desire is their only behavior (my 2007 girl precised « no anal »). Of course, to provide them as many climax they can afford, becomes a mutual target.

In the whole country (taxi-brousse; restaurants, hotels.) no hostility to a white man –even old- with a young beauty. She is proud to have been selected by a « vazaha ». And you will meet and make « vazaha » friends with their own young "assistant".

Here we have a nice malagazy girl who I can not show face do not remember her name neither the place (Glacier or Pandora) where I find this little gem but I remember that she was quite a good shag would give a repeat on my next trip.

Madagascar has been on my list for a long time, if only the flights from/to Europe were not _SO_ expensive... By the way: how "French" is the French spoken in M in terms of pronounciation? Years ago I met some guy from Cameroon, and his French was at least >strange< to understand for me, only having studied French at high school for a couple of years.

Maybe I will stick to Brazil again. Or give Asia a try?

The girls there are also not that good in French (language!). So there is no problem in communication if you know some words. It is about the same in Thailand. Do not expect super English of the girls. But you have always your body for body language ...
