Posts: 133Hotels Tana (Antananarivo, Tananarive)
Arrvived in the early morning hours at Ivato. Called hotels New Select, Sole, LE Glacier all fully booked. LE Relais Normand have a new price structure 75 k standard room, 90 k VIP. Only VIP left, needed to get my head down so I took it. The toilet is dirty and unflushed with the waste of the last occupant.
In the morning I change hotels. Sole, a really nice hotel, quote me 120 k for the double. It's 87 k on booking. They will not budge so I booked it through the website.
There is a street full of streetwalkers (actually seated) near to hotel Relais Normand. If you stand with your back to the hotel facing the market you walk towards the right, then you take the first street to the right. Around noon I saw about 20 SW's mostly seated. Most of them are not top material but they are there in case you need a quick take away.
The amount of hassle you get in Tana is in my opinion not too bad, I can handle it. Did have to keep a keep a couple of teen beggars at arms length. They where encircling me like a pack of hyenas. Ready for the kill. I really had to physically push them away from me. I suspect some beggars are actually pickpockets.

Nice to hear again about Bella Donna, a Jewell, for sure, and sorry if no room, cooking is also exceptional.
And Thanks also for the pics about massage girls, did you say how much you gave for their nice service?

Posts: 759Not really difficult for an English speaking monger. But it is advisable to learn few words and expressions such as good morning, good afternoon / evening, thank you, make love, how much, short time, overnight etc. It will hardly take you a day or two to learn these. All the best. Whether you are white or not, it doesn't matter.

Hi guys, I've been going through the thread and it seems the girls here are nice, easy, and cheap. The thing is, I don't speak a word of French and I don't own a cell phone for translation help. My question for the senior guys is that is it worth going down there with such a language barrier? I'm white, in my 30's and muscular. Will these girls see a white face and say to hell with the language barrier as long as I've got the money?

Very good report. Mangily is a very nice place to hang around for a few days. Lots of massage girls offering their services. It is also advisable to book hotel or bungalow if you want to stay by the beach as these are easily fully booked. But at night it's really dark to move around unless you carry a torch. Would appreciate a report on Tulear also. Keep it up. Cheers!

I stayed for the week-end in Tulear and on Monday I toke a taxi to Mangily. Lots of taxis available and I negotiated a brand new car for 40 k. Old cars were cheaper but less comfortable. But first the driver had to fill up the gas tank and all the petrol stations were dry.
We did all the gas stations in town and finally found one still in service. The road to Mangily was remarkable smooth. Brand new I guess and without any pothole. Very much unlike other roads in Mada. I tried first to check in in La Bella Donna. Unfortunately fully booked.
I understand why. La Bella Donna is a jewel. The most beautiful property in Mangily hand down. So I tried next doors in la princesse du lagon but it was also full. So I ended up in the Bamboo Club near the end of the beach.
There still was one hut available right on the beach. Very nice. Just perfect.
I went for the beach and found many nice girl who offered massage. And I felt very soon this was also a buyers market. Many tourist in all the hotels but all the men brought their own sand to the beach. 99 % couples. Just perfect.
All the girls proposed to come to my room for some massage and extras.
During day time very easy to find many girls on the beach. And during the evening and night the place to be is The Blu bar in the center of Mangily.
The walk on the beach and the road to Mangily is very dark but I never felt unsafe. The main road in Mangily is als packed with people during the evening and it is very easy to find girls there also.
The best eatery in Mangily is definitely Chez Freddy on the road from the beach to the center.
All the food is really delicious and I ended up eating there every day and never felt ill.
On my return to Tulear I toke a tuktuk but the police stopped it a few kilometers before we reached our destination. The law was changed and tuk tuks from Mangily were not allowed anymore in Tulear.
So I had to take a taxi brousse to the city center and then a taxi to the airport.
With all that fuss I almost missed my plane back.

And yes I spend another week in this boring town. And yes the beach is squeaky clean. And yes I pay 40k for pussy. And yes I love Madagascar. As for all others. Stay in Thailand.

That's funny. Do you have a side job as a travelling comedian? There is no outrage going on here mate. If anyone has a problem it would be you with your phony claims of exploitation by people who do not have your means but you are doing the exact same thing on a higher budget. All you are doing is showing yourself to be a first class twat with a superiority complex. Make sure you pay at least 100 K for your STs in Mada. You wouldn't want to "exploit" someone. Keeping it real my ass. What a joke.

So they allow 3 month visa in Ivato airport now?
As far I understand you stay in Europe for one month to relax then 3 month in africa then repeat. So europe is your base to get organized.
