BTW, did you make it to Tamatave? Or did you stay in Tana? I gather Tamatave got lots of rain in recent weeks. And what is the situation like these post-Covid days in Mada in general? (availability; prices)? Any vivid stories?
Thanks in advance!

I have been looking around the web regularly but have yet to see much about new routes being added. Has anyone heard any word about whether or not Air Mauritius is going to resume flights from KL / Singapore? Currently flights from Canada are very few and stupidly priced.
NIO still awaiting some input on the coordinates you wrote for the immigration office in Tamatave SVP.

I have been told by the Tamatave immigration that the two month tourist visa can be extended *Indefinite. Its works like that.
1. You come with the 2 Month visa you got on arrival.
2. You got one month extension.
3. You come back and get the same type 2 month visa as you got on arrival.
4. repeat step 2 to 4.
The issue with this is that the one month visa extension occupides two pages in the passport. Its huge red inc stamp penetrated to the other side of the page and they wasted more then two pages. You can try to ask if you want only one stamp.
Step 3 is one small sticker visa.
What happens behind the scenes is obviously the same process they do in Mombasa no need to talk about it.
You can get retirement visa or marriage visa (no need a wife), or anything you want if you have money. So basically the immigration in Tamatave, Mombasa, Pataya etc offer the same "services" no need to be a Tesla millionaire or having any connections. Its 2 min process.

Thanks for the info. It is exactly what I intend to do. After much searching a while ago I found Neddy's post from around 2 years back (I think!) and it sounds much like what you did. IIRC he paid 88 K and did the legwork himself. Being a lazy prick I will probably spend the extra and do just what you did. 32 K to avoid hassles and hoofing it around is well worth it to me. Hell it's only the price of a short time! How's the weather in Tamatave?/ Pissing down?
BTW the coordinates you posted don't seem to make sense. 1809 degrees?

Today I had extended my 2 month visa in Tamatave 1809'15.7"S 4924'51.6"E.
Officer propose two options.
1. hard which I need to visit multple office which mean no visa.
2. Easy way which I need to do nothing.
I told him option 2.
He took us to a photoshop to print both flights to Tana and from Tana. Also we photocopied our passports and visas and finally we took 2 passport photos. All that time the police officer took care of everything. He actually left the office and went with us. The location of this photo shop is just next to that government office.
I paid 120 K and 20 K Tip. End of story.

We are talking about FL here so having a reference to FKK is pointless and nobody orders an escort in mada. Even in the massage ripoff joints in mada people pay after.
I never paid before neither in mada nor anywhere. My money my rules. Period.
