After some weeks in Mada, well acclimated I got to my last hotel to stay in bevor some days later do depart. I can not remember when I first used the term " fleur de Banane " . I well remember when I said it to a dark-skinned french lady in her 60 . She found it as a great compliment, she may got aroused by it. Not so me.

Anyway, at the last reception there was this hot spinner thing and I said to her: "Bonjour Mon. Fleure de Banane" . She and her College started to giggle and I thought, there you go again.

After the booking done, I said it to her again followed by the question about when will we see again.

She then replied something like not again that fleure de Banane or otherwise she will " affiffiche vous !"

I did not understand "affifficher" , but her face told me something.

Affifficher means something like. To bring it to court, police. Uups.

I have spend some time in Asia in various hotels, various countries, never had something with a room maid. I guess the girls are either in or not in the game, not interested at all or wanted to get married and not laid in a minute. On the other hand there are lot of pros wich are easy to recognize and we go for them. Approaching any girls on the road easy goes into a disaster.

Africa is different to me. After all, any girl wich responses to a smile is approachable and eventually doable. Well off girls in solid hands just do not respond at all, not even respond to a Hello, wich in my culture is just not polite. There it is just a self-protection I guess. To me it needs always some days for acclimation.

In some countries in Asia I have been offered extra services by maids as well. In Thailand because I speak Thai and can make jokes in Thai so I can pick up most girls I like from stores, restaurants etc. Girls on higher pay scales are more difficult of course, but still possible. I am not young and handsome. I am now learning Swahili from my girl in Tanzania so I can try and see what I can reach there as well, although she is an absolute gem in my eyes she ticks all the boxes of what I am looking for in life, literally the 1st girl that ticked all boxes in my life I had never expected to find her in Africa.

But I am very upbeat on the possibilities once you speak local languages. In Asia an old trick of mine is literally show the money. Once I have some attention from a waitress I will accidentally pull out to much money when paying and once I see the greed in her eyes I will say something like. How much do you get paid here? And it will go very quickly to let's meet later. My guess is something similar would work on "normal" girls in Africa too. Especially if you speak Malagasy a bit or Swahili or whatever. And of course joke a lot. People always like it when you make them laugh.

The rumor must have certainly spread in this middle class hotel, a single vahaza is her to stay! After my morning walk I came back to my room wich was already made. Across my room door I saw the pretty maid at her work. She looked at me and I asked if the room is made? She agreed and I asked her if she is sure. " mais oui! " But I will chek again. So she came in and I asked if I should shut the door, she said jess and she will have a final look at the bed, leaning over it with her bottom up towards me. Uups. What I supposed to do now? What this could go into? She then said something like I will pay my hotel bill so I am her boss and she would do all all to my satisfaction. If that is no offer. Anyway, I resisted since I had a good night bevor and this could become easily complicated I guessed. She left and my door was open again, so I watched her finishing the room across. In the end she waved me, walked pass my room door and kissed my goodbye! Guess the face I made, I stud up and the followed her perhaps snatch her. Quick as she was, she stud already downstairs. Embracing her boyfriend, giving him a kiss.

I only have one experience in Africa sofar (but a lot in Asia) and I am under the impression after my first stay that any girl is up for something if the offer is good enough. As I got offer by my room maid in Tanzania too. Especially if you speak their language and are charming it should be easy.

No money was given, just a fine lunche at the best restaurant was paid on a marvels sandy beach. I had a companion exrtaordiaire for a few hours.

At this hotel they did not have much to do, so I got easy in conversation with the two young Ladys. Both around 20 and quite pretty. Classy food was a general problem in this town , but one morning a french guy told me about a top restaurant a bit out of town. When I came back to the hotel one girl was still working so asked her if she wanted to join for lunch. She agreed strait away and we made a appointment at my room. I went to my room had a shower and a nap and later at the appointed time it nocked at the door.

All over I got the feeling the wibes. What ever you want call it for the situations like that in Mada. Or just I thougth so.

I was awaiting her just in underpants, took her in and made a comment of our different wearing. So I rather quick changed it to the same styl. She did not refused. Thought I am not just inviting her, pay the bill and she will walk of. No no like that!

I just took her just as I would have done it many times bevor with her, I did not go into experimental things but is was quite enjoyably.

After all we took a shower dressed up and went for a superbe lunch at the recommended beach restaurant. I got the all over impression that she and the girls in general are quite of well manner, so I treated them like that. But when we had lunch at the table the girl said she has to go for a pee and does not know the way. She just stud up, opend her pants and did the pee some three meters away from the table in the sand. Quelle belle vue !!

As we got home she just was at the time to start her work again wich was fine to me. Minutes later the real fier cracker arrived, a semi pro with no limits looking and going for it without me asking for.

From what I recall the only bank that was charging a withdrawal fee was BoA back in Oct 2019. Are these fees you mention at the ATM or the fee your home bank is charging? By the amounts whether euros or dollars it looks like the latter. In any case good to see 800 k widely available now.

BFV-gives 800 k no problem.

Yep. I have pulled 800 k at BFV Nosy Be and Toliara, and MCB in Tana. I think BoA might limit to 400 k. I have incurred standard ATM fees for using a debit card ($1. 50 at BFV to $3. 75 at MCB), and for a credit card it is 1% of the withdrawal.

If you need to draw very large amounts, up to AR 10 million I think, you can go into the bank (BFV) and use your debit card. The wait is short because there is a specific service with few people that use it, you just have to choose the correct ticket category. I did notice in late 2019 that when I did this my bank fee was 1% the withdrawal, like a credit card, even though I used my debit card.

I can not remember the limits and the banks I used. But 400 000 k is quite a sum in Mada, with some back up. Prior to my next trip I will ask my bank about the withdraw fees credit / debit. In the past I was told to use the debit card. Perhaps fees have changed. Easy cash withdrawals is a service I am willig to pay a faire price anyway. In hotels they like cash, the credit card fee goes on top of the bill next to taxes. But they accepted black under the table as well.

Just wondering how many (and which) banks you were able to withdraw 800 k from. I was there as well just over a year ago (October) and none that I tried would give me more than 400 k.
