No need to go to Mada for Tana only. At night its never safe in general. Walk with a mate or girl is reasonably ok. But alone: watch your back.

Visa on Arrival: print out from internet the application form, complete it at home, add a pic on it and the process at arrival is smooth and straightforward. 35 EU for 30 days.

Taxi to town: one time I paid 40.000, another time 50.000.

Hotel in Tana: NewSelect Hotel. Its next door to the Glacier. Location is perfect in downtown. The staircase is under construction and the elevator does not work (3 floors to walk up!) But the rooms for 72.000 with balcony are good, bed firm, shower hot and everything is working fine. ID-card form your copain is strictly required.

Glacier starts at sunset, I. E. 5:30, to get filled up. At 8:00 all the pros are there. You see them later at other bars. The last stop, as from midnight, is the TaxiBe, open till 4:00. Prices they ask are starting from 100 Euro, to go quickly down to 100.000 MGA and most settle between 40. To 60.000.

"Good" dating girls on TongaSoa and on Celebweb. On Badoo you find the pros.

Dinner to enjoy at Les Artistes, just in the lane behind the Glacier. Try the big (assume 1 kg) bbq prawn platter for 35.000: absolutely delicious..

Mangily: if you like Sun Sea and Sex, its the place. The new bungalows BellaDonna pieds dans leau are perfect to relax at daytime, with a massage thrown in. Then at night you walk 10 min to the main road: plenty local freelancers eager to share your bed. The morning cadeaux of 20.000 makes them happy.

Eating at "Freddies"- everyone knows. But cheaper and good quality seafood at Daniel's, 100 m up the beach: we had lobster "satt" for 2, costing 50.000.

Flight back to Tana: no problem to book in the Tulear office of AirMad: 630.000 one way -- and you can change date without add on charges. Flight was on time. All good.

Lot of types of Malagasy girls. I met a woman at Johannesburg airport on a flight to Cape Town. The seemingly innocent lady was inquiring about how life is Cape Town. I innocently gave info as I could and shared my phone number if she needs further assistance.

At this trip I experience more people to speak english. Also the more mature pros at Glacier or Maison switch (sadly) to English.

In the provinces however most of the girls I could find for the night only did speak Malgache.

You should check the posts of this forum, most information has already been posted. For hotels, Sakamanga is ok but you could have a look at Brajas (away from the crowd) or La Ribaudiere (awesome restaurant). They are much better quality for a similar price.

For fast pick-up, Manson is still the only place by night. No more than 50 K please. I went back there recently, it's packed with girls but not all fo them are pretty (or may be it's me). Buffet du Jardin is another interesting pickup place (in front of LE Louvre hotel).

By day time.

If you have time to spend online, more money and look for better quality, you will find escorts on faceb00 k in groups with keywords such as "plan", "lely", "sipa" (girl), "milely" (fuck), or "makorely" (hooker). Some of them speak English and would gladly.

Come with you in Maroansetra as tour guide. English-speaking tourists are very welcome in Summer.

I've stayed at La Ribaudiere earlier in 2013 and really loved its restaurant. I guess I am looking for a newer hotel than this one as I like to try new places. As for Maroantsetra, I have already booked with a guide there but thank you for your offer to come with me. Perhaps, next time I visit Madagascar. Madagascar still holds a huge heart for me and hope to visit it every few years so please take care of Madagascar to keep it stable!

If you are happy with pro, Pattaya or German FKK are perfect or better.

But if you like unexpected innocence, girls suddenly surprised by their own sex addiction to you, without stress or harassment. Mada is a gem. (Of course, if you also agree to leave your zone of comfort, even if personally, I always stay in local upscale hotels with A / C or bungalow of good standard on the beach).

About language, do not be afraid by French knowledge. Best Girls will not speak French more than you: only Malagasy.

So speak in your native language (especially English, to say, with smile and eyes, you are nice. Come with me? All girls in the street will understand)..

Hope this message finds you well. I will be in Tana for the third time (first one was in 2007, second in 2013, and now coming soon at 2018) so I would like to see how the Tana's center is? How is Hotel Sakamanga in these days? I have booked both Citizen Guest House and Hotel Maison des Cotonniers as I am always looking for a fresh boutique hotel. Even though I don't speak French, I find empathy and gesturing a couple of my best qualities to make the ladies feel at ease. But, I just would like to be prepared first and see which bars are the hot spots for this summer. (Please spare me from mentioning Glacier as I've visited it a few times). I am hoping to find a lady who's quite intelligent and is all about lust as my stay is going to be so brief.

Afterwards, I'll be off to Maroantsetra to check out the Masalo National Park for its awesome tropical life for a week before jetting back to the civilization!
