You mean Morondave? No Score or ShopRite. But there is number of decent restaurants I mentioned in a previous post. LE Gourmandise a good eatery has some specialty food like butter. I don't eat street food all the time either. In the tourist area you have at least another dozen or so restos. And one decent boulangerie where you can get your Lavazza Espresso and patisserie called choco coco.

There is a street full of streetwalkers (actually seated) near to hotel Relais Normand. If you stand with your back to the hotel facing the market you walk towards the right, then you take the first street to the right. Around noon I saw about 20 SW's mostly seated. A hotel in that price range that could be recommended is Central Hotel. Other than ownership doesn't have alcohol in the rooftop restaurant, everything else about it is great — real value. I used to stay there before Tamboho Suites opened. Warnings about pickpockets are for real. Beggars you can see coming but the real pros will stalk you and strike in pairs.
