Where was the massage location? You gave 40 k for massage and 20 k for her?

I am not at same level with my reports. But let's try.

Today transport morondava to tana via TransTsyTara, Mercedes 16 seats +2 in front, 40 k, quite good even with 1 seat only. I took the n10 next to the door. I could sleep, duration from 4 am to 5 pm. The tana station is a total mess but I had a taxi immediately for sole hotel, 20 k, tell me if it's too much.

Arrived sole hotel, 3rd floor, 91.5 k night, clean room, looks good, safe is there, shower looks clean.

I did a small tour around but came back to hotel and took massage.

Masseuse is a 27 petite but nice.

Massage start normally, back, then flip and I put my hand on her back, no issue, smile, then under clothes, then I undo bra, she continue massage specifically on sensitive parts closer and closer.

Then I ask to remove top which she did so I ask if she has condom, she look around and found one. So next step naked on the table and start the deed, she seems to appreciate, very friendly attitude. But I didn't come, bit tired. I gave 40 for massage and 20 for her and ask if she come to my room tonight.

She say impossible, but before leaving she say I will try to come, not sure if I can but will try. Let's see.

Mada is really an open country regarding girls.

And tell me if I give too much money.

    Regarding security
The road n13 going to fort dauphin from n7 between fiana and tulear is avoided even by locals as totally insecure, info from local in the bus today. N7 also is to be avoided by night but day is ok.
And in morondava lot people speak about a tourist attack on the Tsibihirina, very violent, 1 attackers being killed by a gendarme in front of tourists. I just did the same route last week but didn't knew, many tourists there.

    Noob advice- I did RTFF

    Hello gentlemen,

Thank you for looking at my post, and thank you for your previous posts, both here and for other destinations.

I did RTFF, so please excuse me if I missed what I am looking for.

Madagascar sounds very much like what I looking for with the ladies. But I don't wish to spend a lot of time on third world roads, and I probably wouldn't be able to go for more than 2 weeks. So I'm looking at Nosy Be and Tana. Nosy Be sounds very nice for the beach etc, but is it better for mongering than Tana? If not I might just stay in Tana.

Do I need to find places that are "girl friendly". When I read about The Gambia and Mombasa that seems like a major issue.

Thanks you for your help and good hunting.

    Kind regards,

    Dave.

As the title indicates, if you love swimming then Mangily is where you'll find a nice, calm and clean sea where you can lose your self.

In fact, Mangily, is where you can detoxify your body and mind from the frantic city life. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing. (with the exception of the vendors) come during low season! Cheaper and quieter!

    Accommodations:

There are hotels directly on the beach though more expensive than the ones inward closer to the main / only tarred road. The difference is obviously the direct access to the beach, but once the sun sets the beach really becomes dead quiet (as I like) and no action! The hotels on the road and inwards have a more lively ambience with bars and food / snack local vendors on both sides of the road and ton of people and pacing back and forth.

Great report!! Thanks a lot for sharing!!

T.R. 3rd part; (Mangily, swimmers paradise)

(Sorry for late posting, but I'm still not done yet!

The hotels on the road and inwards have a more lively ambience with bars and food / snack local vendors on both sides of the road and ton of people and pacing back and forth.

But the village is very walkable and you can reach the main road from the beach in 10 min!

    So in short;.

If you want to be in a busy setting surrounded by bars / discos, PLENTY local street food and local women after sunset and don't care about the sea that much then stay on / close to the main road. You'll also have the local market at your feet!

Prices vary; for beach hotels it's 45,000-200,000 AR, inward hotels are 10,000-35,000 AR.

    Food:

    There are really 5 options;.

1- Vazaha restaurants and all of these are on the beach. Highest prices but good quality plates with good quantity. I personally tried Chez Cecile and Princesse Du Lagun, and was not impressed with Chez Cecile for the reputation I heard about this place before arriving. The food was better for me at Princesse and they have a great dinner setup at night with fire and local live music / singing and dancing which is quite entertaining, however, they did terribly as they made 3 mistakes in my order and the glasses were filthy and unfitting of a vazaha restaurant!

I'm hopping that was a one off and not the trend!

Prices start at 22,000-25,000 AR per person.

2- Malagasy restaurants and the food is very good and hot. They have a green bean called 'Cabaru' which I love. They give you a dish of rice and your choice of meat / poultry or seafood in addition to the cabaru dish for 3,000-5,000 AR.

3- Malagasy street food vendors and this category comes alive after 5 pm especially on the main road. I've eaten there to test the food and was surprised how delicious and cheap it is. There is all kinds of food from pasta to fried seafood to brochettes to even cakes and sweets.

Prices start from 200 AR! And no I didn't get sick. I've never gotten sick from local food in all my travels!

4- Cook your own! Or hire a local for 5,000 AR to cook three meals for you.

Yes you can buy the coal / carbon stove around 5,000 AR, a pot or two for 20,000 AR each. Etc and of course the daily fresh sea food which arrives after 9 am and your basic food from local market. This is the best option for optimum freshness and control of quality!

5- Liked option 4 but don't want to go through the hassle of having to make daily trips to the market and don't want to buy all the stuff you need for home cooking but you still want a home cooked meal? Well, with this option you can hire a cook who will arrive to you with all the necessary tools and food to cook you what your heart desires. You can buy the "catch of the day" yourself and the cook will do everything else right in front of your doorstep!

Cost 3,000-5,000 AR for the "catch of the day" plus 10,000 AR for the cooking plus the rice / French fries and red tomato sauce.

I've personally tried this option and love so much that now I'm thinking to step up to option 4!

Safety and security and the dark roads. Hoooooh!

At the beginning I have to admit, I really needed to adjust myself to how dark the dirt or sandy roads between the beach and the main street really are! The first 3 nights I used a flashlight but noticed the locals weren't using lights! Then as I always greet people daily and receive warm welcome back and as I interact more and more with the locals I realized I have nothing to worry about, so, now, I just use the moon light and when I see someone with a flash light I know it's a tourist.

Folks, the people here are safe and Mangily is secured. So leave your fears and prejudice behind. Just be the vazaha who initiates a greeting and not just walk by them as though you're back home without saying Hello,.

Mangily is not connected to a public utilities grid / network so they rely on solar / batteries for electricity and wells for water. It's not dark because it's a low income bad neighborhood with high unemployment and drug use like in some developing countries.

Everyone here is working doing their part. Capitalism is true and pure here regulated only by market actors (buyers and sellers).

    Toliara-Mangily traveling.

    You have 4 options;.

1- Prvate taxi. Cost 50,000 either way. But make sure to have a few taxi numbers with you in Mangily to call from there.

2- Private Bajjaj / Tuktuk. They cost 20,000 AR one way. They have a couple of them in Mangily and a lot in Toliara.

3- Moto-taxi. These look almost like the famous Philippines' but seem uncomfortable as you have to climb into the back side and site on a crowded bench. Not sure the cost.

4- Taxi-brousse. These are mini-buses cramped with locals and sometimes chickens. LOL 3,000 AR. Not too many stops in between and not too bad.

    Women:

Ok, many of you now want to discuss the only thing you think about; P you S S why!

Relax, we are still in Madagascar so no worries.

In short, Mangily is a small village so once you are seen with a girl then everyone knows it!

Now pay attention here!! If you pick a pro then you will be fine changing one for another. But once you pick a regular and go for another girl and back to first girl, well you probably lost the first one as she now knows you are playing. This just happened to me; p.

That being the law of P you S S why in mangily and knowing I don't like the pro route, I've decided I'll hunt once a week in Toliara and bring women from there. After-all no need to upset the wrong fisherman family when there is so much P you S S why a 35 min drive to Toliara.

Also, to my taste, Toliara girls look much prettier and have more variety of looks and more educated. Mangily girls are 90% dark with unappealing features. And they don't like bjs! I had only two who I coached but the rule is they don't like it. Again, I'm talking about pure regulars around 18 yrs old. I'm sure a pro won't mind.

That being said I have tried Mangily P you S S why and for me I go walking inside the village and smile, wave and say Hello,. If they smile I'm in, and I arrange a meeting in my bungalow directly for after sunset. Some say yes and some decline. Again, I soon discovered words were being passed around I'm inviting women to my room and some of the girls didn't like that so I decided to stick to the Toliara route. Interestingly, I still get smiles so maybe the Mangily door is not completely closed yet!

I gave a gift of 10,000-20,000 AR st and 20,000-30,000 AR LT and they always say merci!

    Miscellaneous:

Women: They seem to be slightly of rougher appearance than what I've experienced from Toliara, Tana, Antalaha and Sambava. 90% don't even wear footwear and have harsh skin! Also, they are a bit more aggressive and not in the bed (I wish) but just for money and in a subtle way as a female they are less feminine in my eyes compared to "Bitsimsarka" girl of Sambava regiand.

My advice to newbies don't make this your first destination for mongering in Mada. Not worth it! Or spend your first 7 days in Toliara first cultivating female contacts to later invite to Mangily. Highly recommend!

Medicine: There is no pharmacy in Mangily. However, there is a dispensary where they have basic medicine like "Paracetamol" And they actually have a public hospital just on the edge of Mangily with a doctor on 24 hrs duty and a midwife. There you can get tested also for Malaria and HIV and get results instantly. You can get more medicines there. The consultation and tests are free but the meds aren't.

Weather: It's warm and slightly hot just for a couple of hours during midday. But nice and cool after sunset and slightly chilly during nighttime.

I had gotten slightly sick as soon as I arrived and went to see the doctor in the public hospital. He said it's typical because of change of weather.

But the weather is great. I never felt the need for AC or heater. But I have a small fan if needed. Also, no hot water.

Beach vendors: They could be annoying, but just smile and decline politely.

Mosquitoes: They are there and a bit annoying. Even the mosquito net can't stop them. But I found the antimostique coils do work. I light up 3 to 4 every night!

The Landscape: Mangily is very arid area with barren land, few vegetation and lots of cactus. Not pleasant to look at. But, then again, you get the beach and the sea, and the sunset.

Not too lazy to read this whole Mad thread. Made it back 15 pages in last two days, but have a neuro issue that causes eye strain and shitty migraines when I read too much.

So many names and nicknames for places:

Nose Be, Tana = Antananarivo, Sambava, Antalaha, Toliara, Andoany, Toamasina, Morondava, Taolagnaro, Antsirabe, Ambositra, Vatomandry, Tulear, Mangily etc.

Love the beach, but only have the 5 nights.

    1. Where would you go for such a short trip? Prefer lower end brothels, meeting girls on the street, but can do clubs.

    2. Are their issues bringing back to hotel? Don't really like ID checks etc (but don't like blackouts and no WiFi either).

Thinking about staying in Tana, but there are some flights directly to some of the smaller towns via Comoros etc.

Any suggestions? (feel free to beat me up).
Soon I'll also go there for the first time. I read a lot and for five days I would go to Tana or Nosy Be. It's easy to go there and on both places it's easier to find English speaking people. When you speak French, you can also go to smaller cities.

    Arrival update.

My experience last night. I arrived on Air Mauritius (3 hours late, assholes) at midnight. The only good thing was I was near the front and no other flights at the same time. I got through health and to the visa counter in 2 minutes. I asked for a 90 day visa (50 Euro) and she didn't blink. In another 3 minutes I had my receipt (slight change from before) and was in the immigration line behind one other couple. Being Mada they take their time but I got the visa and cleared in another 10 minutes. No bags to collect so out the door in 15 minutes! Must be some sort of record! No fixers, no attempts at bribes so I don't know what happened to NME.

Only drawback was my hotel didn't have my driver wait so I took a cab at 12:30 AM for 50000 (I know, too much but I was bagged and couldn't be arsed to haggle). And was at my hotel at 12:50. I am staying at New Select on a tip from Amadeuss (I think). Rooms are fine, king size bed, hot water, shit cable TV (the norm for Mada) and surprisingly good WIFI. If you are arriving daytime just show up and ask for the normal rate, 72000. I booked online my first night and it is a ripoff, almost 50% more. And Glacier is even closer than 100 metres with Pizza Gastronomie almost across the street. I don't know if that is the "big" one or the "small" one.

Premiere Class Transport cancelled my booking for Ambanja tomorrow so of course I go to the office and surprise, they are closed on Sunday, along with almost everything else. Will go early tomorrow morning and see what happens. If I have to wait more than 2 days I will say to hell with it and fly to Diego.

Sonic Boom: as to your question can I survive with no French at all? The answer is yes. You will have a much easier time the more French you know. Morondava

Now it's difficult to go out without crossing some nice chick's.

This morning I went out at 10 am, after breakfast and shower, and on the street, in front hotel, a cute petite girl was walking.

She said Hello, you want massage? In the room? Yes in the room. How much? 30 k,hum no, 20 k? No 15 k, ok she said.

And then she came back with some cream, we took shower together, need to be clean for massage. I washed her. Then massage for 30 mins and then things came, everything open, nice moment spent with her, smiling girl, not much French but enough to understand each other.

I gave 20 and rest after that.

I try to put her Pic here, petite but nice body.

    Morondava

    So things have improved.

By the end of afternoon, I tried to check the beach for massage girls or even girls walking there, but there was definitely nothing except people saying Hello, or salama in Malagasy, all very nice.

But, by walking on the street between baobab cafe and bougainvillier I saw several girls, some just sitting and calling for massage, they have a room behind or you can take their phone and call them from hotel, I took one number there.

Then I saw two cuties walking toward me, they stopped when I just watch them. One gave her number, I check ID's, 20 and 21.

I paid some beers and food in a bar on the street and came back alone to hotel, it was about 7 pm.

Around 9 pm after a power cut from 6 pm I called them, they came to hotel, security man bring them to my room and we had good time, shower altogether, action in bed but I didn't succeed in making any of them cum. May be its me, not experienced with young cuties like this.

Everything was open with both, I shagged them alternatively, several position, and had one pop.

Then they dress, they took some perfume from my bottle, very happy both of them, I gave some small chocolates which make them like kids, and gave 20 k AR each, after about 20 k for beers and food before.

Next time I will play with only one. May be it will be slightly better, but I wanted to try.

So, yes mada is mada. May I paid a bit too much. One of them was not happy of the 20 k but she left without any problem.

No photo as they didn't want.
