Was a few days in Tana and enjoyed the Street Hooker scene here, as this is really my thing.

Can you elaborate a bit more on your experiences with the street girls (areas, prices, service, time frame)? I have seen them around Sole Hotel at night but they generally only appear after sunset and the window of opportunity is about an hour after sundown. I felt you could hang around a bit longer but the safety situation degrades as the streets grow quiet.

During the day I only saw WG's in a back alley close to Hotel LE Relais Normand, street Lalana Karija or very near to it. Types methamphetamine ho's and potbellied housewives. Sure someone will like that 😄.

I'm sitting in Hotel Shalimar (recommended) in Tana right now and my Trip is going to end.

For me I did two mistakes.

1. Going to Toliara. This place Was not even close to what I expected. Yes, its quiet.

But I thought the were more girls available, but there are not so many. You go 2,3 Times to Disco and you know Everyone. At daytime its very difficult to find something to fuck.

I expected more. I should go to Tana, tamatave or nosy be.

My mistakes, lessons learned.

Maybe some time I come back, I would stay in tana longer for Sure.

2. The Language.

Yes, I knew this before.

I learned french for about one year with an App every day, but it was not enough.

I don't understand them, or they don't understand me. Its a hassle, but ST still possible, but I miss somehow the communication.

Many also have poor or no french skills.

Also it seemed many girls where somehow Shy, but maybe this is also because of the language barrier. But still the Service was good, but I liked to fuck the Mombasa girls more. But here BBFS was even more easy than there.

Anyway I did not regret this (even if I had regular stomach Problems) as it was an nice experience.

Maybe sometimes I come back, but go to other cities than.

For my next Trip I will finally try Cuba, as I'm hungry for latinas and I can get cheap flights from Germany for below 600€. And I have some spanish skills, so will be fine.

I just had a quick look on kayak and 2 months out a flight from Amsterdam to CDG will run you about 70-80 euro. On the other hand a flight from London to Paris can be had for about 30. Considering wages are paltry compared to Europe, someone in Tsaradia is making a shitload of money, or they should be. I know there are some economies of scale to consider but still. My flight from Tana to Tulear was around 120 euro and it was only half full. Doesn't make sense.

You compare apples with pears!

London Paris you can use train, car, ferry and plane. Its a short hop.

Tulear. Tana you can get a sore ass more than 2 days in taxi brousse paying 100000 AR plus overnight hotel.

Or pay 2 Mio AR for a private car, 1 1/2 days on the road.

Or use a plane 2 hours for 900 km.

Paris. Rome about same distance you pay more if you compare flights with 20 kg luggage. And no one complains.

Guys -- Mada got distances. Get real. If you not like it and and only have to complain, better stay in mom's basement.

Air Mad making money. A good one. That airline never made any money since inception. Maybe back in the 60's. Everybody steals. Same as Kenyan Airways. Air Mad if I remember correctly had a German manager years back. It didn't take long for him to be fired. Too efficient. Tried to get rid of the graft. 120€ is a cheap price. Haven't found anything less than 145€ up to 200€ one way to Tulear up till end of December. The cheapest tickets are the coup du coeur they're like 20 of them then the tariff goes up.

I meant for income level of this country. And there is only 1 airline, there is no competition.

What do you mean by that. Income level. There's plenty of filthy rich karane, gasy business people, government officials who help themselves raking it in. Fuel stealing from Girama is only one example. The poor steal the reinforcement irons from not yet dry concrete structures. Of course there's no competition. That's Madagascar.

31 hour journey from where to where?

It took more then 9 hours from Antananarivo to Tamatave by cotisse for me. The road is so mall, Tamatave port is the biggest in country so there are so many big trucks on the road. And the driver was going so fast sometimes. But sometimes 10,20 km per hour. So many potholes in some areas. And if you want to fly, 50 minutes flight from Antananarivo to Tamatave is minimum 460.000 (110 euro) For this country it is too expensive.

Sorry but I am done with long taxi brousse rides this time around. After my 31 hour journey from hell and my latest breakdown (with Cotisse no less) on the way back from Tamatave I have had it. Only got a week left. I am not going anywhere! Maybe next time.

If the roads (and travel times) continue to get worse I will have to think about going to fewer places and just fly. Fuck the cost.

Tamatave is relatively busy. I was unfortunate enough to get covid there about 3 weeks ago. Laid me out for a couple of weeks. La Terasse is bigger and busier than ever as you have probably seen. Now in Tulear and the opposite. Place is deader than a doornail with the exception of LE Jardin. A few lemur tourists and a smattering of expats. Score has 4 times as many employees as customers! Must have been a ghost town when covid was here. Seriously if I had known how quiet it is I don't know if I would have bothered this time around.

Head over to Fort Dauphin. Just grab a taxi brousse and hit the road.
