Yes Mada has a low population density. It also has virtually no health care and one BIG city, Tana, that is pretty packed. If the virus gets a foothold there it could be a massive problem. Let's wish them luck, as it is all most of them have.

China's population density is 397 people per square mile. Italy's is 532 people per square mile, and South Korea's is 1,366. The United States, by contrast, has only 94 people per square mile.

I think this may help explain why the virus has had little traction in the States outside of NYC. By contrast in New York State it's 421, and in NYC it's 26,400.

Madagascar's Population Density is only 118.84 people per square mile. It seems Madagascar will not have a serious problem.

Oh yeah I see turkey ban even with uk now. Last night was just another 9 eu countries on the list. Things changing in hours now!!

Fly out is still possible, fly in not, for European citizens. And in case of turkey, flights between turkey and many European countries are completely canceled.

But Europe has announced yesterday a full lockout of exterior borders, so, no entry from anywhere except if you are a European citizen.

Edit : maybe its same as what u said...

For European citizens they can enter Europe to go back home, by contacting the local embassy, and cannot exir Europe.

Borders will close today 12:00, no way out of EU for 30 days for European citizens.

For European citizens there is no last flight in, for them it's closed already.

Ethiopian Air is sending a Dreamliner for Thursday afternoon vazaha departure: it's last flight out. I got my seat confirmed. Mada could be a nice place to ride out a plague, that is if you don't get sick, and if you had the cash reserves, otherwise you'd be living the uncle neddy experience.
