A bord de mer. Malecon. All the same. On the sea shore. My french was non existent 5 years ago. Now its decent enough thanks to this superb app called mille. Basically its a a vocabulary trainer available for android. I can hold my own talking simple french with 1000 words. Now I try to tackle kiswahili. Its just so much more fun to understand the language and immerse yourself in malgache culture.

Where is Port de Mer? Not sure that we hit that place.

Ocean beach (the malecon) is a Dominican republic terminology, beach road is Thailand term and "port du mer" is the same exact thing used in Mada.

So in Majunga if you want to go to the Malecon aka beach road you tell the TukTuk driver Port du Mer.

I was last month or so in Majunga and I stayed in "hotel central" and Anjary hotel. Each has its cons and prons. Central is 55 k and anjary is 80 k. Central is always near full booked as it used as Monger hotel. It has WiFi and A/C but it basic. Some room the A/C and mattress are weak so check all rooms.

Anjary is a step up in every way. I even took a friq from 100 k room and moved it into my 80 k room.

"Port de mer" is the main mongering area so just walk or take tuk tuk for 1000. For 1 k you can go everywhere in every time including night with a tuktik.

Port de mer has it all including some scams so first thing you check very carefully the ID of the girls. You will get all kind of offers there. I did the trip with a car but for next time better to fly.

My buddy and I stayed at the Coco Lodge. Forget the price. But the location was pretty nice. Hotel is ok, food is very good and the pool area is pleasant. The cool thing was that we could basically walk across the street and we were at the taxi be. The quality there was uneven. Certainly some acceptable ones.

The other thing nice about the location is that it was not far to walk to Shakira and the other bar next to it. Forget the name. Also uneven quality but some winners.

Finally, an underused opportunity was the walking around the area by the ocean beach (the malecon). Lots of goodies there that were obviously on the prowl and the occasional looker. My buddy totally scored a winner there just by saying Hello,. I, due to my negligible french was not able to fully take advantage but it is all there. Looks like prime time walking around there maybe 7 to 10 ish. Depending on the day of course.

Where is Port de Mer? Not sure that we hit that place.

I saw that NewMadaExpert recommended a couple last year, wondering if there is any other opinions or more recent info. And any opinions about discos / bars? I was there very long ago, more than 10 years I think, and there was a hopping place called Shakira (when the singer was very popular) and a smoky bar with pool tables called, uhm, "Rock and roll cafe"? Found some very hot spinners.

I stayed last year in hotel Coco Lodge. Very good hotel is the city center and in front of Taxi bé Bar, a pick up point for girls.

Very clean rooms, good A/C, nice pool and most of all a very good restaurant.

That's also important in order to stay healthy in the tropics.

Its time to write some report about my 1 week stay at tamatave because have some time now going back tana with cottise. Honestly probably it was my best african trip from 6 diffrent african countries I visited for mongering. Girls have here better attitudes, very rare late at meetings, don't make big dramas and give great performance at bed, just a problem almost any girl speak english but google translator helps a lot. Also madagascar is very cheap compare with other african countries.

At night, it's 5 k in Tamatave. It's better to pay 5 k for the tuk tuk than take a risk by paying 1.5 k. You never know what can happen.

Again bajaj that's their name not tuk tuk are 1 k. Always. At night I wouldn't recommend them and I wouldn't pay 5 k neither because the fare is 1 k period. Again taxis are 3 k. The fare of 5 k at night is BS. If you know the driver or speak some Malagasy you never pay 5 k.

Which hotel do you stay at Tamatave? Do the girls ask you more to take them in pictures? Some are without the head, do you remove it or the girl didn't want you to take her face?

I have trouble one day at Antahala with one girl that I asked to leave after one night together. I took pictures of her at night and 1 hour after after she left she come back with a girl friend and knocked at my room 's door.

She asked me to erase the pictures if not she will call the police! I erase the pictures in front of her but I retrieve them 10 minutes after with a software. Same thing happened to me in Tana 10 years ago, I have to throw a memory card, but.

I saw that you are adventurous by visiting the brothel near Cotisse at Tamatave. So do you already try the girls on the streets near the Sole Hotel? There are many.

At sole hotel you must be careful cause some rooms didn't have windows, and the ones which have are small, so not nice to take good pictures or video but at night it didn't make any difference.

After 20 minutes I saw other girl at la terrase and take her instead. Even the girls saw I take everyday 2-3 diffrent girls they still want repeat and don't care. It just pure business. They are so desperate about money its not so many tourist like thailand or philippines and some of them go without costumers some nights. Here is easy even get girl 7-10 am morning you just text them or call and they come on time. (not like kenyan or ugandian girls sleep till 2 pm and late 1-2 hour at meeting).

You pay girls for sex so its your right to choose which girl you want to fuck and also most of girls at la terasse and taxi be know each other or are friends so if you fuck one others will know it. Some girls from taxi be and la terrase told me many girls like you here because you young and fuck good. I told them back: I also pay maybe what's why they like me?

Tamatave girls are great can't complain about their services.

Sole hotel at tana is fine I was staying here 4 times and never get a room without window. You should make a note for them you want room with window if you book on agoda. I saw freelancers near sole hotel but i never try them most of them is not good looking.

True but at night its 1.5 k in Tamatave. Majunga always 1 k no matter distance, day, or night.
