    Safety in tana

Hi all so I am about to make reservations for a short trip to Tana but I am wondering about safety. I may stay in SOLE hotel. Any tips about this hotel are greatly appreciated as well as advice about staying safe in Tana. Reading some of the posts on this forum I do not get the impression it is very safe after dark and.

Also, I am wondering about the best place to meet really nice looking Malgashy women.

    And advice is much appreciated.

I will be arriving late on the AF flight form Paris and also wonder about taxi. What is the best way to get to my hotel. How much?

    Thanks.

NB and some more info about other areas.

Thanks to all. I have of course already read the old entries about NB in this forum. My intention was to collect more impressions / opinions because of the ambivalent statements and the older ones are eventually not really up to date. But I think I will give NB a try!

Some words about the listed cities. It's just my opinion and I'm a bit strange. My french language skill is max A1. But doesn't matter. First of all: Mada is not save, especially at night in dark surroundings. So always be careful and everywhere you go you should wear your passport. I don't want to explain exactly but sadly I have made my experiences. Accept of hotel and transportation everything is very cheap. But transportation is really complicated.

Tana: It's more interesting as I have expected. You can find good food, sweet girls are everywhere and when you was not successful over the day go in one of the clubs at night. My favorite is Indra. Buy a beer at the entry and breath the crazy hot atmosphere.

Toliar / Ifaty: Totally different and all more relaxing. Everywhere these pus-pus, big markets, good restaurants also, some discos all in one street, not many foreigners. I can't describe the vibe. North of Toliar is Mangily. It's a paradise if you are in one of these bungalows at the beach. I didn't want to leave.

Tamatave: More green, not nice beach, also the beach in Foulpointe is not really nice. Difficult to go there but I have had a motorbike. I've driven with my bike in the north of Tamatave. This beach. Whauuu. Not for swimming because of sharks and currents but the nature. So many kilometers just sand, ocean and jungle, unbelievable. Many clubs with sweet girls but I guess that most of them are really pros. But who cares?

Sorry about my English skills. But you should hear my French.

Now it's time for me for something new. Experts, what would you say? Maybe some recommendations? Would be great!
I can recommend Nosy Be, please read my last post (3064).

Your place is Ambatoloaka. It's small and everything is easy to find. You already have experiences, go there. I'm sure you will enjoy this place. Beaches, chilling, party, good food.

I run a search on a keyword "Sambava" and got all the result about 20 pages. I used "Advanced search".

I also never take taxi so if a police call me I just keep walking and tell them that everything OK. So they can run after me or arrest me or go fuck themselves. They never run after me as I increase my speed when they start to call me.

Also in Thailand when police officer flag me to stop I increase my motorbike speed and disappear. In Tana I just walking but same idea.

I am half Arab half Moroccan from the middle east. I think is in our DNA. But go to Africa who will give you money? No one even if you die they will do everything not to give you anything.

I lived years in Mtwapa Kenya and has some disputes with girls over 1000 bob sometimes is was ended with brutal punches and blood to the face. But give me 500 years to evolve to reach your level of the European culture. So I will do everything to avoid confrontation. Meanwhile I am the one that initiate them when needed.

And about Amadeus comment let me tell you its has nothing to do with Logic as its "only Small money" its about Ego, cultures, money. Look around you this is why all wars are starting not because of any logic and motivation to avoid confrontation.

So keep enjoying to contributing 10 k to the police every time they feel they want to fuck you.
