But I settled for brochettes de poulet avec chips and a bottle biere froid. Sets you back 20 k ar. Way cheaper than Kenya . And big chunks of chicken filet and excellent sauce moutarde. Opposite me a chica smiles at me. WTF. Looks doable but a bit hardcore. Well. Time for dessert. I took her for a quickie. Good BBBJ which is standard of course. Gentlemen. I decided to use La Bousse from now on. Not Eagle. La Bousse was a famous pirate francais. The bussard that is. Because he strikes fast and hard. Hehe.

The price you pay in Madagascar once you arrive is. LE merde malgache, which caught on me just after three days. So Ne pas de report de nuit de Tana. Sorry. But. I have to commend Air Mad. After 3! Years they gave me a free ticket with a letter of apology. 3 years ago a flight was cancelled and they owe me money since 3 years which I recovered now. Talk of sterling customer service. I choose a one way ticket to Diego. But plenty time left. So I jumped in Cotisse to Tamatave. Bien. The Trip took 8 hours and 45 minutes. On the way there was a Gendarmerie holdup. Apparently they just bundled up some dahalo and tied them up and dumped them in the back of the truck. Hotels are quite fully booked. At least the economy ones. Cest la vie. I spend one night in Anjary absolutely deluxe for 70 k. Highly recommended. After that I went house hunting with a pousse driver. After checking out 5! Places I settled for Hotel Eden. No the name has nothing to do with paradise. Au contraire. But I can't complain. You pay what you get for. 30.000 AR. But only 150 meters from Taxi Be. Pousse is a 1000. Tuktuk 2000. Taxi 5000. Tonight I went out on a survey for les putes. O lala. Tres bien. In the late afternoon there is already plenty choice on the seafront behind the stadium loads of malagasy boites and eateries. And some monger francais on the hunt. Later I went to Taxi Be to check out the goodies. And man. Let me tell you. Chicas of all sizes. From hard core to semi. All there a man can dream of. After I collected a few numbers for later reference. I call it a night.

Does anyone have information regarding that ferry.

Will be in Madagascar for January and will write a field report of my trip in a Jan Feb. Plan to travel all over the island and not staying more than 2 days per town it will probably be my last trip to the paradise island.

Sounds like a lot of stress. Best you charter a chopper. By the way there is some choppers now available for the presidential candidates. Maybe you can hitch a ride.

Yes we do. Any kind of boat is a good way to die. Last month I saw a cargo boat breaks just close to the shore in Anthala, it was amazing and let me tell you that boat will stay there forever she will not be able to move from the rocks just next to hotel Hazazola. There are zero safety and all theoretical mistake a human can do happens in Mada. When you take the boat bring flippers and mask.

A very good restaurant and a good hotel with a few rooms, all furnished with dark wood, flat screen, a safe and a fan. They also offer laundry service.

Friendly stuff, many french guys there, some expats and locals dining there. Its often full. Rates for the rooms starting by 75.000 Ariary. The rooms are in a backyard, so traffic noise is no problem.

Who did "update" your map? In that region the only passenger boats are heading to Ile St Marie.

If you got time, you can go to the harbourmaster at Tamatave and check the next cargo vessel heading to Anthala (. As I remember, there is a pier), but its a time consuming challenge and the vessels are from the slave trade. Figure their seaworthiness.

After having my balls drained properly. Time to rock and roll. Its party time. It was not my intention to end up in Glacier again Saturday night as I intended to sample other party venues. Huge Afro hair. Big earrings. The Frenchman know where paradise is on this planet. But than the grand communicateur rings and the chica disappears in dead ground. Ce la vie. But the other one. Bien.
