I went through Fenerive last year on my way to St Marie. I didn't see much but it seemed a bustling little place that would be worth a couple of days as a get away from Tamatave. On the other hand I am not sure it is worth the effort over that horrible road.

Beno69 I am not sure of your post. Are you saying the list of countries in Africa including Mada girls are 800 plus ST and 1500 plus LT? I cannot say for any of the others but I pay 300ST and 500 LT in Mada and some would probably say I am overpaying. Who on earth but a one week millionaire would pay that kind of money in Mada, or am I misunderstanding your post?

And with respect, 500-700 for Thai girls is mainly for guys that live there or don't mind bargaining for half an hour on Beach road. I bet one newbie who has just stepped off the plane in Bangkok hasn't gotten an equivalent price in 20 years! A guy who just stepped off the plane in Tana could find a girl for 300 in 20 minutes.

That's why I live in Pattaya - no long flight and no cost! - Mada- / Uganda-n / Kenyan- / Ruanda- etc. Girls 800-1000 THB ST 1500-2000 LT. - Thai Girls 500-700 THB ST. Food etc. - everything nice and affordible! Big nice Appartement instead of lousy, expensive Hotel!

I was here last year the main problem is that I saw no girls. I stayed in hotel "belle rose" 30 K per night. Hundreds of boats on the beach so its not a swimming beach is a fishing beach. Some girls on the beach below the age but that's the same situation as Anthala. No Adults.

    Fenerive est.

I wanted to explore this prefectoral city, capital city of cloves and pepper.

You reach it after 3 h30 of taxi-brousse by the bad tarred road north of Tamatave (100 km) supposedly retarred by the Chinese about 8 years ago (I believe they tarred more some officials wallets).

Usually travellers pass just the city, on the way to Soeniarina Ivongo to take the boat to Sainte Marie.

As I imagined it is an alternative to Antalaha, easily reached from Tamatave, without to pay expansive airfares to Sambava / Antalaha.

After several days, I have not yet seen a single face of vazaha! However after 5 days I succeeded to see 3 or 4 vazahas faces.

In fact it is a charming garden city, as most houses are shallowed by splendid trees and vegetation.

And as I imagined, it is really at par with Antalaha, but with more vegetation.

A medium sized city on a nice peaceful little bay. With a 500 m beach alley, with its wall to sit, with a 500 m avenue de l'indpendance, leading to it, with tall palm trees as in Tamatave.

No tuk tuk pollution, only cyclo pousses. And on the main road dirty diesel smell of taxi-brousse and motorbikes.

Same ethny of girls (Betsimisaraka) that Antalaha or Tamatave.

Accordingly, they are very opened. Just with exchanges of smiles, you can pick up flowers to follow you at cheapest cost in a world where you are a king. On girls walking alone near the beach, in the market streets. Ratio of OK to give phone number then come to your bed will be 3 on 4 met.

You can walk on the beach, (and maybe swim as it looks a very quiet bay. But as Malagasy usually do not know swimming, nobody is in the sea) but a better place for beach and swim is the area called *LA PISCINE (about 2 km from the center, 1000 AR by pousse) in fact a natural sea area, where the Malagasy, on Sunday or Saturday come to enjoy the water. As most of them do not know swimming, so it is not deep. But if you are a standard swimmer, you swim just beyond or nearby, in a nice scenery of small island in front. And on this beach, which is the local *resort* you have a dozen of gargotes to drink and eat fresh grilled fishes or chicken. And enjoy. With or without your girlie.

Unfortunately, there is no hotel or restaurant in front of the beach as in SAMBAVA. The best accommodation (100 m from the beach) and very close of city center are Hotel DANIAL (with good food) and Hotel LE NOYAU (good Chinese food) . All other premises are too far from action. Room rates 50 000 AR or below (without TV). For backpackers, and no witnesses, Bungalows LE TIPIAH 20 m from the beach at 20 000 AR. For those who already have a beloved regular and want to enjoy luxury, there is, far from the center, but uphill over «*la piscine*» a superb hotel restaurant OASISLODGE with stunning view over the bay, private pool, bungalows with aircond at 150 000 AR (40 E!. Less than any one star European hotel! The place is perfect if you have a motorbike. But consider it secluded if you have no transport.

Personally, I stayed in Hotel Danial. I preferred the room on back side building (with room WiFi as front building) for two reasons: the taxi-brousse station is too close of front building (so noisy early morning) and you have a private passage to join the back building without passing the reception area. Simple premises, but correct for quality / price. Moreover restaurant food is 30% cheaper than in Tamatave.

    Tamatave.

    Pandora is close.

    Pandora.

The day when I went to leave Olivia on Ivoloina Boulevard for her to catch a tuk tuk was a Friday. Pandora Station nightclub was a few metres away. However, it was raining heavily and pitch dark on the road. Yet near Pandora Station nightclub I did see a couple to tuk tuk and few guys and girls. I could not make out whether it was open or not. Pandora or any night club was last in my list, so I was not interested to know more about it.

    Tamatave Day 5.

When I woke up at around 10 am, it was still raining heavily. I managed to go to L'Affiche restaurant for lunch. Although the staff were nice, the owner was not welcoming.

I then walked to La Terasse restaurant to have a beer. I saw the owner meeting each and every customer and wishing them Happy New Year.

I came back to LE Veranda Hotel and slept.

In the evening, I went to La Terasse restaurant again for dinner. I owner recognised me and came to speak.

After dinner, I went for a stroll near the beach when I met Sara again, I took her back to the hotel. Sara is well built and tall but not an ounce of fat. We agreed MGA for short time and 30,000 for overnight if we could do more.

We could do only once as we were both tired. So, she left at around 11 pm and I slept.

The next morning, I checked out of the hotel and left Tamatave.

It was indeed a very nice experience and so easy to hook girls.

    Tamatave Day 4.

I woke up at around 9 am. I was feeling tired, so didn't go for breakfast. Instead, I packed my luggage as I had to check out.

Hotel 501 had informed that they would close as from 1st up to 9th January 2018 for holidays. So, I had to change hotel.

I caught a tuk tuk and went to LE Veranda Hotel. I checked in and took a short nap.

After I woke up, I walked to LE Bateau Ivre for lunch. I roamed around and met a girl, Sara, who waved at me but could not connect as she was leaving in a pousse pousse.

I returned to LE Veranda Hotel and slept. I woke up at 5 pm. After shower, I walked to La Terrasse for dinner. It was crowded and many people waiting outside. So I walked to the beach.

I had a pizza in a restaurant near LE Bateau Ivre. I met a girl, Nathalie, who agreed for a short time for MGA 20,000 including some massage.

Nathalie was not a looker but a little plump but nice to talk to. She massaged my whole body nicely and did BBBJ. We did only once. It was raining heavily. After she left at around 11 pm, I slept. I didn't watch the fireworks welcoming the New Year.

    Tamatave Day 3.

I woke late in the morning, so didn't have breakfast. I walked up to Darafify restaurant and had lunch.

I, then took a tuk tuk and went to La Veranda Hotel to confirm by room booking for the nest two days.

It was very hot, so sat at the beach near LE Bateau Ivre. As around 4 pm, just walked up to Piment Banane to check the menu and eat something. I was informed that it has changed owner. So, I left.

I was returning to Hotel 501, I saw a massage place, called Exotica Massage, along Boulevard de l'Augagneur. The massage price started from MGA 20,000 for 30 minutes up to MGA 60,000 for 90 minutes. I took a one hour massage at MGA 40,000. It was an erotic massage. The girl, may be 21 years old, rubbed her boobs and asked for MGA 100,000 for FS. I refused.

I returned to Hotel 501 and slept.

In the evening, Olivia came again at around 8 pm and we enjoyed again as the previous night. We again did twice. Olivia was tight and liked to be licked and fucked slowly.

After Olivia left at around 10 pm, I had dinner and slept.

    Tamatave Day 2.

I woke up at around 8. 30 am. After breakfast, I walked along Boulevard Ratsimilaho by the sea. After passing by Hotel Miramar, I came to Avenue Ivoloina.

I bought one Orange SIM Card at MGA 1,500 and added credit of MGA 7,500. As the weather was good, though a little hot, I walked up to Hotel de Ville.

While walking along Boulevard Augagneur, I passed by one girl who smiled. I held a brief introduction and we exchanged numbers. Her name is Loiska.

After visiting the Hotel de Ville and the railway Station, exchanged come Euros at Librairie Fakra at the same rate as yesterday.

I caught a tuk tuk to return to Hotel 501. There was one girl in the tuk tuk. She smiled as I was getting in the tuk tuk. Her name is Olivia. I just told her she has a beautiful smile and we started a conversation and exchanged our numbers. I invited her for a beer in the evening. She told me she would let me know.

After reaching the hotel at 2 pm, I phoned Loiska and invited her. She told me she would come in one hour. So, I took a rest.

Loiska came directly to my room at around 3.30 pm. Loiska has a good body but a little chubby. She was game for everything: BBBJ, DATY but no anal. She was a passionate kisser. We did only once as she had to return home by 5 pm I gave her MGA 20,000. She was happy.

After she left, I slept. When I woke up at 7.30, Olivia phoned to ask whether she could come. I agreed.

While I was still taking shower, Olivia knocked at the door. I covered myself with a towel and opened the door.

Olivia came in. She was wearing a red dress. She is petite and slim. I held her in my arms and kissed her. She was a little shy. I undressed her and invited her in the shower.

After taking shower together, we kissed and rolled on the bed. She does not do BJ and wanted to do bareback. She allowed DATY but no anal. We did twice.

As it was raining heavily, I borrowed an umbrella from the hotel and accompanied Olivia till Avenue Ivoloina where she got a tuk tuk. It was already 10 pm. I paid the tuk tuk MGA 5,000 and gave Olivia MGA 30,000.

Pandora Station nightclub was a few metres away but could not see whether there was any girl as it was dark and raining heavily.

I came back to Hotel 501, had dinner and slept.

    Tamatave Day 1.

After reaching Hotel 501, as the room was not ready, I had lunch at the restaurant. After that I slept at around 1 pm. I woke up at around 4.30 pm.

I wanted to buy a SIM Card, so walked to Ivoloina Avenue to catch a tuk tuk to go Score hypermarket. I paid MGA 1,000.

I enquired with the tuk tuk driver where I can change Euros into MGA. He took me to Librairie Fakra. I changed 1 Euro at MGA 3,660, better than the exchange rate at the airport.

I came back to Score to buy a SIM Card. I was told that they would require my passport for registration. So, I went back to Hotel 501 and came back to Score. Unfortunately, Orange shop had closed. I did some shopping at score and returned to Hotel 501.

I took a stroll along the beach. I met few girls who were smiling. However, my walk didn't last long as it started raining heavily.

I came back to Hotel 501, had dinner and went to bed at 11 pm As I was feeling tired.

    Tamatave restaurantts.

    Hotel 501 restaurant.

Hotel 501 restaurant caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It looks very popular as it was almost full both for lunch and dinner. The prices are also reasonable: One whole grilled fish is at MGA 23,000, one pizza at MGA 15,000 whereas one beer is at MGA 5,000. The owner often attends to customers and joins them to converse or for a feedback.

    Darafify restaurant.

Darafify restaurant is also a good one. It is a couple of kilometres from Hotel 501 and beside the seaside. It serves good portion sizes of the different dishes on the menu. The prices are also reasonable. One fish plate with vegetables is at MGA 17,000. Only negative point is that they take long to bring the dishes.

    Piment Banane.

It is supposed to be a very popular place and recommended by many, a must in Tamatave. However, when I went there for lunch, I was informed that the owner has changed.

    LE Bateau Ivre.

I had lunch at LE Bateau Ivre on the eve of the New Year. It is by the seaside near the city centre. It was crowded. The food was good at reasonable price but the service was so so.

    L'Affiche.

It is located along Boulevard Joffe, very near to LE Veranda Hotel. It is very popular with locals as well as expats. However, the owner is a little rude the way he addresses customers.

    La Terasse Restaurant.

It a very popular restaurant in a central location and as such it is always crowded. The owner is a very nice person, very jovial and always tending his ears to your requests. It is the best restaurant after Hotel 501 restaurant for the food.

    Tamatave Hotel review.

The remaining two nights, I stayed at LE Veranda Hotel at MGA 101,500 per night. It is found on Rue Lieutenant Berard which perpendicular to Boulevard Joffe.

I got a double room on the first floor. The window opened on the road side. The room was bigger than the one at Hotel 501.

The Hotel is around 300 metres from the beach. L'Affiche restaurant on the corner of Rue Lieutenant Berard and Avenue Joffe is hardly 50 metres away. La Terrasse restaurant on Avenue Joffe was a further 50 metres away.

The hotel is girlfriendly. However, the girl has to leave her ID at the reception.

The A/C was working good and the Wifi also was fast. There was a TV in the room but not much to watch.

Again, the bed was comfortable here.

One negative thing was that they didn't clean the room in the morning. When I asked them, they told that I should have left the key at the reception. Second negative thing is that the towels are very small.

Third negative thing is that the water is not that hot.

The Officers at the reception keep on changing. So, it may that when you go to the room, there is one person and when you come down, there is another.

    Tamatave Hotel Review.

I stayed at Hotel 501 for three nights and paid MGA 76,000 per night.

Hotel 501 is a nice hotel. I was welcomed by Vanessa, the Officer responsible for reservation. I reached the hotel at around noon; however the room was not ready. So, I took lunch at the hotel restaurant.

I got a double room with balcony on the first floor. The room faces the sea. Hotel 501 is not exactly on the beach as there a Boulevard Ratsimilaho in between, though the so called boulevard is nothing but an unpaved road. May be it was paved long back.

The reception is in the restaurant. So, girls can come directly to the room.

Two towels were provided in the bathroom together with toiletries. However, the towels were small. Hot water was also available and a little erratic.

There was a safe in the room but no TV. To watch TV, you must go to the restaurant. The AC in the room was working properly. WiFi was available in the room and was quite fast.

The bed was good and I slept comfortably.

One negative thing is that you can hear noise from the stairs and when guests from other rooms opposite and adjacent were moving in and out of the room. Another negative thing is there was only one power point. So charging mobile phones could be done one by one.

Avenue Ivoloina is some 300 metres from Hotel 501. It is the road which goes to the city. Pandora Night Club is found on this road. You can bring girls from Pandora Night Club to Hotel 501. But at night the unpaved road is really dark. If you want to walk the short distance, you will need to bring a torch. At night, it is not easy to get a tuk tuk.
