Antoine, Joburg has a big crack problem and all the street hookers are addicts. There are plenty of them all around Hillbrow, but unless you know Joburg very well, dont even think about it. You will probably be mugged within 5 minutes of arriving anywhere in downtown Joburg, Hillbrow, Joubert Park etc at night.

Stick to newspaper ads in the personal section of The Star and various northern suburb brothels, or if you do want to go into Hillbrow, go to the Summit Club.

Was in Joburg for a couple of days on business a few months ago and didn't have much time to visit any of the fine establishments advertised in the forum or on the web.

The flight landed at around 6:30pm and it was around 7:30 by the time I cleared immigration and customs. I got to the hotel (Holiday Inn Sandton) by around 9:00pm totally exhausted. As it was my first night and I was totally beat I decided not to go out and instead opted to call some of the numbers I had been generously donated by fellow members. After several voice mail greetings "Sorry I can't take your call right now.." I finally got through to a very sexy sounding "Paris" 500 Rand-1hr.

I asked her to come over to my room (100 Rand for the taxi- no problem). Be there in one hour. This was at 10:00pm. Sat down to watch some Magnum PI and almost fell asleep. I had given up on her when the hotel security desk calls me in my jetlagged stupor "Sir you have a visitor". I check my watch - freakin 1:30am! So much for 1 hour! I hoped this time-dilation would continue throughout our session (no such luck). I went down to get her from the reception desk and was pleasantly surprised- she looked better than I had expected.

Anyhow to cut a long story short- she turned out to be a nice girl, good looking, nice figure, bubbly personality with a good sense of humor. Buzz you are right, I to have experienced what you are talking about, but it is only on new years eve when the furniture starts flying from the windows.

Personally I have been to the Summit Club many times and have always enjoyed it. Its the most cosmopolitan brothel i've been to. Girls from various eastern European countries, Thai chicks, white and black girls from S Africa as well as many other African countries.

However I would not deny that Hillbrow is dodgy. But with common sense it is definately do-able. If you drive the summit has secure parking and an armed gaurd will escort you over the road to the entrance. If you take a taxi from your hotel you will have no problem. Its very hard to convince those that don't read reports to stay out of Hillbrow unless they have a penchant for andrenaline and or taking their lives in their hands. The last time I was there, refridgerators, stoves and all manner of furniture was being thrown from apartment buildings.

Just for the record Johannesburg has one of the highest homicide rates in the world bar none - but hey if you think you would like to try being a hero then go for it.

There are tons of places with ladies mostly in the northern suburbs but as I have always said go to Pretoria and try an Afrikaans girl. You will never be the same again. Mostly they are very hot and into everything.

There are also many bars in PTA and if I can pick up chicks then hell anyone can. The girls love to drink and are sometimes easy pickings, send over a bottle of champagne and you are made. Have good manners and be some what decently dressed and you wil have a good time. South African girls appreciate natily dressed gents.

lastly cover it up SA has the highest rate of AIDS in the world but again if you would like to play Russian roulette then by all means take a trip into Hillbrow.

Do have a grand time though, South Africa is a great country.

On a visit recently a local friend brought me to a new club/bar: Malasha. it is situated in Jan Smuts #268 and is very close to the Porsche garage.

We paid 50 ZAR or so entrance. There are maybe 5-10 topless girls serving drinks and cuddeling on the couth with you if you pay them a drink. When I was there it was like 4 am so they let touch and massage their breast etc.

Going to SA first time ever. Been reading up on this forum and looks like the best idea is on sextrader.

I noticed a question about Sextrader.com and thought I'd post this report from my recent trip. As there is little info on Cape Town in the archives, I thought I’d add some basic 411 on hobbying in the country.

First, sadly, I was in Cape Town the week following the Rugby game against New Zealand (part of the annual TriNations Cup). I kept hearing that the previous week was too busy and therefore there were a fewer number of providers around than normal. Selection at the full service clubs certainly seemed poor, although not at the Strip Clubs. (all prices in dollars but I pay only pay in S.A. Rands)

The reference point for most hobbyists in South Africa was a famous sex club in Johannesburg called the Ranch, which closed about 3 years ago. $50 got you full bar, dinner, a floor show and then for another $100 you had your pick of a girl, a room for a full hour, including a whirlpool bath either before or after. Since that club closed, most clubs across the Country are smaller venues with a handful of girls; these businesses operate either out of suburban houses converted into many studio suites or in central business districts where a floor of a commercial building will be reconfigured into anything from an AMP to a stripped down motel 6. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in many places and you just have to be prepared visit a couple places or take pot luck; you can have a night of too much choice or double paper sack. I’ve found over the years it’s best to ask when you phone who’s working (age and nationality etc. You’ll find the full range of cultures from Eastern European, Indian, Brazilian, Asian to South African bombshells and everything in between). You can use the newspapers to book independents, or use www.sextrader.co.za for ladies, but I've always liked paying a bit more and getting to chose my poison on the spot. Plus the ease of not dealing with some of the chain hotels that make it tough on bringing ladies in.

For my trip to Cape Town, I had been planning on visiting a place called Penthouse Dolls. They advertised 12 to 20 girls on premises and their website had some great photos, as well as showcasing a nice setting. When I called during the day they seemed mostly staffed by Asian Girls and was told to call back that night for a better selection. That night the choice was slightly broader: Asian, Black and Coloured Women (Coloured refers to any of a wide range of races, Indian, Cape Malay, mixed ethnicities and is not derogatory. It’s also does not include Black). Neither of the ladies I was mentioned seeing on the website were to be had so I didn’t visit.

Just a footnote in case anyone intends to go – check the website and you’ll want to- it’s located in the central business district on the second floor of a former bank office complex. No marking on the outside of the building, so you’ll need to get exact directions when http://www.penthousedolls.co.za/ I was quoted around $100 for full menu (FS) for an hour but double check when you call. Friends had told me they had done well at this place, but sadly I wasn’t to find out.

I then picked up the CAPE ARGUS paper. There are two local papers, but this one has the market cornered on Adult Personals. I started with The Castle (on Castle) and they had only 9 girls working-mostly Asians. When I asked about their strip show (as advertised in the local daily paper), I was told it was only on weekends. They did have a pool table, large screen tv and a bar to while away the time while waiting for the right girl or if you were waiting for a friend to finish up. Another club a block away, Majestique, had a very ugly selection.

At this point it was about 6:30 and I called Elegance. They told me that they had 9 white ladies about to go off shift, to call back between 10 and 7 (doh!) or after 7 for the next shift. When I called back after 7, it was only black women ( I had my heart set on a white South African country girl —call me a fool- you know the girl just off the farm!).

With sadness in my heart, we ended up at TEAZERS downtown. Teazers is a chain of strip clubs throughout South Africa ( a la Déjà vu) filled with with exceptionally beautiful ladies. It’s your basic lapdance club; 50R entrance (~$8), grinding in private booths ($20 bucks for 2 dances) or table dances on the main floor (a little less than $15 for 2 dances). I spent a few bucks with Nina a dark hair beauty from Sophia Bulgaria, and prior to that I visited with Sandra, a bottle blond from one of the former Soviet Republics. Both had natural breasts, exceptionally toned and tanned torsos but sadly no one let you use your hands- although sucking their breasts seemed ok – go figure?? I suffered terribly through the evening but was determined to do better the next day.

After lunch I called Elegance. Their newspaper ad heralded FREE TOPLESS INTRO, and listed the 6 or 7 girls by name in attendance that day. It’s located in the heart of the restaurant/gallery district - between Long and Loos Street. Again, there are no signs and you need to get complete directions and door number when you call (021 426 1392). I think it was 47 Long St, second floor (for you Americans, that's actually the 3rd floor). Over the phone I was told that it was $50 bucks for a “pelvic” massage, but you could negotiate extras with any lady. A very beautiful large breasted woman in a thin t-shirt answered the door. She said she was the receptionist and recognized my accent from the phone. I told her breasts that I was disappointed when I called the previous evening and she explained that the day business was a different company than the evening. I followed her breasts to a room and was offered a seat. (The premises had 6 small rooms, plus shower room. Each room had some mirrors and a massage table or a mat style single bed). She asked for $15 deposit and the ladies would introduce themselves one at a time. If I didn’t find a lady I liked, I’d get a coupon good for my next visit. (With my eyes still stuck on the receptionist’s chest I think I agreed. I may have also drooled). After 7 average ladies, Stacy of heraldic breasts returned. She asked me which lady I wanted and I asked if she was available. Her yes was the first thing that had gone right in 2 days.

She explained the system of extras which she said was pretty standard for all the ladies. If you have a calculator, and a math degree you’ll understand. $5 extra for body surfing, $10 extra for French, $5 extra for playing with her or if you want to combine any two there is another price and if you just want to throw your cares to the wind, you can do the FULL MEAL DEAL for $105, which also includes a massage! I grabbed a shower and when I got back to the room she was ready. She told me she was Cape Malay mixed with Mediterranean. If you’ve ever seen pictures of a young Lena Horne, you’d have her skin tone, and figure down although Stacy had much larger (natural) breasts. I took the full meal deal, which culminated in Stacy doing a kind of Russian squatting dance while bouncing on my pole. OhMyGod. And the complementary massage was nice too.

I didn’t get to any clubs in Joburg this trip but satisfied myself with some civilians. Sorry no extended trip report for that city, but if anyone ever has questions, I can point you to clubs, general rules and where to research.

there are a few otherwebsites, but this is the most complete. It has a subsection on clubs which shows a new trend of FBSM popping up, mostly in Joburg. These FBSM clubs are in every part of the town, and should be nearby any place you are staying. They are pretty specific about no full house (i.e. Full House = full sex).

PRINT FOR JOBURG: most clubs advertise in the daily newspapers, you may need to check more than one local paper as I found in Cape Town. Unlike some countries, the papers put both Indie ads and Brothel ads in the personal section. In Joburg I like the paper called THE STAR. The personals are section 191.

In the last 2/3? years I've found Papillion to be the best of the little independent "houses". Most houses that I've been to are pretty much the same set up. You pay a small fee to enter which gives you some access to a bar, often a potluck kind of dinner and usually a lounge area where you can mingle or hang out with a buddy until you find a lady you like. Usually on weekends a professional stripper comes in for a 15 or 20 minute performance. Since strippers travel around performing at several clubs, show times "vary". As in all cases, you should either call in advance and ask how many girls are there and nationalities, and don't be afraid to ask to "look around" before paying your money. They'll cut you more slack as your not from the area.

BY ALL MEANS DO NOT get suckered into to a club called Summit in Hillbrow. Unless you go with a local you'll feel pretty nervous about the area/club/selection. It used to be the place years ago, but is now v. bad and the neighborhood can be pretty dicey. The place is a bar, above it are lousy hotel rooms.

The SW trade starts in Greenpoint near the stadium (Not near the stadium but across the street) And most of the girls can be found near the hotels on the street(Alot of white girls lately...).
